I didn’t mention Josh Hader in this because I put Snell ahead of him as I think he would bring back more value in a trade. However, I definitely think Hader is up for grabs if the Padres keep sliding.
I think based on all the ideas shared in this video, Brent Rooker or Cody Bellinger would be interesting as well. It just depends on who’s available at what price
I'm not trading for Joe if I'm the Cleveland Guardians. He is 30 years old and still in his pre-arb years. He also has a 107 wRC+. I'm looking specifically for the Orioles' Heston Kjerstad. Controllable power bat prospect with star potential. He is part of the surplus of quality outfielders that the Orioles have, so they should be willing to shop him for their dire need of SP. Bieber seems to be out of the picture, though I would've liked to trade him. Cantillo seems like the best trade candidate for Kjerstad (unless the Orioles somehow settle for Bieber) because he's controllable with great upside. I wouldn't be reluctant to add a bit more if they ask for it either because we need a good hitter in the outfield.
As an angels fan I think sending Shohei to Tampa or Baltimore would work best as the angels are going to try and re-sign him in the off-season it wouldn’t make sense to send him to the Yankees or the dodgers and let him get used to those situations. Tampa and Baltimore won’t re-sign him so the angels will still have a chance
Like you said i think ohtani will sign with the rays and if the athletics end up moving at the end if the year, they will pick him up. Shohei in a gambling city just makes sense plus brings more fans to a new team and stadium
I like the trade idea for my O's, but Grabbing Snell would be nice. Bring in someone who has had success vs the AL East, or bring in E Rod. Granted if Braddish/Wells keep pitching liek they are, Means comes back, Gibby and Kremer work as back enders. Not real need for starter
I have concerns with Scherzer with his recent injuries as well as how expensive he is. Our pen is getting a lot of work with the constant SP fluctuations. I am for trading for Cubs' Steele and Boston's Paxton.
I think the Padres only real need is in the bullpen. We have solid-to-great pieces everywhere else ... but when the starters hand the ball over in innings 7-8, we lose games... no lead is safe. I'd be curious to see how many games we lost where we were leading as the starter came out, but ended up losing... That's what is so frustrating to me... our record is crap, yet our team is great... we just can't win.... finding a better bridge between our starters and Josh Hader is the only thing we need... Send some bullpen help to San Diego please! Chances are, this season is toast... and who knows what we'll look like in '24.... it's so frustrating...
I’m not even a padres fan and it’s frustrating to watch bc Soto Bogaerts and Machado let Tatis Jr down they was supposed to be the best team and when Tatis came back they were supposed to be unbeatable yet Tatis missing that many games he came back and been their best player atleast batter bc the SP for the padres been really good but man I wanted to see Tatis so bad in the playoffs 🤦🏽♂️

The Orioles biggest issue is the middle relief so that trade makes sense. Their starters have gotten better throughout the year so their overall stats don't quite match what they've been doing as of late. That middle of the pen is a mess, and at this point Cano and Bautista are the only ones who can be trusted
Orioles take is spot on. I wanna see what Grayson Rodriguez has 1 more time before we trade the farm for an ace. Middle relief is a more glaring problem imo

Not sure if there is a rule that would stop this but: imagine if ohtani got traded then just resigned with the angels in the offseason? I feel like a similar thing happened when aroldis chapman went form NY to CHI back to NY
I like A LOT of these scenarios. However, my favorite of your suggestions, that I never even thought about was Jack Flaherty to the D-Backs. That seems like a perfect fit squeezed in-between Gallen and Kelly. Love it. When I saw that come up in the video I audibly said out loud “Oooooh”. Great takes my man.
The yanks should trade for ohtani and stack the deck good pitcher plus that ss they have plus 3 top prospect maybe more they got the money if not yanks I think the Boston red socks they got the prospects and the money and build around him I would give him a 12 year deal around 445 million to 500 that's what it going to take if you trade for him it's got to be perfect fit cause it's going to take a lot to get him that's my pick I think it will be Boston if not them yanks and my third team and it's a sleeper it the reds they have been fun team but sometimes fun needs to be looked at seriously
I like the Bellinger to the Yankees trade but if it’s at all possible they should try to get Juan Soto. He would help their pitiful offense way more than Bellinger.
There's absolutely no way Sea is trading B Miller, B Woo or anyone else from SP rotation for just a guy like Donovan. Yeah we need hitting help & some certain positional help, but there's other options that we can get for ton less cost that young, tons of team control, mid rotation caliber SP, especially with how precarious our rotation is RN with Marco Gonzalez injury return time still a while off & uncertain, R Ray getting injured early in the season & being out until at least mid way of 2024 season, Woo already have pitched more innings than he has in MiLB & even NCAA ball before, showing fatigue and Ms ideally wanting to move him back to MiLB where he can skip periodic starts & limit innings pitched until at least late in reg season or possibly start of post season play. So even without trading 1 of current SP rotation guys, Ms want & kinda need to acquire another #4/#5 caliber SP to help eat innings & reduce strain on bullpen that's kinda getting run into the ground recently.
Trading Brendan Donovan is not happening. The cards said no when offered Sean Murphy for him. Edman is definitely gone, Masyn Winn is scorching hot in AAA.

