"Welcome To Machine" starts playing with an unreal sound system. I was in pure bliss. The Vancouver 80's Skunk Weed didn't hurt either. ;-) Miss those days.
The AI video hits the subconscious experiences the song has given me, from over fifty years ago and in today's presence. The neo-futuristic, and now retrospective, theme that has followed me as a listener from youth and five decades on. Epic!

Masterful visuals? There's nothing left for the imagination :-) It's drama through and through, no feeling or call for renewal. Being dramatic is probably the easiest way to be pseudo-artistic. I'm sorry, but the film didn't tell me anything that wasn't in the music, and only a superficial sketch is drawn of it. Neither the complexity of the image nor its technical precision can create an artistic dimension for the human soul. The music is real art, whereas these pictures are a poor ploy for likability. For me, it is a terrible discovery that people don't mind attaching something so bland, primitive to such perfect music.

Honestly, this encapsulates so much of the atmosphere of this song alone. What fantastic imagery. I am always put off when people say AI can't build impressive or captivating works. I disagree entirely. Who else had moments of inspiration watching this?
there are literal machines featured, which misses the point of the song. there are some examples of human-machine hybrids which could bounce off the theme without purchase. really needed to be more like people turning into machines, but even that would be a light cut. if i was making the tool video the scenery in this song seems to want to be, i'd go for humans turning machineLIKE (maybe employing the classic stop-motion technique seen in the early vids), and elite people literally building poor people from spare bodyparts. maybe humanity as a planet-wide machine, invaded with virus after virus spreading around and changing the shapes of the connections between people and the pathways of cultural conscience. shit like that. this is brooding imagery, similar to tool vids and a few of my favorite creepy vids (yeasayer's "i am chemistry" coming to mind), but it doesn't feel coherant to the song at all. impressive taken together, but could have been much more powerful.

I'm not sure how AI can produce imagery so compelling. To be lost in a cesspool of an industrial wasteland, and slowly be devoured , stripped of yourself to be in the end just a tool of the machine.

AI is now able to bring to life our creativity in a format that entertains us. I admit I love this recreation of this classic Pink Floyd track, but has it yet achieved what we thought we were building it for, surely we wanted it to help bring humanity closer together. Though I am concerned that it may be used to further isolate us, dictators will use it to identify and eliminate what they determine as 'threats'. Love to see some more PF songs get the AI treatment - if the AI actually understood the lyrics that is.
Interestingly enough "Rush" 2112 is about destroying the singular controlling entity of a civilization and Welcome to the Machine could be said, is a song that helps describe the singular controlling civilization heads, further! Love both those songs!

There is a reason why I do these AI videos. I do music licensing somewhat normally. 2023 all the little music jobs started to disappear, maybe AI or maybe my music is not good enough anymore? I never had a real possibility to make real videos(and my ex took the nice Sony camera). Now I can do videos. Reason why I been doing Pink Floyd Videos, TDSOTM50. I took a loan from my current girlfriends mother and invested 2000 hours on 3 Pink Floyd Videos last year. I’m very slow and maybe very stupid to invest my time on this. Time is still pretty hot commodity among humans. Sometimes I wonder if I would’ve spent last year making music, would my situation be better than worst? Would I feel accomplished or satisfied? Pink Floyd owns all the rights for these videos and I had to sign a paper last year and give away a usage rights for those 3 videos that I made. It’s a same thing for all thousand animations that were done for free with exclusive rights for the band. I believe we can’t even show them in public without licensing syncs and all other fun stuff. “Welcome to the machine” song is about music business, not dystopian purgatory like the video I maid. My videos is more about Moloch trap(I don’t believe in it) and what I imagine it would look like. I wanted to experiment with new style that I haven’t tried. Aren’t these the millionaires singing about dismal music business in this song and selling brand new 300$ box set of an album that came out 50 years ago? Maybe I do another Pink Floyd video, I don’t know? If videos cause such negative reaction, I don’t want to be part of it. But I see grammatical instances where "terrible" is used as a verb substitute for "extremely", which I feel is in error. It's odd to say "I need a larger table as I'm terribly rich". Or even"That puppy is terribly cute, isn't he?!"

there are literal machines featured, which misses the point of the song. there are some examples of human-machine hybrids which could bounce off the theme without purchase. really needed to be more like people turning into machines, but even that would be a light cut. if i was making the tool video the scenery in this song seems to want to be, i'd go for humans turning machineLIKE (maybe employing the classic stop-motion technique seen in the early vids), and elite people literally building poor people from spare bodyparts. maybe humanity as a planet-wide machine, invaded with virus after virus spreading around and changing the shapes of the connections between people and the pathways of cultural conscience. shit like that. this is brooding imagery, similar to tool vids and a few of my favorite creepy vids (yeasayer's "i am chemistry" coming to mind), but it doesn't feel coherant to the song at all. impressive taken together, but could have been much more powerful.

The song also highlights how musicians can be exploited and controlled by corporations and managers, depriving them of authenticity and identity. This is not a video about crooked record business, it's a PF fan video. I was testing new technics and this is what came out. With no financial support, this is how far I was able to take it.

AI is now able to bring to life our creativity in a format that entertains us. I admit I love this recreation of this classic Pink Floyd track, but has it yet achieved what we thought we were building it for, surely we wanted it to help bring humanity closer together. Though I am concerned that it may be used to further isolate us, dictators will use it to identify and eliminate what they determine as 'threats'. Love to see some more PF songs get the AI treatment - if the AI actually understood the lyrics that is.
Interestingly enough "Rush" 2112 is about destroying the singular controlling entity of a civilization and Welcome to the Machine could be said, is a song that helps describe the singular controlling civilization heads, further!

There is a reason why I do these AI videos. I do music licensing somewhat normally. 2023 all the little music jobs started to disappear, maybe AI or maybe my music is not good enough anymore? I never had a real possibility to make real
videos(and my ex took the nice Sony camera). Now I can do videos.
Reason why I been doing Pink Floyd Videos, TDSOTM50. I took a loan from my current girlfriends mother and invested 2000 hours on 3 Pink Floyd Videos last year. I’m very slow and maybe very stupid to invest my time on this. Time is still pretty hot commodity among humans. Sometimes I wonder if I would’ve spent last year making music, would my situation be better than worst? Would I feel accomplished or satisfied?
Pink Floyd owns all the rights for these videos and I had to sign a paper last year and give away a usage rights for those 3 videos that I made. It’s a same thing for all thousand animations that were done for free with exclusive rights for the band. I believe we can’t even show them in public without licensing syncs and all other fun stuff.
“Welcome to the machine” song is about music business, not dystopian purgatory like the video I maid. My videos is more about Moloch trap(I don’t believe in it) and what I imagine it would look like. I wanted to experiment with new style that I haven’t tried.
Aren’t these the millionaires singing about dismal music business in this song and selling brand new 300$ box set of an album that came out 50 years ago?
