Nice comparision. I have the Sennheiser, and it works pretty well outdoors with a slight breeze. LIke the others, you can add a dead cat cover for windy days.

if your audio are unedited, I guess your sony camera does a very good job in reducing the white noise / hissing sound

Yes, all audio was unedited. I agree the built in mic is pretty decent.

there is something terrible in videomic ii i cant believe that!shotgun mics are best for walking tour videos but with this mic when you are walking if make shake for any reason like wind or speedy walking then sound gone sucks and unusable!i tried too many ways and the cable in back of the mic is the reason so i tried to fix the cable, its now better but problem stills there!i search other videos and i see this problem on all videos!if mic get shaked sound gone sucks...but no one talked about this problem!if you wanna walk or record on windy place dont buy video mic with 3.5 mm jack

I came from watching a video where they mentioned that the problem was in the movement of the cable, what they did was hold the cable well so that it didn't swing even a little, you can try it.

@@juantutri4582 i fixed the cable but it just get a little better, problem is from inside the socket!if you are recording in fixed place its good but for walking videos its trash!

Appreciate your effort, I can't see much difference between 'videomicro ii' and 'go ii'. So piling up extra bucks wouldn't be good, unless our requirement is in built USB C port in 'Go ii ' mic

Agreed. I can hear the difference when using good quality headphones but not much when using standard monitor/phone speakers.

@@howtotechstuff I heard with good quality headphones only, Sony XM5, even with that subtle difference only

I can hear the audio cracking at 3:57 "audio" and at 3:59 when you say "camera".
    5:53 "towards", 6:00 "camera"

Bro, you are reviewing a sound quality of a microphone but I think you need to check the audio quality of yiu r video first.
