- Pakistan’s veteran bureaucrat, Roedad Khan, passed away at the age of 101. In his exclusive interview with TCM, originally conducted in 2018, he shared his first-hand experiences from meeting Jinnah to his tale of becoming the country’s most veteran civil servant who witnessed history.

He,like many others, served the dictators very well,those who laid the foundations for breaking Jinnahs Pakistan and subverting democracy, leading to our present sorry condition.
Roedad Khan was a seasoned bureaucrat and remained a darling of the bureaucratic hierarchy in Pakistan under the patronage of Ghulam Ishaq Khan who remained the golden boy of military dictators. He never supported the ideology of Pakistan and was a supporter of Ghafar Khan and Wali Khan gang. These are the very people who poisoned the very foundations of Pakistan and after retirement they become angels!
within hours of Operation Searchlight being launched by the Pakistan army, even as the soldiers went on with their killing mission in Dhaka, Roedad Khan went to the cantonment, where Tikka Khan and all the other generals were having a hearty breakfast, and cheerfully announced, 'Yar, imaan taaza ho gya (friends, faith has been revived)'. The comment was an indication of his happiness at the action the Pakistan army had taken against the Bengalis.
