I bought the GRXC2 Samurai the minute it released and I have used it extensively. The best bag is 100% subjective. I have been purchasing GORUCK bags and products since day one and the bags take time and good ol' usage to really reap the benefits of comfort. The difference between the GRXC1 and GRXC2 are opposite ends of the spectrum. Aruguably it is unfair to equally judge them IMHO. The Samurai is indeed a little stiffer than other GORUCK bags, but that is by design. An easy fix is to soak the bag in the tub for a few hours and hang it with weights or ruck with some weight for a while. Nevertheless, I have the OG first edition GR1 and it's the most comfortable bag because its been used for so long. I intend to use and abuse my Samurai. Thanks for the review.
Personally, I'm not sure how durable this material will be in the long run. Especially if you use it for outdoor hiking and travel. It's like a rugged jean material.
