Next one you should aim to snag is a VZ-24. A cool Czech rifle that the Romanians employed and bought via contract. There neat additions but there essentially the older brother or cousin of the Kar98.
Great job. I learn something each time one of your videos come out. I would love to see a video centered around the Nambu Type 14 handgun that the Japanese used in WWII.
Hey man, just wanted to let you know I absolutely love your channel and this is one of the best videos you’ve put out. Thanks for the continuous uploads. Glad to see your collection growing. You’ll have to let us know what kind of groupings you’re getting out of your k98. I have a couple and my early war one is my go to hunting rifle, right next to the 1917.
I'll definitely be doing a video specifically on the K98k at some point. I'd love to take mine out hunting this year. Thanks so much for watching. Feels good to know someone is enjoying the content!
I think this is my favorite video you have produced so far. i might do someting similar, I absolutely bave the collection to do so haha Issue is the ammo for someof these rifles.
Dude, the Carcano M38 short rifle you have is awesome! I was scratching my head because I hadn’t seen one of those early versions before and then you explained why it looks different. How did you acquire that one?
Ive been building my WW2 collection lately. Started with WW1 then 1800s now WW2 sadly prices r pretty high nowadays. Was able to get a few decent rifles from RTI that were otherwise really rare tho.
Nice choices, RR !! Great info , on calibers, changes, in all rifles. Nice history , on the Mosin- nagant. I had forgot , about the Manlichers, of that style. Great review and history, on all. Peace, John. P.S., the arisaka, 7.7, did have A take down version, impossible to find. For , paratroopers, believe it or not. You can find, just A very few examples, here on UA-cam. P.P.S., be aware of the, Booby trap rifles. Training rifles, long story. If you already know, cool,. If not, I will explain how to spot?
Yeah those paratrooper type 99s are way out of my price range. There was also a Type 44 Carbine with folding bayonet that I don't have in my collection. They aren't cheap either 😅. You definitely have to watch out for the training Rifles. They can be tricky to spot sometimes especially when shopping online. Hope you and your family are doing better brother. Have a great weekend.
I have an M1 Garand, a K98 K and a Finnish m38 as well as several Carcanos and Russian Mosins but my Arisaka type 99 is by far my favorite WW2 rifle. I love to shoot it. I wish ammo was more readily available.
I had to dig out my M38 carcanos to check handguard length, mine has the short one but its in great shape & was $50 i found a folding bayo for it. My other M38 is a sporter with a nice bishop stock for $35. T38 Arisakas are indeed very verv strong. After blowing one up on perpose, it took 10 trys w/ plugged bbl. The 9th try had class a explosive in the shell & it still didnt blow, the bullets copper jacket looked very melted though, 10th try had blank pdr & bullet, that sure did it. the gun had no rifling left & bent rcvr, i stripped all un needed parts first
Hey, any luck getting French weapons? I'm looking for a mas 36, And A 49/56, have you tried any from RTI? I'm sketchy about them from horror stories but may have to pull the trigger...
@@ReadinessReviews I ordered some enblocs for my carcanos, hope they come in fine. They seem to be doing a little better as far as that stuff this year
You missing a type 99 paratrooper which folds in half cal 7.7 very rare I have seen a few around I bought one many year ago for around $150 now there selling for around 1500
@@ReadinessReviews hey I found a full matching k98k with perfect original sling and walnut stock. I paid $2,600 for it. I live in California and trying to find your dream rifle is hard. So being able to see it in person was the best way. So I paid up
Any variation of a 98 action mauser is out of my reach now, so i had to piece together a gew 88 of parts from ebay and century. Dont laugh, you may be divorced someday too!
This is a great vid, bro. The only semi-Axis that I have is a Mosin, but I suppose that they weren't Axis for long after 41. You have an insane collection of firearms, im jealous.
I've spent a lot of time and money putting together my collection. The sad part is all of the stuff I need now is super expensive so I don't know how much further I can go. Thanks for checking it out buddy. This was a fun video to throw together.
There were definitely some ones I left out. The video was already long enough lol. The only one I really wish I could have added in was a Romanian Vz.24 though.

