    Most of us would have called our Cat dealer and they would have sent a service person who would still be looking for where to plug in their diagnostic cable. Jeff you're a fosil with a wealth of knowledge.

      If ya want someone to go out there and fk ya might as well call me lmao. Theyre hit or miss and it ain't cheap either. Its always better to know your own equipment and do repairs yourself (unless it needs specialized equipment or something ya don't have)

    CAT charged me $1000 just to come plug in Diagnostic and read codes on my 2016 320 for DPF clogged 3500 hours
    $4500 for new DPF and a harness on engine was bad $7000 total..
    The Service Tech never went to CAT school either and was a young kid working off his laptop being directed by service manager !
    Machine sat two weeks dead .ECM defuels motor. They could not get it running I DID!
    I found out I could loosen DPF from exhaust manifold and engine would start to move out of fkg hole so I could keep job going.
    Old CAT were the best.
    Not anymore like Deere greedy and you can't repair your own machine.
    I have CAT ET but it won't do what dealer can do..
    I went to dealer for a part and they handed me a part labeled "made in China"...
    I almost threw it through their window!
    I hear this alot from guys with newer teir 4 machines we have to use on government jobs ...
    Nice channel.
    Thanks

    G'day Jeff, P1 and P2 adjust your speed and direction clutch modulation. Your auto shift points usualy have more influence on the shift harsheness, governor feed pressure should be around 90 to 94 psi this pressure will change both your downshift and upshift points so set it first before setting your upshift points. No one has ever updated that trans, 35 years ago those steel tubes to that small manifold you removed were changed to plastic with an inbuilt screen. 🍻

    • @Jpaydirt
      @Jpaydirt  2 роки тому +2

      The initial pressure is to high on this one, it's about 10 psi more than the others

    I get it.., people make mistakes.., but man..!

    From my understanding the go-pros are designed to have air moving over them to dissipate heat. The case itself is a heatsink. The tabs on the bottom should be metal. Some have had success with using a metal mount to help with heat dissipation. Turning of stabilization and reducing resolution and fps will also help reduce heat created. Results may vary depending on which camera model one has.

Of course, as with the electric car situation, nobody even knows where all the electricity will come from, or if anyone will know how to service/trouble shoot them. Imagine a lithium battery fire, in the middle of a ripened wheat crop in the middle of summer! Unless this nonsense is countered, we will all be stuck with useless junk with no way out of a big mess.

    I love to see you hooking up in three, we were not allowed do that when I worked at a big company because if we hit something hard we would pull the floors right out of the scrapers . Did a job my self in Glenwood Colorado we used a D 10 N and 631 s and we tore up a couple of floors on a 200 ft cut on the side of a mountain with random 4- 6 boulders had a D 9 R pushing rocks around the 800,000 yard job 😂you guys got good potato dirt material you guys can load fast for sure . Keep up the good videos Jeff

    • @Jpaydirt
      @Jpaydirt  2 роки тому +1

      usually what happens is the weld that connects the top of the frog to the floor wears off and then theres no support for the frog and out it comes, cats metal is not very good, I use a half inch AR 400 top and a three eight's bottom and a A514 (T1) frog, CAT uses 90 thou tensile strength steel and only a 3/8 top and it doesn't take long to wear down the top and the weld until there's not much strength left

      Cat scrapers are just too small and low powered for the job
      If we want a building pad put in we'll still call the co tractors like Jeff
      The skills required to level it all out is a bit beyond us
