    WHAT IS THE PLANTAR FASCIA?
    Your plantar fascia is the large ligament on the bottom of your foot that connects your heel to each of your toes. It’s responsible for the integrity of the foot and aids in the formation of the “arch”. It’s a very important structure in helping us to stand and walk.
    WHAT IS PLANTAR FASCIITIS?
    Overuse and other trauma to the plantar fascia can result in inflammation and pain in this area. This is known as “plantar fasciitis” and it is commonly caused by excessive walking, too much time on your feet, improper footwear, or overuse (jumping, running, etc).
    HOW TO TREAT PLANTAR FASCIA PAIN?
    While it is absolutely miserable, plantar fascia pain can be successfully treated with the right stretches, exercises, and modalities. Our goal is to decrease inflammation and pain, gentle stretching to decrease tension, and strengthening to improve integrity in the foot. You’ll get all three in this video!

    Hello mate I've been on the mend from lower back pain and a dead right glute.
    I'm way more flexible and almost pain free thanks to your videos!
    However, now I have stabbing pain in my anterior ankle that radiates up into the calf when walking.
    Its feels like the pain in my back and glute has just rolled down.
    Any tips would be appreciated.

    The golf ball trick is amazing-it truly works like magic. better with a thick carpet or rubber matting underneath. Many thanks for it.

    I dealt with this pain for almost 2 years. With that being said the thing that worked 100% for me was trying to get my big toe to go from horizontal to straight vertical (up) while the rest of my toes tried to go straight vertical (downward) at times even crossing my big toe with the others, like you would cross your fingers. At times it felt like a Charley horse but you have to push through it!! Also the towel on the ground trick worked very well. I thought this pain would last the rest of my life, but it is completely 100% gone!

    Do tou need to lay of walking for exercise while irritated? The stretching makes a huge difference.

      Thank you. I took the inserts out that were supposed to help with pain and switched out my worn out Brooks with new ones and added your stretching. I hope all of this will help with recovery. My heel feels bruised and has slight soreness in my insole just like your diagram. Tight calves and hamstrings as well. I'm so glad I found your post. Already feel the difference.

    I massaged out my heel with my massage gun at night and the next day it was soooo painful. Do you know what I did wrong?
    Thanks for this video, I’ll def try what you mention. Right now my foot is also broken so I can’t try these out yet but I need to strengthen my foot once the boot is off so I will be doing these. I also learned that I sleep with my toes pointed toward the edge of the bed and that at night I should try to sleep with my toes pointed to the ceiling to help with the plantar fasciitis. It’s hard for me to do when I’m asleep tho
