My favourite songs are all really heavy metal songs cuz of the fact that they express my emotions so well. My overall favourite song is Shattered by Currents, cuz it does such a good job at expressing the anger and pain that comes with depression. The vocals express the anger and frustration, the lyrics express the pain of it
Freaking astonishing take, Jonathan. The fandom has probably waited years for this song to reach your caliber of music. You did an amazing job, my guy ❤️

Can tell you've worked really hard to be able to do those screams yourself instead of calling in guest collabs. All the hard work paid off. It sounds AWESOME!
nah this voice is unrealistic for who i was always told the song was about no french king could sing like this this is more like a god of war proclaiming his fall from grace
@@drakezeneth2529 It is indeed about the French king... or should I see the French king while the French revolution... That is why ultimatly why the song is actually quite sad... This version just sounds more sad/irritated/Angry (Do not know how to call it...) at himself and the world. He had everything. But all of the sudden he had nothing and the people he had working under him stabbed him in the back and chopped his head off. (Of course this is the short version of what happened)
The lyrics tell a story of despair and his voice perfectly expressed the agony that would come with it. Nothing less than perfection... I love that cover so much, great job Jonathan! ♫
This version sounds like an angry king who just lost everything and is about to go on a suicidal rampage against his enemies. Just pure sadness and rage.
As the king's kingdom fell. He nestled in the ruins of the castle walls. He sat there, filled with grief and agony knowing he couldn't save his people. Seeing the lives he couldnt save. He sat in a old wooden chair. There he thought what comes in the distant future. He lost everything, he became pessimistic, filled with grief and hatred for the people who took everything away from him. Later he knew that grieving won't get him anywhere so he learnt to accept defeat. However his hatred made him a promise. He will do whatever he can do in his power to restore his Fallen Kingdom..
This was literally the song that my former class and I used to walk in into the graduation ceremony. The original version has already given me flashbacks to this beautiful moment, but your version? Holy cow, I'm drowning in tears.
Jonathan's can make people fall asleep but also wake up in an instant, hype them up and also make them cry. Also, the singer from Bury The Light, Victor Borba, collabs with other singers and producers online. Would be amazing if Jonathan and Victor collabed.
after proposing this song on only two videos .. he did the cover.. i am so.. impressed. And the cover is a total banger.. it is incredible... thank you so much John. so so much. for reviving such an emotional song. Love your work! keep it goin like aways.. you ROCK!
Yoooo thank you Jonathan for covering my all time favorite song. Kinda made me tear up while listening. Your amazing and your music, either self made or covers are awesome. The passion you have while you sing is truly off the charts. You really did this song justice. Keep up the work.
I have so many feelings attached to this song, from the nostalgia as a child playing Minecraft to the sadness and pain as an adult hearing this from a close new year eve party while mourning my passing father. Ngl, I cried listening this but it's amazing how so many strong feelings and memories can be attached to some sounds.
I really felt your heart in this one Jonathan, I'm a long time listener and your songs/covers always resonate with me and give me that push I need in a melodic format that I enjoy. Thank you.
Holy shit. I don't have the words. I've been following since around 2017 and I love your music. But this is something else. It's been a while since a song has given me chills like that.
i am going to do nothing but listen to this on loop for the next several months keep up the good work; you never cease to amaze and create masterpieces.
WOAHHHH!! This blew me away!! Amazing vocals, and a well-done instrumental! Brought me to tears :’) Keep doing what you do best, because you are killin’ it :))
You voice always sound so genuine and your expressions show the emotions I always feel should be portrayed for each song. I absolutely love your songs my dude. Keep up the good work!
This is some of your best work - I've been an avid listener for over eight years now. You've made one of my least favourite Coldplay songs absolutely brilliant. Perfectly arranged, mixed, and performed. Bravo.
The original was my favorite song of all time.. now I found this one and blew me away. This version legit made me tear up because of how amazing it was. Thank you!
This song hits kinda different today, its been a year since my great grandma died. She was my first friend, and it still kind of pains me to think about her being gone. Thank you for reminding me of the good times we had before she died.
The only Coldplay song I can stomach & actually enjoy. This cover gives more of a pontification to the lyrics than the original, even with the metal aspects!
I can't wait for your next album. Your growth over your years on UA-cam is so evident and amazing to see. I know you like doing original songs more, so I am pumped to see what you come up with next.
Wow this blew me away. I know you're good, but this is one of your best covers. Full stop. Up there with Unravel and Hellfire. Though they still don't compare to your original songs.
yes, my favorite music from coldplay finally covered. Pls, cover the others ones. The sloooow ones. Yellow, clocks, the scientist. That sad feeling screamed in a metal vocal is all I ever needed.
Sang this in high school choir, singing with a group really drowns out individuality. I remember pouring my emotions into it so to see you doing exactly that and having such an amazing result is awesome. You're amazing!
this brought me to tears...i've loved this song since i was a kid and you perfectly managed to capture the feeling of this song from my youth, in the genre of my adulthood...thank you.

This is the comment of all time
Dang, my dude. That was legitimately one of your best covers. The emotion was so genuine and the growls were incredibly well placed. 10/10
it can be more emotional at a lower speeds such as 0.75 playback speed, even if it sounds distorted
also in the beginning it could use a little bit more bass
Absolutely! Epic is the right word for this.
yeah, i don't even like growls that much but those were so well placed they elevated their respective parts to a whole new level
What should I sing next? 🔥 Leave a comment
shatter me by lindsey stirling
I'd love your cover of the OG House of the rising sun by The Animals
Do Fallen Kingdom.
The true version, the minecraft version, heck while you're at it cover the whole Fallen Kingdom saga!

1:09 🤯 AMAZING!
Making me cry before the drums even come in this is fire 🔥
Coldplay version feels like a fallen ruler lamenting his lost.
This version, he's angry and he's about to burn down the entire world in revenge....

Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy’s eyes
Listened as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead long live the king
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
Missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
Once you’d gone there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn’t believe what I’d become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
I know St Peter won’t call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
