My dad never wore a sparkly cape. Can you even imagine being ELVIS’ daughter? Elvis had the world balanced on his shoulders from the beginning. Until he couldn’t anymore. He thought of everyone else first.

Lisa's love song to her father.....full of passion and truth ...I cried a lot listening to her heartfelt words and her love for him. I have heard her say in interviews that she felt protective
of him....always. After she met Austin Butler (who portrayed her
father in "ELVIS") she stated that she wanted to protect him too from whatever criticism he may receive from others for his performance. As far as she was concerned Austin
captured her father's heart and who he was beautifully. She said watching the film was very emotional for her.
Thank you Miss Candie for this
request. Lisa was her father's pride and joy and she adored him.
Thank you Ray for playing this loving tribute from a daughter to her father.
I appreciate your reaction from your heart . ❤️❤️

"Nobody Noticed It" is from her album "To Whom It May Concern". Lisa Marie wrote this song to address her father‘s critics.

This song always gets me. I was ugly crying in the bathroom listening to this one. You know, it hurts us fans so much how people crucified Elvis after his death. There was a lot of money to be made from sensationalising a man's life. Trading years of friendship and loyalty for 30 pieces of silver and 5 minutes of fame. If it hurt us, how much more did it hurt his daughter? Lisa Marie had a hard life - losing her dad at 9, trouble with her mother's boyfriend, her mum leaving her with a cult to 'sort her out' and enduring hours and years of 're-education' to stamp out her rebellious spirit, psuedo-psychiatry which has been likened by ex- scientologists as akin to torture, loving and losing Micheal Jackson in a way that must have triggered and re-lived her pain over her father, husbands and divorces, losing her son. She is an amazing songwriter and singer, and I loved all her albums, and I loved her. As her father's daughter, how could you not. She was authentic, straight up, a bad ass, generous with a huge heart for helping people, she had his spirit and his charm. She kicked David Miscavige's ass with her song You Aint Seen Nothing Yet. I'm so glad she finally broke free from scientology and that in the end, her rebel spirit was never broken by them. Her dad would be so proud of her, he would also be furious with the people in her life who never protected her from all this when she was so young and vulnerable.

The line, "ooh and they tried to make you look broken, not while i'm living" made me tear up after she passed and i listened to this. I was in Memphis at the anniversary concert in 2002 when she presented this to the fans 😢

I dont mind a bit. Thank you so much for your reaction. This song brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it. Lisa Marie standing up and trying to protect her Dads legacy to make sure everyone notices what he went through. I believe Elvis had two true loves in his life, his Mother and Lisa Marie. Did he love other women and the family and friends around him, absolutely. But those two ladies had his heart. You can see the love he had for Lisa in the looks on his face when she is with him. So tragic, all three were gone way to soon. I just hope Elvis and Lisa Marie know what an impact they had on this world. Rest in Peace.

@@barbaramarkland7441 I think he loved Priscilla and respected her. They continued to care for each other through the years. I just believe his Mom and Lisa Marie had every inch of his heart. If Elvis and Priscilla had that type of love for each other. Neither one would have looked at anyone else. That doesn't take away what they did feel for each other.

Lisa Marie had a powerful voice!!! So many people tried to get her to sing in the early 90s then would say that she had a bad voice. There was so much pressure put on her.
I don’t know what the hell they were thinking because she had a phenomenal, powerful, female voice and she could have toured worldwide with her father Elvis.. they would’ve sounded amazing together!!!!!!!

The *History* behind this song Lisa Marie Wrote For HER DAD - In an interview / article - She said She watched the E Hollywood Documentary with RED WEST SONNY WEST ETC .... AND IT HURT HER SO MUCH SAYING THEY WERE TRYING TO TAKE HIS "DIGNITY" AWAY -- SHE CALLED THEM SLIMY MOTHER F**** IN THE ARTICLE ... AND SAID SHE NEVER LIKED THEM AS A KID ... SHE REMEMBERS THE PLAYBOY MAGAZINES THE BOOZE THE WOMEN ETC - SHE CRIED FOR DAYS AFTER SEEING IT.... SO SHE WENT TO THE STUDIO AND THE LYRICS CAME TO HER -- SHE SAID HER DAD'S "DIGNITY" "INTEGRITY" WAS SO IMPORTANT TO HIM... I CANNOT IMAGINE HER RUNNING ACROSS THIS DOCUMENTARY WHICH IS DISGUSTING .... AND HOW IT MADE LISA MARIE FEEL.... RIP ANGEL