Agreed. I wish I could have had one for the video. I do have a Vz.24 but it is not a Romanian contract one.
@@ReadinessReviews Hey Correction on my post earlier. Thats cool on the VZ-24. Was it used by the Germans.
Great job. I learn something each time one of your videos come out.

If I ever get my hands on a Type 14 there will definitely be a video. I certainly want one in my collection. Thanks for watching!!

Thanks man! I had fun putting this one together. I think it may be my favorite video I've done as well. Ammo is always a struggle 😆
Great videos love the content
Thanks! I really enjoyed making this one.
Great video ..I learned something
Awesome! It was worth making then.
Keep up the good work man!
Thanks brother!
great video thanks
Thanks for checking it out!!
Hi readiness, great video thanks for sharing.

Dude, the Carcano M38 short rifle you have is awesome! I was scratching my head because I hadn’t seen one of those early versions before and then you explained why it looks different. How did you acquire that one?
It was from RTI lol. It's in really rough shape but a very interesting example all the same.
@@ReadinessReviews ah ok, how’s the bore on it? It’s still an amazing piece of history even if the bore condition isn’t great.
@@BattlefieldCurator unfortunately the bore is trash but I did buy a new barrel for it though.
@@ReadinessReviews alright, hopefully it turns out to be a great shooter
Love these faction breakdowns
I love this stuff too. It was a cool exercise to try to make a video like this.
Great collection! Glad you like the Japanese rifles :)
They are some of the best! Thanks for watching.
Ive been building my WW2 collection lately. Started with WW1 then 1800s now WW2 sadly prices r pretty high nowadays. Was able to get a few decent rifles from RTI that were otherwise really rare tho.
A WW2 collection was a lot easier to put together even 3 years ago

My local gun store sells a lot of WW1/2 rifles. The average price was $500 but I know they are so much more worth than that
Wish I had a LGS with cool stuff
I love the cloud of rust coming from the 7.35 cav carbine 😆...you ever get that thing shooting well?
The bore is much nicer now that I've put some rounds through it and cleaned several times. It probably still blows out some rust though lol.
I love my 7.7×58
I at First A Year ago watching your Show Thought a Adult Living in his Parents Basement With a lot of Useful a information!
No, unfortunately I have to pay my own way.

RTI is always a risk. I know someone who got a MAS 49/56 from them that I would have been very happy with but it could have easily gone the other way.
@@ReadinessReviews I ordered some enblocs for my carcanos, hope they come in fine. They seem to be doing a little better as far as that stuff this year
is there any reason not to glue the two dovetailed sections of the arisaka together? whenever I fix my stock I thought of doing that lol.
It wouldn't hurt anything I wouldn't think. I'd for some reason you needed to take it apart again I the future it could cause a problem though lol.

Yeah, no way I can afford one these days lol
Can you even find ammo for the Japanese rifles anymore? I should of added one to my collection years ago.
It can be found but not on the cheap.
Can you explain counter boring and how it improves accuracy?
how much was the k98? i’m looking at picking one up in similar condition. great rifle!
850 😬 I saw a decent one at a gun show 2 weeks ago for 750

@@HircineDaWolf yes with the coin on the stock, they seem really good with the boring mint
I may pick one up if they ever have a nice sale on them. It's a pretty rare rifle.
Those Hungarian K98 like rifles Misha did a video on are interesting, forget the name
its like a mannlicher style made up to look like a k98
Ah yes. I think Forgotten Weapons did a video on one year's ago too.
What about the Turks, Romanians, Polish, Yugos and Czecks. All Mausers but fine ones.
Agree however it looks like this video is geared towards the Axis powers. As an aside, I prefer my Polish Mausers to the K98k!

99 Sniper Rifle.

What did you end up paying for the k98k?
