Block island reminds me so much of my beloved Nantucket. No traffic lights, no big box stores, old 17th century cottages and all the flowers. I know exactly what you mean about September as that is the month we usually (not this year 😢) go on island- 80 and beach one day and 60 and grey the next.
I love seeing block island. And I just finished a cardigan in the same blue linen quill. I thought I would wear it a lot on New Hampshire summer evenings- but not once have I worn it. But I am definitely making the everyday wrap. Perfect for traveling! Thanks for a lovely episode
Hi Deb, yes, I’m sure we’ll get a chance to wear our linen quill. You’ll get a chance to wear the Everyday Wrap more often. It’s so light weight and easy to through on and take off as needed. Enjoy and happy knitting 🧶 ❤️
I so enjoy your vlogs and this one was another lovely peek into Block Island. Could you let me know what the colour of your Linen Quill is? Big hugs from Calgary.
Hi Ruth and thanks for watching. If you go into Ravelry and look up The Everyday Wrap by Julie Weisenberger you wil find the free pattern. Have fun and happy knitting 🧶 ❤
I know why you still have that printed pattern: you have learned not to throw them out because you may need it someday! I have learned that the hard way. Haha I love the dress your mom is wearing in that picture. Thank you for your podcast
Your newest fo in linen quill is so attractive on you. I have some linen quill in that color and now I know what to do with it. Would you tell me what color of yarn you used for that beautiful, light, airy shall you knit? Such a perfect color for the summer. Thank you for sharing the stunning beauty of Block Island in each of your episodes.
@@butterflysoar1 Hi there, I’ve made this pattern several times with one and with two strands. The one in this episode I used one strand of Southampton. If you use la Bien Aimee you may want to use two strands. I think it’s really a personal preference. Maybe make a small swatch both ways and see what you like best. Have fun!
@@theislandlamb I also meant to say how adorable you and your mom looked in the picture from the garden party! What a blessing to have her so close and as far as the picture of her shows, she looks fantastic
The Domenico Fragments in your book was a wonderful audible book narrated by the famous actor John Lithgow. He brought this story to life! Your husband and yourself would love it !!! Maybe listen on a car ride or a evening with a glass of wine. Enjoy 😊
The tour around Block Island was a fun intro into another great knitting video. BL seems like a wonderful place to live a peaceful life. Even though I am a horse owner, I still get giddy as a school girl every time I see other horses. Until next video, enjoy the summer. 🌸🌼🌺
What a beautiful island tour we have had. Thank you so much. It’s wonderful to see the area you live and hear some of the history etc. it was also super seeing you and hearing your updates. Always a joy to see you have posted. ❤
Looking forward to the Icelandic sweater video!
Love KnitCompanion! Can’t imagine knitting without it.

KC has their own tutorials, but Very pink knits does great tutorials on UA-cam, and many other things.
Loved watching this, BI is a wonder in so many ways......and the shawl could be my next endeavor! Love you tons!!
Ah, thank you. Yes, that would be a great project for you.
What happened to La Bien Amie that you bought from The Mermaids Purl in dark blue?. I know you said you were going to make the everyday wrap in it.
Hi, yes indeed, you are correct. I’m probably going to gift that one and keep the aqua on for myself.
Another enjoyable episode. Curious to know what that white plushy blanket (shawl?) is draped over the back of your chair.
Hi there, thank you. That’s a little throw I picked up at Marshall’s many years ago. I love it.
I so enjoy your vlogs and this one was another lovely peek into Block Island. Could you let me know what the colour of your Linen Quill is? Big hugs from Calgary.

Good morning Jill and thank you
Such a treat seeing that gem of an island and you in that gorgeous top! That bracelet looks amazing on you as well!
Thank you! Yes, love the bracelet.
