Hi Brian, I'm suspecting the older Ingersoll locks with the brass side bar would in fact be easier to feel the the gate and hear it tapping against brass, than the "softer" nylon/delrin sidebar ...
Brian ... Ignore my post above, I just saw your other video, and you answered my question. I picked an Ingersoll padlock in the '60's using heavy music wire and a hook. Took two days on and off, and it was master keyed! Often thought it would be near impossible if Ingersoll used shallow false gates on the levers.
