@@cotizacionesequipo1719 The days of the Russians making credible military threats are long gone. They only exist in the studio's of Russian state tv.
Regarding FPV drones, there's currently an oversupply of them on the Russian side but not enough pilots to use them. Daily strikes are 120+ while daily production is at 3000+
The number of trained FPV pilots per battalion is increasing with each rotation, with the more experienced FPV pilots returning from the front providing feedback and training for the fresh troops. It's a feedback loop that sees Russian FPV tactics improve rapidly over time.
In terms of FPV drone deployment and tactics right now the Russian army is the best in the world, by far.
Being good with a drone> sending 10 times more
@@Chosen_Ash gamers assemble
They should just get all the crazy russian CS:GO kids to fly them from home
@@CraigTheBrute-yf7no uh no. Flying FPV drones is a different ball game. It takes 1-2 weeks of simulator and then about a month of adjustment with the FPV goggles before it "clicks" with the brain. People sensitive to vertigo aren't suited for it either. Unlike DJI drones, they only rely on gyro and aren't auto stabilized so you have to manually control them. Latency has to be below 50ms(preferably 3-6ms) if you wanna hit anything reliably since they travel 80 kph with a warhead.
AFU sure loves getting encircled.

Then they dump all their ammo on civilians and scream ATROCITIES , HELP US!

Thank you for the brilliant analysis of Russian FPV tactics. As you correctly noted, the Russian army has successfully integrated the use of FPV drones with their other systems, namely artillery, EW, armored vehicles and light infantry. The Ukrainian commander you quoted is unable to grasp the real significance of the new Russian tactics, he just believes that the Russians "have more of everything" (which they do, but that's not the point). The main advantage that the Russians have is that they are using FPV drones *together* with their artillery, EW, armored vehicles and light infantry. The proof is in the pudding, Russian advances show that the new tactics are working.
I often wonder what it is like for the AFU conscripts being trained in NATO tactics by NATO troops. Last year there were 1000s of Ukrainians being trained in the UK. What did they think about the instructors, who are safe with their families, pets & video games, while the AFU guys they trained are getting wrecked.

Funny moment is, that in russian segment of media, reporters talk exactly the same, but about AFU. It seems, that both sides suffer to much from FPV

In the past the Russians kept their lines relatively straight for long stretches to avoid being flanked. Now, it looks as if the Russians are not as concerned about getting flanked with their recent moves.
Maybe, the Russians are getting careless. Maybe, the Russians know the AFU is now weakened to a point that they don't have to worry so much about being flanked.
Moreover they have the firepower advantage and reconnaissance drones also
Vovchansk did it's work
The second.
Russia has a lot more men on the line than it did before
Now they have the manpower to have behind front line units attacking on the front line and also improved supply and logistics
Their fast forward attack also makes au troops being encircled in the process
The only reason that came up to my mind for that Robotyne encirclement is that all the soldiers in that fortifications/trenches surrendered, I mean, In my opinion a lot of Ukrainians will surrender in this days because a lot of them are fresh troops, maybe very young inexperienced soldiers, differently from the Azov etc soldiers
Zivela Rusija! Do pobede beaco! Srbija je uz vas!
Impressive work of mapper Clement Molin !
Is it also possible that there is a lot of "brain drain" from loss of more experienced Ukrainian soldiers and fewer elite units so it makes it difficult for Ukraine to match Russian "lessons learned" from previous battles? That may be a key reason for the rapid Russian advances with more experienced units and command staff who have survived previous battles. I'm just curious if that might be a reason.
Certainly one of the many reasons.
Correct, Russia obviously went for a decapitation strike at the out set of the war, and eliminated a lot of experienced Ukrainian troops at that time. Tens of thousands, as this happened the Russians supply lines became untenable, vehicle and troop losses became too heavy and the resistance extremely fierce.
The Russians knew how many vehicles and heavy guns the Ukrainians had and in order to avoid serious civilian casualties, and save their own troops from encirclement, they were forced to abandon the original plan and pull back letting the Ukrainian troops come to them.
This was achieved successfully, and the Russian control of the skies and firepower compared to a reeling Ukrainian army destroyed another huge block of experienced Ukrainian troops alongside the biological weapons facilities and tens of thousands of soviet plant built tanks that Ukraine had and nato wanted to use against Russia.... a year of missile strikes alongside multiple bloody failed counter offensives ....and successful Russian offensives... added another massive amount of Ukrainian troops to the list.
So multiple waves of all kinds of troops over the course of the year. Not only this but the Russian casualties have been significantly lighter so the Russian pool of highly experienced troops is very large at this point. They are also probably cycling them out to become instructors back home on a regular basis.
I'm sure that that's a contributing factor. It has to be.
You can say the same of the russian side the difference is that there is a big lack workforce for the russian federation because so much fucking people have signed up for Ukraine
Let me put it this way...In the British regimental system ( used by commonwealth countries such as my own, New Zealand ) it takes 10 - 15 *years* to qualify as a Sergeant in the infantry.
A Sergeant in an Infantry Platoon is the one man that *everyone* ( Officer, NCO, other ranks ) relies on for his knowledge / experience.
In the current ukrop army, it takes about 6 months to be promoted to the rank of Sergeant....based purely on surviving.
Elite units exist, only in name.

