- Keeping it G The series: Episode 1
In this video, I show you how to do a coolant flush.
links of all I use can be found here:
Coolant flush kit: amzn.to/40kk1UK
Screwdriver: amzn.to/3YSfhEw
IG: g37supreme ...
Keeping it “G” would be using Asian Blue fluid.
Any coolant will work . All do the same thing . Really doesn’t matter what color it is. Coolant is coolant . Mine has had green in it since bought it although I plan on using Nissan blue one next OEM
Nope the colors have different additives to protect the cooling system, the blue one last longer, just don’t mix the colors or else you’ll harden the coolant fuckin up ur engine
@@lion3014 This is correct.
Gotta b blue
@@lion3014 false buddy this isnt the early 2000s anymore . COLOR IS JUST DYE , COLOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THAT😂😂😂😂. Literally just dye . Certain manufacturers put different dyes that just changes the color nothing else. Everybody should know that you cannot mix different colors. But as long as it’s one color of coolant it really doesn’t matter the damn color now days. Guess what , if you go to jiffy lube and ask for a coolant change they USE YELLOW COOLANT now no more green , and the yellow is just a DYE . Yellow is ALSO a long life coolant which is the EXACT SAME AS THE long life BLUE coolant .
Loving the new series. Can't wait to see what else is in store
Good to see you back man
You can use green for 2008 and under 2008 and above is blue
Do you leave the car on during the whole process ?
No car was off for the coolant flush. Only when I filled it back up did I power on the car to bleed the system.
good video to learn from bro thanks.
i have a little problem with my 2014 370z and i need answers fr, i changed the coolant fluid and the heater hose connecter but afterwards while driving the car i noticed water sound sloshing behind the steering wheel! i am kinda worried tbh and hope u got any idea to figure out what caused that issue and how to solve it.
thanks again
Have you learned anything about this? I have the same issue
It could be that the coolant system is not burped properly?
Could probably be the windshield reservoir too?
-I know that this is on the opposite side of the car. But these are the only things I can think of. I would probably start with this, I could be wrong, as im not familiar with the platform as I am with the g37.
@@leandrobarrera2 actually it could be many things such as the heater hose is not functioning well so it needs a replacement, or air trapped insid the cooling system.
in my case it was a shorten of the coolant fluid all i needed to do is fill it up at MAX level or a little bit more and drive the car after with the heater on all the way up on max heat
How much coolant did you end up filling it back up with? Including the reservoir tank.
1.5 gallons so you will need to buy 2 gallons
Where did you get your interior dash cover? Looks great
I will do a video on it soon
looked G to me too. lol
What are those red lines i see in the engine bay and what do they do ?
That's the sauce
Grounding cables
So you didnt flush it out with distilled water? You just drained the old coolant and added new coolant ?
correct
@@1BuildMedia So then is not a complete flush! 🤦🏻♂️
I was wondering what kind of coupler or heater hose you use or got it from? I had the same issue also where my coolant just steamed everywhere. Was thinking of doing your way?
to do it right I suggest you get the one from z1.
Ty for making this video. God bless
At 1:45, what is the inner diameter of that hose? I need to replace that part
If u still havent figured out its 3/4
The coolant bleeder part for 08 is 92500-JK20A but should fit other cars as well.
Can anybody guide me on the right direction, I recently changed my thermostat and radiator After symptoms of overheating, I cannot be on drive-through or any place stop for more than 5 to 10 minutes when temperature will go high seem to work fine for the first two weeks has been a month now, and the symptom is back as far as parking for more than five minutes and starting to heat up, so I figured I will replace the thermostat one more time which I did, and wanted a good tutorial on how to change the coolant which led me to this video, I also ordered the funnel on Amazon used it today, but I noticed that it wouldn’t stop fluid from going to the reservoir, my other issue I had was trying to put my AC in hot, it would not heat upat all, it will throw fresh air after having it on for 10 minutes. Car started overheating, what should I change next?
2014 q50 3.7
Forgot to add, car only overheats while I have AC on, turn it off seems to help cool down the car
Sounds like you got air in your system
sounds like you need to bleed the system to release air
@@1BuildMedia so re do it again ?
Question then about the z1 bleeder
If I replace the heater hose part that breaks with the metal z1 coupler with the bleeder port, will I need that funnel/burper thing at all? Or will the z1 bleeder do the job on its own?
Well it's a more tedious process with the bleeder port you got to open and close it to get the coolant to fully cycle through and the air releases
@@1BuildMedia ahh I see, I have both right now and was thinking to just return the funnel if I didn’t need it, but if it makes it easier/faster then I guess I’ll just use it anyway.. will the process
Be faster if I burp and use the bleeder port at the same time?
@@mrrager9231 check the Video from Motordyne G35 Radiator Coolant Flush Bleed Change. It takes forever to bleed without that funnel..
This will save you a lot of time you will need to keep opening and closing. My method is quicker slimmer almost set it and forget it
Tell m bout that wrapping of your dash!!!! Video? Did the dash need to come out?😮😮😮
Soon
@1buildmedia what the brightest HID bulbs is the best for this car am in jamaica
I am not sure
So for the 2015 q50 the coolant is supposed to be blue ?
Check with the dealership or look on z1
Fog lights??? Where did you get them?
If you are talking about the ones that came with the vehicle it's just a wrap over them. The custom ones I got off Amazon. If they were reputable I would recommend but they aren't
Pretty sure all infinitis use blue fluid for coolant not green so be careful. Still good
Video
Thanks for the tip!
You can use green it’s just recommended to use blue for models 2010+ I’m using green going to switch to blue
2009 and up use blue
W series
Thank you
Is that a Trini accent?
What accent? Jk. 🇯🇲
You’re supposed to use blue coolant
Bro thought the same exact thing bro
Yikes, not using Nissan blue? good luck with that
You can use green if it’s under 2009 I think
If I wanted to hear loud music I would go to a concert. Turn the music down so I can I interpret the accent😡😡
Just look at the video it shows you step by step….ur a troll, Ur being racist with that last sentence too not cool🤦♂️
