Just wondering, since you’re buying all of those dvds, wouldn’t it be pretty profitable to drive around to all the other local dollar trees? They usually receive the same dvds at all their locations. Since you’ve already scanned a bunch you would spend less time at each of the subsequent locations by knowing what is worth selling.
Sadly there are only 2 within over 30 mins of my house. So yeah I can probably hit up 1 more, I may do that tomorrow actually :)

My local dollar tree just upped their prices to $1.25 🤪 I pick up stacks of books pretty often .. idk why I never checked the DVDs!

Two Thngs ....You are better then dollar tree lol You can do this due to FBA and being ungated on dvd's. So 99% of us cant do this. This is just like the people who post Wallmart videos when nobody else gets the same deals.
I did post a bunch of ideas sprinkled throughout the videos of things good for eBay. I will try picking those things up next time and seeing how they sell on ebay

DVD's are probably the riskiest thing to sell from the dollar tree anyway. Food items,coloring books,trinkets etc. those could all just be regional overstocks. Almost every non kids Mockbuster at Dollar Tree is something that has been sitting in a film distribution studio's storage for many year.So when you find movie XYZ suddenly at your local dollar tree chances are that's now at dollar tree's across the country, so even if their is something that is listed for $15 sell price on amazon and a profit to be made reselling it then it becomes a race btwn resellers if they dropped said item at every local store the same day.
Interesting thing is people might consider buying these items online from DT website, BUT they're only sold in bulk and most people don't want 25 of them so DT items are good local finds.

Just we adjust our prices getting to point if a seller ask under 5.50 shipped there losing money in my eyes. If they paid 1.25 of course.

My local Family Dollar had/has a sealed copy of Backyard Baseball 2010 for PlayStation 2 in their video game section as of a few months ago. I always thought that was pretty random and hilarious.

the prices are already crashing hard on some of the DVDs, the race to the bottom sellers found them too, unfortunately. One with solid price history selling around $20 people jumped in at 9.99 or less.
Ill give an update in a couple of weeks to see how many of mine sold.
@@ThriftSchool Found one I have sold before and it has been steady at $30 for as far back as the chart goes. Hit DT and BOOM 15 for a week and now 7.99 OUCH! I will just have to outlast the price crashers! Wish they would learn they do not need to totally tank an item to sell.

Hey been a big fan of the channel for a while now. Would you ever consider doing tutorial style videos for selling on Amazon? I know eBay pretty well but hesitant to get into Amazon. Ty for the content!
I have thought about it, but it has changed so much over the years, and im grandfathered into so many categories. I also use a 3rd party listing software that most people dont use so I wouldnt be of much help.
Also, that's your first mistake, don't be hesitant. It takes tenure and consistency to get into Amazon. It's worth every hurdle, and hoop you jump through and over lol. Don't wait, because it'll take you 6months to a year to even really "start" on Amazon, but again, so much easier than eBay when it comes to shipping haha

Its hard but not impossible. Lots of videos out there on how to get ungated. I was actually gated in DVDs until just a couple of years ago. I was also gated in Grocery and lots of brands that I have been getting ungated in. It can be worth it to give it a shot.

Yes of course. I try to make sure the ranks per category are accounted for, for each item.
You should Also look at the competition, they can sell for $15 but if you look at other selling. It goona be 9.99 or some even 7.99. Just a heads up.
The dollar tree I went to had about 100 dvds sealed. I would have scanned and bought them all for you but I figure you don't want to drive to worcester massachusetts

Most of those don't scan correctly because they use a generic barcode. As in the same code. Uncork'd and hig octane do it alot

im getting allot of crap from other sellers in forums about selling books from dollar tree as new.. anyone else have this issue? i want to list as new and have but people are saying that amazon will disable my account as the publishers consider these liqidated or salvage... are thes people just haters or is there any merit to this?
There is some merit to that. Theres always risk invloved with everything. I personally know someone who had their account suspended for a bit reselling Brand New items from a wholesaler. So it seems like it can happen either way

At one dollar I would of bought all of the DVDs chances are they are worth more than 1 dollar

I dont think so. Im pretty sure most dollar trees around the country have slightly different inventory.
I went by my two local Dollar Tree's today to look for DVD's. They both had some, most not worth that much but found a few and had one question for you. Most of them did not have the original white security seal you find on the top edge of the case and almost looked like some might have been resealed with plastic. Do you think Dollar Tree is selling resealed DVD's and do you still pick those up if they don't have the original white security seal on the case?
If it looks resealed I would not mess with it. A good way to tell would be to check ebay as well. I actually just sold a sealed Nintedo DS game that had a "resealed" look to it, but it was how the game was actually packaged. Another way to check would be to go on UA-cam and type in the name of the movie/game and type in "unboxing" afterwards and youll be able to see how it was shipped off by the manufacturer.

Had some luck with few DVDs I found at my local Dollar trees but the issue is we get them very sporadically. They don't just have and endcap or section specifically for DVDs.
I have actually never seen DVDs at my local Dollar Tree. This is the first time, so maybe yours will get them now.

Amazon will basically keep it in the warehouse indefinitely, but they will charge you fees on how long it sits. I deff have stuff that sits forever that I end up trashing. Maybe 5% give or take
