  • Adventure awaits, but before you hit the trails, knowing how to maintain your Royal Enfield Himalayan is key. Today, we're diving into a crucial skill every rider should have: front wheel removal. Whether you're prepping for a tire change, brake inspection, or just routine maintenance, follow this guide to keep your journey smooth and safe.
    Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure your motorcycle is on a stable surface and have your tools ready. You'll need:
    A motorcycle stand or lift
    A socket wrench set
    A torque wrench
A new wheel if you're planning a replacement
    Step 2: Lift the Bike
Carefully lift your Himalayan using the motorcycle stand or lift, ensuring it's securely in place before proceeding.
Step 3: Loosen the Axle Nut
Using your socket wrench, loosen (but do not remove) the axle nut on the left side of the bike.
Step 4: Remove the Brake Caliper
Detach the brake caliper from the fork leg to prevent strain on the brake hose. Hang it securely without stretching the hose.
    Step 5: Remove the Axle
Once the axle nut is loose, gently slide out the axle while supporting the wheel to prevent it from dropping.
    Step 6: Wheel Removal
With the axle out, lower the wheel carefully to avoid damaging the disc brake.
And there you have it! Your front wheel is successfully removed. Remember to check your owner's manual for any model-specific instructions or torque settings when reassembling.