@@corybabcock4263 if the angels are smart and what something in return they'll fuck with the dodgers
The Orioles biggest issue is the middle relief so that trade makes sense. Their starters have gotten better throughout the year so their overall stats don't quite match what they've been doing as of late. That middle of the pen is a mess, and at this point Cano and Bautista are the only ones who can be trusted
Very interesting pick for ATL
I definitely want 1 or 2 more arms on this staff
I'd prefer a pure setup reliever and find a cheaper starter to eat innings.
Orioles take is spot on. I wanna see what Grayson Rodriguez has 1 more time before we trade the farm for an ace. Middle relief is a more glaring problem imo
They have one of the best records in the majors with what they have.all they need is another good arm in the bullpen and Im ok with them not bringing in anything else.they just swept one of the better teams in the majors with what they got over the weekend.this team and organization is building to compete for years to come theres no sense in trading all that away to go after it this year.
We don’t need to trade the farm for an ace but we have too many infield prospects we could give a couple for a Giolito or something
Not sure if there is a rule that would stop this but: imagine if ohtani got traded then just resigned with the angels in the offseason? I feel like a similar thing happened when aroldis chapman went form NY to CHI back to NY
That happened with Chapman when he went from NYY to CHC back to NYY
@@nickmoorman6359ya no shit read the comment
There’s no rule with that
I like A LOT of these scenarios.
I like a Tyler O’Neill + Flaherty/Montgomery package for the DBacks
Tbh give me a Bryan Woo and Travis Kuhn for Brandon Donavan and Tyler O’Neill for SEA & STL
Rangers go for Ohtani as he’s a monster bat that fits well within the potent Rangers offense AND a top pitcher that the rangers can abuse.

only issue is sending all those prospects to to a division rival
I feel like if the Padres trade snell, they would have to send Sanchez with him since his success has been since Sanchez joined the team.
The Cubs must absolutely not trade Bellinger. That would be awful.
I know I'm late but Giolito to the Anaheim Angels.
Why the fuck would we trade Donovan?? He can play multiple positions and if he isn’t on defense he’s dhing and is always getting on base
Yankees trading fro Strowmon and Cody would be such a Yankee move. The Yankees should be sellers they stink
Twins need bats wouldn’t mind Robertson though
Whitesox have some many problems dude they NEED this trade deadline even thought it’s over for us
Jays need someone who can get RBI’s. RISP has been at an all time low ( though blame cam be on our incompetent hitting coaches) especially against division rivals.
I think it’s gotta be the guys they have, but then again maybe they are what they are
no hate to you or your knowledge, but the rangers desperately need bullpen arms, there pen in the 1st half was awful
Think it’s a cop out saying the same player twice but glad there wasn’t that many in the video
the yankees one is actually a no brainer, but I have a feeling that they won't do it or the cubs won't allow it
I would much rather see JP France start in the post season than Hunter Brown at this point
Angels got giolito chances of ohtani going are very low😂😂
What can the angles get for ohtani? Let me know....
Yea just get rid of all of tiger pitching I guess
The orioles will trade for a starter and a middle relief
Not a Phillie's fan,
But had a dream Shohei played in a Phillie's uniform.
2 years later Trout follows after.
As a Die hard Angels fan, I woke up and said to myself What a terrible F*ing nightmare. 😢
As a phillies fan I love Ohtani but I don't want anything to do with Ohtani. He's a big risk
As a Phillies fan lets do it 😂😂😂
Brendan Donovan to the Mariners I like!
Ted Sox need pitching.....
