- 40 years ago I walked the Offas Dyke path. Join me for a fantastic return as I walk the North section - 99 miles, from Welshpool to Prestatyn. Will I remember anything after all these years?

Full view - I enjoyed that and the commentary very much. A top for the kissing gates - just step onto the diagonals and the problem is solved. I've been doing that for some years. All the best. Mark

Offa’s Dyke is much longer than the WHW, but the opportunities for wild camping are not as easy to find, so I recommend planning ahead and booking accommodation or campsites.

Hi there , yep an enjoyable watch and great account of the journey. Blimey you’ve done plenty of good trails in the UK and you must have started young. I started in 86 when with my brother we did Wainwrights coast to coast we carried so much stuff🤣 and like you had a passion for it ever since. I have not done this route along with the WHW J just seem to have dismissed then but now I’m not working I may get around to them.

Thanks Dave. Yes, I started young; my first trail was the South Downs Way when I was 16. I shudder to think about the gear that we used! I also did most of the big trails in the UK before I took a break with work and family life. But these days I have more time to enjoy trails, and I'm making the most of it (as you can tell).
The WHW is extremely busy these days, but Offas Dyke wan't crowded. But it is very physical; plenty of ascent and descent each day. And loads of stiles and gates!!