She means all of this, two childhood friends and bodyguards wrote a hateful book about him and it came out 3 weeks before he died. She was sure that it affected him a lot. She said nobody knew all his trials, and that he held on to the cart as long as he could. She was a tortured by his death, she was only 9 and saw him dead in the bathroom. Thanks Ray, this moved me.

I know why. I just can't say. I said a word YT does not like. I'll leave it at that.
Anyway, moving on... Ray, your observations are spot on 👌
Yes, Elvis loved his daughter very much & thank you for recognizing her talent as a singer.
Lisa Marie was talented in her own right.
Elvis would actually bring Lisa Marie along with him on tours and would introduce her to the audience and dedicate a song to her he sang live.
Sometimes he'd even bring her on stage with him.
He truly loved his "Yisa" as he affectionately called her.
One year Elvis held a birthday party for Lisa Marie on the plane that was named for her 🎶💖🎂💖🎶

Ive never heard this song it tore my heart out! I lost my Dad in 2014 in his 70s from Cancer his generation was Elvis he and my mom gave us the gift of listening and appreciating their music when we were growing up I've always been an Elvis fan but damn the last few month's since my niece made me watch the Elvis movie I've really been listening to him, reasesrching and taking a deep dive into his life and seeing his heart more than I ever have he was no where near perfect but he was a beautiful imperfect human being with so much hesrt and soul and I've fallen in love with his heart.
Ive seen so many similarities with my dad deep diving into Elvis my dad was tall, shy and handsome with a crap load of hair he had the lamb chops in the 70s and early 80s he played guitar in a local country band my uncke had in the 70s, nothing big but they played alot of local dances he was talented on that guitar I remember him picking away at it, he didn't read music but knew it by ear. My dad was a lovely gentle giant with a heart of gold he had alot of heartbreak and mental issues with depression but he always picked himself up and worked hard to stay stable for his family this song just reminds me of him how I wished I would have told him I loved him more and hugged him more and could have protected him more when he was hurting but through the years I've found peace with my regrets by talking to him and telling him in my heart how much I love him and honoring him and I feel him around me. I feel like Elvis knew exactly how much Lisa Marie loved him and appreciated this song from the other side you can feel the hesrt and soul she poured into the words for him and I'm sure they are in such a beautful place together with her son.
Anyway not to write a book this song just got to me in a good way.❤ Thank You.

R’Elvis, do read the book “ Me and a guy named Elvis” written by his lifelong friend Jerry Shilling who was there at Lisa Marie’s birth and then ,52 years later, read a eulogy for her at her funeral. He waited 30 years after Elvis’s death to write it because he was too sad. It’s a wonderful record of all Elvis achieved and his personality and his loyalty. 👌💕🕺🙏

I noticed watching your great reaction again, that at 10:56 is the picture of Elvis and Lisa Marie Presley that Michael Jackson had on his nightstand when he died. Lisa said the picture was from when she met Michael for the first time- at her dad's show, when MJ went to see Elvis with his brothers, the Jackson 5. Elvis awknowledged the Jackson 5 in the audience, and told his audience to go see their show the next night, and that they were really great. MJ was 17, LMP was 7, and that night, her dad not only met his future son in law, Michael Jackson, but he introduced his daughter to him. How crazy is that??

LMP wrote this specifically after seeing a very salacious episode of "True Hollywood Story" of Elvis on VH1. there were certain members of the "Memphis Mafia" talking about him and she lost it. she said they just leeched off him, did far worse than him, and that they were so wild they scared the shit out of her when she was a little girl. they just watched and enabled his worst, ignored his health problems, and how dare they not let him rest with some dignity. LMP always talked truth straight up and took no BS. there's a video clip of her speaking about it -- i will try to find it. 🙏🏽
