Vaxis Thor Wireless Video System

At NAB 2024 in Las Vegas, Vaxis was showing its yet-to-be-announced Thor wireless video system.
What was interesting is that there aren't traditional RX and TX units. Both units can be set using a switch on the side to be either a TX or a RX depending on your requirements. At least to my knowledge, this is the first time I have seen stand-alone wireless units with this capability. Yes, there have been plenty of wireless monitors that can be used like this, but not individual components.

I friggin love Vaxis. My storm system has always been more reliable than any teradek system I've used. Only questions I have about thor are: bitrate and resolution and can it work in webcam mode over the USB C like the new Accsoon system. I'm holding out for a good 4K system with a decent bitrate for when the Storm is overkill. For interviews and stuff where the lowest latency isn't super necessary, I'd love a high res signal I can punch in to for periodic focus checks

Great but you never asked about the latency. You did a demo but... In any event, interesting product.

in the demo, it looked like 2 frames (from youtube playback) and also considering the huge amount of signal at NAB, it seems nice. Considering its a all in one solution, its a good result IMO
