Just ordered flat jacketed for our well. Thank you for the video!
You're awesome Chris! I've been drilling and servicing water wells for a little over 2 years now and your videos have helped me fully understand some concepts I've had trouble learning in the field.
that Dunder Mifflin coffee mug! haha brilliant!
The best!
What about the difference between stranded and solid wire? The well guy I just used took out my solid wire that was on a 3/4hp pump (the pump died) on a 115ft pump depth and replaced it with stranded. He said stranded is better but I find that hard to believe given just about every other application where I found solid to be a better wire (ie... you can't get and stray stranded wired falling off with a solid, etc. What do you think?
Hey Chris, I was wondering if you could do a video on UV light filtration system installation, thanks you're videos are great!
We've done it! Check out our playlist: ua-cam.com/video/HoFFui4LGZo/v-deo.html
You mentioned in a video you might be able to help out if we had a question. My pump stopped working earlier this week and no Water at all. Ended up pulling the pump And replacing it. The replacement did not work. I replaced the pressure switch And there is 240 there on both sides of it. This is an older pump so it has just 2 wires going down to it. I grounded the pump temporary while i had it still laying on the ground, directly to the well head. I'm trying to see if I was getting power to the pump Pump did not turnover But when I use my voltage gauge With the ground on the pump In the hot on the lead at the Pump is connected to the down wire120 on both sides Not sure what's going on or what I should do
normal underground flat jacket wire will work for a well right?
what wire do you use when connect the control box to a generator?
I was wondering if you could give me advice with hooking a pressure switch to a Gould's booster pump. Instead of using a 12v pump for my pressure washing business. There is a vid I can show you to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Could you help?

I currently have the yellow flat cable, the conductor with the green stripe on it ground, there is a plain yellow, and a yellow with a red stripe, the pump is a two wire pump 120 volt
Which conductor would you consider to be the neutral, the plain yellow or the one with the red strip?
I was told on this that is does not matter
I don't believe the jacketed cable was available at a time when the Jacuzzi submersible pump was installed in a well drilled 200+ feet below on my grandparents farm in the 1970s.
my pump has
green/yellow- Ground symbol, blue-L,
brown-C,
black-N cables, how do i match the
those colors to the ones in this video
Hi! Is it possible to use those cables underground in a pipe to connect a shed to a house? Is there any restrictions?
No, you can't use these for buried lines. Typically you'll use either UF direct bury or THHN in conduit.
Can you use orange romemext. Wire in a well 10/3
No, you need to use Submersible rated pump cable. We sell it in 10/3+ground on our website: www.rcworst.com/Wire-c174.html
Do i need a 110 or a 220 hookup for my pump?
Do you already have a breaker in for it?