YT will probably delete this, but I'm an old history nerd and I've always found the Russian Army resourcefulness to be a key part of why it is so hard to beat them on their turf. At Avdiivka, they used 60-year old RBK anti-submarine launchers taken off warships (where they were hardly needed) and welded to T-72 or MT-LB hulls. Instant mobile rocket launcher that could devastate an area. Then a few months ago, the 70-year old M-46 130mm howitzer (with fresh shells from NK). Now, near Kupiansk I saw an old MT-LB with an MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun welded to it; instant tank destroyer/SPG. It just makes me smile the crazy mash-ups they come up with that are old and ugly but absolutely devastating to AFU..."

@@leonardoorellano6652 Not yet. Also, a maritime operation in absence of any land bridges across the Dnieper available to the Russian is probably the main obstacle for the Russians at the moment. I. e. it's a matter of logistics more than of the Ukrainians being "soft enough".

A slow steady advance by Russian forces, seems like Ukraine can only slow them but not stop them
The Ukrainians are getting increasingly worse at slowing the Russians down.
I guess that in the near future there will be significant improvmentbin the protections of the infantry. Something like the helmet of star wars going down to protect the shoulder and connected to the kevlar jacket. And kevlar coverage for the legs. This would make small FPV drones much less effective.....
Some drones carry mortar explosives. No personal armor can protect against those.
And still the drone will be cheaper than that supposed Star Wars armor.
This is the eternal battle between the armor and the piercing weapons. Piercing always wins, even if it takes time.
From the Earth to the Moon, Jules Verne, 19th century.
@@stana1278 A soldier is a much smaller target than an armoured vehicles . Additionally is much more mobile and can perfectly see the drone. So in case of drones dropping granades they are slower and usually fly relatively high si if they drop a Grenada it can be seen and the soldier can lie down to avoid the shrapnels
In short this is not black and white but an improved personal armour could significantly improve the survival rate. Consider also that currently the russian assault troops advance keeping some meters between each of them....

It always takes the Russians years to adjust to the reality on the ground but they do get there 😊

The British police force disagrees, as far as I observe.
Russians have some components, like heavy gliding bombs, artillery shells and fire control drones in much larger quantity then Ukrainian and have whole system much better ontegrated. As a result, they have superior firepower, both on versatility and quantity. And they can afford loss of some armored vehicles much better then Ukrainians. But there is a question: Why were UK, France and Germany much more capable of overcoming "Shell hunger" in WWI, then they are able to do so now. That is, if NATO is trully fully committed to Ukrainian cause as they claim.
Let me give you simple answer, industrial base for shells is moved to India and China, so west countries can not produce enough steel or shells for their own armies, eco-green agenda is also very heavy on the production of same so…
So west actually disarmed him self believing that all wars are going to look like fighting the goat keepers.
West in such bad position, that even for production of antibiotics it depends on BRIKS countries, and Russia is part of same, you have to wonder wtf are politicians in west doing, cause war in UKR is just money laundering and reselling the outdated military equipment, without any plan how to produce new one in same amount, in short term, in long term, it will be replaced in decade or two.
You just have to wonder, same as about massive spending on accommodation of illegal emigrants?

I don't think much more than a reinforced company could possibly have been surrounded given the limited frontage and the low concentration of forces that has been the norm during this war. There's still the possibility of a breakout though, and even if the worst happens, losing one company won't cost Ukraine the war, and likely won't cause more than a localized breakthrough because the Russians lack reserves for exploitation in this section of the front.
