Charge it while making coffee will get you through a working day. Why are people so salty about something that impacts you once every few months for 5 minutes 👀
Because some people like to use devices that are corded. Like the magic keyboard, the port is in the back so you can use it as cordless OR corded. Ya know OPTIONS.
@@robodd4694 no one’s buying Magic Mouse if they wabt an optional wired mode. Only benefit of a wired is gaming and no one used Magic Mouse for that. Your point is wrong
the only con of this mouse besides the charging port, is that the polling rate is slow, it should be more responsive. Because it has the best scrolling out there
1:10 the reason why it’s like that it’s because the team under this Magic Mouse said”if this magic mouse charges when you are using it it’s not wireless so let’s put it here and if they manage to charge when using it doesn’t work”
Exactly the reason why it needs to be where every single other mouse has its port. In the front of the mouse. That way if you want to use it wired you can. They did not stick the keyboards charging port on the bottom... I want a wired mouse. Zero issues period.
The magic mouse falls into a category of products where the aesthetics were taken more into account than actual usability of the product. Even with it's current hardware design (maybe minus the incredibly old sensor and terrible quality omron switch it uses) it could've had software features that set it apart from other mice, but unfortunately they didn't really do anything that innovative with this mouse and overall it falls victim to the fact that they didn't think the fundamental idea out fully before developing and releasing it. It's portability and ease of use on laptops is almost completely voided by Apple's excellent implementation of trackpads into macbooks, to the point where they created a trackpad for their desktop computers.
i found it offered no support for my palm and i would get severe hand pain by the end of the day, plus my fingers running over the plastic for scrolling just feels awful.
I'm not exactly sure on the hours since apple dosen't really say. But for normal use, they quote a month if you're using it normally. But for me since I only use it occasionally, I still haven't had to charge it yet!
So if you wanted to use this without bluetooth but corded you can't? It amazes me the Apple is so incredible when designing most things but some things they are completely inept. The magic keyboard has this port on the back so you can use both corded and bluetooth. Love their keyboard and was thinking of getting this mouse but now. Forget it.
My intention for the mouse is to use it for its productivity features, and when I have my Mac docked. But since there are some supported games on the Mac, I’d still like to use it over the built in trackpad!
It is also inept at all the programs I use for work. Sketchup, Autocad and Unreal engine. It is just not useable. Also, 15 minutes is about as long as I can use it before getting cramps in my hand. Horrible shape...beautiful to look at when it first came out. Now it is just ugly knowing how poorly it works. As for gaming it is just hilarious trying to do anything... If Mac gaming is to get any better we need a mouse that can at least do what any $10 mouse can do. I just end up with my G502 Logitech mouse. Thankful with Mac Studio I am not forced to get a free Magic paperweight.
The fact they put the charging port at the bottom of the the new (2024) apple mouse anyway is a big FU to their customers & shows they don't care but with the current leadership the mouse probably "identifies" as a fucking actual cat
@@OzanG31 Is it though? I have more control with my notched mouse wheel. I end up going waaaayyy to far with the scroll with a Magic Mouse. It's just not for me. I hate even turning off the notch feedback on my mouse. With it off it really mimics the Magic Mouse....Except I can click my mouse wheel! There is soooooo much functionality with the middle click.
@@Betazeno yeah you are right on the precision, but once you get used to it for scrolling on websites it's pretty accurate, and using third party apps you can create custom gestures, just like side buttons and scroll wheel, but you aren't fully wrong
@@OzanG31 Yea I understand for websites but then if I try to work with no middle mouse button in Autocad or Sketchup it just becomes impossible to use. I love panning with middle mouse click. Also, a dedicated right and left mouse button. I also develop in Unreal engine and these buttons sometimes need to be used simultaneously. I really hope some day they make just a Mouse Pro or just Mouse. They can keep the Magic one for people who love it but just make a normal mouse shaped like a G502 Logitech mouse but with Apple materials and a glowing Apple logo. I really do love Apple products but I touch a Logitech device all day long where I should be touching an Apple one.
I would rather buy the cheapes mouse from Amazon then this expesive piece of junk. Its full on ''ANTI ergonomic'' the charging port location is not good at all and to top it off its slow as hell. Basicly its just expensive E-waste. Like how did Apple even come up with? it boggles my mind.

Is the 2015 one ?
If you have to charge the Apple Magic Mouse once a month when your sleeping what is wrong with the lightning port being on the bottom?
Have you ever forgotten to do a backup of something? Put something on the backburner and then forgot about it?

Totally man, yeah I mentioned that in the video about how on a high hz screen, the slow polling rate makes it feel not the greatest.

polling rate hz and DPI are terrible in this mouse. it would fit people who never tried normal mouse with good precision
Definitely agree with you man. It definatley isn’t the most accurate and doesn’t feel the smoothest on high refresh rate screens.
The new Magic Mouse This is like the new AirPod Max. All they did was change the charging port from lightning to USB-C so Innovative Apple.😂😂

thanks for the video
it's an almost great mouse but it's cons make it horrible. charging and frequently stops functioning for a few seconds at a time.
It's not a big deal at all should be mad at the same phone keep coming out
pretty cool. Great vid

Apple came out with a 90hz mouse as if we’re living in the 90’s. It’s choppier than a helicopter.
Yea it definitely can look choppy on a high hz screen.
