  • `Barbarians' are often blamed for the collapse of the Roman Empire, but in reality, they were fascinating civilizations that produced magnificent art. Focusing on the Huns, Vandals, and Goths, Waldemar follows each tribe's journey across Europe and discovers the incredible art they produced along the way.

There's a reason they were painted naked and it wasn't for the sake of historical accuracy. I assure you... It was more likely to appease people drinking wine and to entice buyers who would want it for a type of aphrodisiac to those who gazed upon it.

right, the huns were universally hated by people because they were misunderstood....no, they were hated because they were psychopathic murdering bullies. how you dont say this once is amazing. They were legit a WARRIOR culture. thats why they were hated, just because youre a warrior doesnt mean you cant make art. In fact a lot of great art is made by psychopaths who are no doubt- an annoyance to deal with, and actually insane.

Yup! And the UN only just changed the rules, and it is bc of the Ukrainians and the Russians, and I sort of feel sorry for them. Everyone is only sympathetic towards the Ukrainians. Even if we look at all of the wars since the Great War, we all know the rules. And all of a sudden, the UN is going to change it up and basically alter our understanding of War, as well as winners and losers (and every expression--in every language--based upon them!). Personally I don't think their recent alterations to the laws of war will take. Those of us old enough to remember the Cold War and everything since, can't all of a sudden change our way of thinking. To which wars and conflicts should these laws apply? How far back should we go? What about the countries who aren't part of the UN? Or just those who didn't vote for these new laws? All very curious...
