A spectacular series. A travel log of the most beautiful places Europe has to offer. You're reduced to a kid in a candy shop, just aching for more! A banquet, a feast, a Smorgasbord of the the most delicious sights and musical treats anywhere. And the good part is, ...no belly ache! Enjoy!

I honestly knew how much I loved Edvard Grieg until I realized I recognize his profile from the thumbnail. He's been a longtime favorite of mine.

No one does pretentious arrogance quite like Simon Callow.

I disagree with your characterization of SC. He talks that awkward, halting way because he can't help himself.

I think Kenneth Branagh would have been a far better choice. He too, has a connection with the Bard.

It was very common back then; kinda childish to make fun of it. Some of your ancestors probably married cousins too, since it was so common.

Very common and still legal today, still being practiced, either by religion, family interests, culture, love or other personal reasons

Pity Simon is the narrator. A boring voice trying to sound ever so serious and knowledgeable. Just cold reading.
