    I learned more Chinese in this lesson just from the introduction. It is so long with a lot of new vocabulary. I had to listen a few times to acclimate my ears to the speed

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  5 років тому +4

      Thanks for your comment. It's normal speed in the introduction. That's great to listen it several times, your Chinese will become better and better in this way.

    Fei chang xie xie. Now, thanks to everyday Chinese videos (have excellent content), I understand better the language and I use better the pīnyīn. 😀💖 Update: in the past I tried to say Xishi's story related tongue twister, I'm going to try again. I tried again without pīnyīn. 😁
    Now I'm going to search the phrase.

    • @gcampos3271
      @gcampos3271 4 роки тому

      In this website is a variety of tongue twisters, including a short version of Xishi's tongue twister. I could pronunce the Bird Island. 😁
      The version of the website says:."Xishi died at 44."
      The other version says: "at 44 Xishi died. Xishi died at 44."

    Can 洗脸 ("wash one's face") be used more broadly, to have the meaning of "wash up", in other words, including chest, back, arms, etc. ?

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  5 років тому +4

      “洗洗” is used more broadly, such as wash face, wash hands, wash arms, wash back, etc. If you just mean washing a specifc body part, you should use "洗"+body part.

    Kan Shu means look book . I don't think it means read book. For read book means du Shu. Plz correct me if I am wrong.

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  4 роки тому

      We usually say "kan shu" (with your eyes) in spoken Chinese. "Du shu" is also right, just a bit formal. And "du shu" can also mean you read the book with your mouth.

      你提的问题很好。“跑步半个小时”可以说成“跑半个小时步”。“跑步”是一个离合词,使用时合在一起分开都是可以的。
