25:10 I was trying to pick out the moment when stroheim got on the plane, I guess it happened right before Jojo started shooting, when he flew over Speedwagon and others, after that we don’t see Stroheim on the ground (at least it seems so) lol
I would like to point out with Speedwagon being a british person from the era of the usage of this phrase at 39:59, "He remained single." or "He never married" was a secret form of coding on an obituary that the deceased was a homosexual. I'm not one to speculate but I think it's funny that the translation is so close and the fact that he lived into the second half of the 20th century where that phrase was most used. Also it's implied in multiple different bios given of Speedwagon that he fell in love with Jonathan, often using strictly romantic characters to describe his opinion on him. With all that being said, I can't say it doesn't make sense, I mean he drops everything he does and supports the Joestar family in any way imaginable, whether that's telling of his love for Jonathan or not, that is some form of love and dedication
Also in the original translations when Kars said he ‘didn’t want to fight a woman’ when offering Lisa Lisa the poison, he says “fighting a woman really turn me on, Much less wamuu.” Which implies that not only do they not feel that way towards women but also fighting is a sexual thing 😭😭
Part two down! Hyped for part three, I hope you can stick with it for a while, it’s kinda long 😅 I don’t see many jojo reactors stick all the way through part 3 and actually start part 4
Such a great ending, loved the Kars backstory who actually started all of this by creating the stone masks, and loved also Lisa Lisa's backstory so much, she's actually my fav character in pt2 for it. She knows that Joseph is her son but she doesn't want to tell him cause he has to be focused on fighting and don't have to care for her. In a way, Kars' fate came full circle, as he is first seen encased in stone, and last seen turned into a rock in space (and still he isn't dead lol). Btw, that's what I meant by "Earth, Wind and Fire", Eisidisi had the fire power, Wamuu the wind and Kars has technically the DNA of every living being on Earth, meaning he was able to conquer it no longer being weak to the sun. Fun facts: George Joestar II (Joseph's father) is the only member of the Joestar family that doesn't even say a word lol; the song that Joseph listen to at the end is actually "Get Back" (seen in the manga), by Beatles, which it's the song Araki chose the name "Jojo" from, it's in the lyrics. Also there's a non canon (not written by Araki) light novel spin-off on pt2, called "George Joestar" which has Joseph's father as protagonist, his relationship with Lisa Lisa and not only. Btw, rip to Erina, Stroheim and Speedwagon, the goats. Hype for your reaction to pt3, stands are coming!
Jojo does a really good job wrapping up these parts. This one especially with all the backstories like you were saying. All that stone usage by Kars, turned him into a damn stone lol. Jojo is so iconic, I feel like any other name wouldn't hit as hard. I def. need to peep the LN, wanna hear more about those two. RIP to the OGs!
Yeah, I always laugh at that scene, he probably thinking all this time the person who torturing him turns out to be his mother and that scene when Lisa Lisa taking a bath😂😂
