So so so many lost classes of steam locomotives that I would’ve killed to see in person. Magnificent time capsule

Have to say these docs are priceless ... fantastic to see even in black and white ...well narrated also ... i was around in the last days
of steam early 60,s ....as a kid i was an avid train spotter ...my father worked on the station platform ... so free no ticket required for me lol .

Brilliant. I could smell the steam and smoke. I have seen quite a few of these wonderful engines.
Then you mentioned `Silver Link` towards the end, a star of the film `O Mr Porter` with Will Hay
    Moore Mariot and Graham Moffatt.
Based on the novel `The Ghost Train` writen by Arnold Ridley, Godfrey in `Dads Army`
As a youngster in the fifties and sixties my grandfather took me to Snow Hill and New Street stations
    in Birmingham.

Engines were taken to bits not slashed to shreds like in the 60s.

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job enab!ing viewers to better understand what the orator is describing. Remember the " Singing Break man " 🎸🎶 Jimmie Rogers-???. Whom was a genuine breakman till switching to a singing entertainer ( 1926 thru 1933 ) most memorable song " Break Man's Blues "😭.Had the good fortune to experience 2 steam locomotive scenic tours. Smoky Mountains N.C. & Durango/Silverton Co. Relaxing time well spent-!!!😉. Steam locomotive's bring to mind. Outlaw Butch Cassidy & associates. ( 1896 thru 1901 ) never robbing passengers or R.R. employees. Focusing on the express car-!!! 💰💰💰😉. Viewing this presentation from the safety/comfort of my computer room. Along the " Space Coast 🚀 of Florida🐊🐊. Wishing viewers & R.R. employees a safe/healthy/prosperous ( 2024 )🌈🎉😉.

Back when times were so hard toenail clippings masqueraded as cornflakes. Ice Cream was made out of mashed potatoes and bananas were as rare as a wallaby in Birmingham.

No-one from Shrewsbury pronounces it "shrowsbury" by the way. FYI

Hi, I make bengali audio drama videos. Recently I have been making an audio-drama that is set in the 1900s' Indian rural areas and I need some video footage to portray that as authentically as possible. This video clip seems to be perfect for that reason. If you could give me permission to use part of your clip for my project, I would be highly grateful. I will of course give your channel the proper credit in my video. Please let me know your decision as soon as possible. Thank You 🙏
