DIY incubator! A simple, cheap to build & effective incubator for hen, duck, quail and other eggs

This week - I build an egg incubator to be able to hatch hens eggs here at the homestead! It's made mostly from stuff that I had lying around and leftovers from other projects, but even if you have to buy everything you need it's still cheap to make, and it works well. The first batch of eggs had a 100% hatch rate!
Components required:
Insulated box. Make one from sheets of solid insulation or use a cooler.
Fan - a small cooling fan from an old computer is ideal. These are typically 12 volt so you'll also need a suitable power supply.
Heat source - Incandescent light bulb or heat lamp, plus bulb holder.

Hydrometer
