Stone Gossard. I LOVE MLB and their music. It's still like a sucker punch in the soul to think what could have been. Stone is still sublime and Keef Richards cool. ✌️
I had a cd import growing up in the 1990's named Rhapsody in Chartreuse that had this great song and a lot of other studio sessions some great material should be released on a MLB boxed set i agree this band was more talented than any crap passed off as music today Andy is still a huge muscial influence for me!

The tune and beat are fairly close to "Crown of Thorns" which had already been on the Shine EP and was recorded again for the album, also the keys are almost the same for both songs. I figure they wouldn't have wanted to include two songs that seemed this close on the same album. The same reason why Neil Young's "Berlin" was left unreleased and only exists in a (very good) version played in its namesake city, West Berlin in late 1982 (excellent filmed gig, they did it as an encore and never played it again): the similarities with the long moody ballad "Like an Inca" at the end of the Trans album would have looked too striking if it had come out soon after.

I would had love to see our music would be if these Seattle bands would had lived . I love this group. Freaking awesome

Yes but there have been better rock bands than MLB - quite a few - in my opinion
Talented af .RIP Andy, we miss you 💝

Me to. Another great one from Andrew and the boys.
It's hard sometimes but at least we got what we did from Landrew. Gotta be thankful.

What a talented team of band members playing with feeling & emotion. Love these guys so much...✌❤🎼
Special magical unique spirit❤
One of my favourites absolutely raw emotions. Thanx for posting the video. I love lovechild so much 💖 ❤️💘💘💯
Thinking the cult sounded eerily similar in some verses.. Andrew Wood, you would have been and are a legend..

Yes, he was a star ... and a stargazer, too.
Adam Jones was a big MLB fan. Can't help but wonder if he got some inspiration for Sober from this.
Very strong similarities to Tool.

I think there is a brewing of a little Led Zepplin aura combined with the essence of Seattle and that Northwest Enchantment.

Isnt this also called Showdown?
Yes apparently so.
It is titled showdown in the 2016 reissue of that rare cd box set so I'd assume waiting for you is the demo title?
