I added swivel jacks to the back of my trailer for more stability when loading my tractor. Nice job on positioning. I’d likely have tacked both sides to avoid keeping the clamp.
Great job adding the jack. I haven't use a flap very often myself. Grinding wheels...no preference here...whatever they have where I'm at when I remember that I need some. Grew up close to the farm, farming in my teens & 20's but had to do something else to make a living. Now retirement is here & DIY just keeps me busy. Grew up using a spinner and "air wrenches" so torque to specs wasn't even in my vocabulary! Good 'n tight is was!
Nice job! Many fail to realize the importance of the prep work, cleaner the better. The last batch of flap discs I got are "Walther" or "Walter" something like that. They are orange, and have the thread cut in them so you dont have to use the "nut" from the grinder to hold them on. They seem ok so far. I havent found any that make me say "wow" that I recall. I also carry a pair of mig pliers in my back pocket, to cut the wire when need be for cleaner starts. Think they were like $20 off Amazon, "Stronghand" brand. They have been good so far. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent replacement. One thing you forgot to remind people is to put the trailer tongue on jack stands before cutting the jack off. Unfortunately I'm only half joking. Thanks for the video.
Enjoy your channel have been mechanical most of my life, but have got some great idea's from you where in tx are you I'm in perryton top of the panhandle
I'm amazed at how many people work around in shops with even tennis shoes, man they just hold the slag to your foot before they start burning and melting onto your flesh. Eye protection and good stable work boots before even thinking about welding, cutting, grinding.
you are a boss and the best on youtube. thanks for sharing
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
I was expecting to see a roll of dimes. I know you're a ace at welding. Great video
Thanks 👍

Don’t normally have a swampy heat condition here in Alaska, but I know what you mean, lived in Mineral Wells when I was a kid.
VIDEO IDEA: "Drive Over Fenders for a 18' flatbed trailer" - Please!
you could tape the zircs
what type of welder did you use for this and what material. that would be helpful
Fastenal sells their house brand flap disc. I don't remember who makes it, but I've had good success. I think Blackstone is their house brand.

Hi! We are just north of Fort Worth, in Decatur.
👍💪🏅
Boots? You mean you can't use a cutting torch or plasma cutter while wearing flip flops?
Flip flops probably aren’t the best idea to wear for something like this. 🤣🤣 It’s crazy talk, I know.
