in all fairness, porsche has a habit of making these massive crossovers drive and handle like something 2/3rds their size and weight. basically black magic.
if i'm ever pressured by an SO into getting a crossover, it'll have to be a macan turbo

"Closed piece of road"? On Crete....? AHhahhhAHAHhaH... Everything is legal until you get caught on Crete and, as I assume you saw, there is no police anywhere. I learned how to drive on those exact roads with my Dads old 240 Volvo. I now live in Estonia and have not seen my home for some years. You made my day.

The new Cayenne is not out till next year.
2018 model year Cayenne is already at dealers. It's still the same mid-cycle refreshed Cayenne as 2015.
This is a US advertising thing. For some reason, americans won't buy a car unless its from the future. Pretty much anywhere else, it's just the 3rd gen Cayenne.

I've always thought that these extremely capable Suv's based on sort of sports sedan architecture were a great drive. I've driven some of the older one's, like the first ones basically. I drove a friends grandfather's Porsche Cayenne Turbo S think it was an 09' maybe and 08' but that SUV drove unnaturally fast through the canyons I took it on, and I have to say the torque on those twin turbo V8's are amazing, if this one is anything like that one, then it's an amazing acceleration feeling for something so heavy and bulbous, This one is supposed to handle even better than the past ones, and considering I was amazed, scared even, at how much grip the thing had through turns, because I couldn't believe that it was doing it, even though it was happening right in my own hands. The only other super SUV I've driven was a 2010 BMW X5 M very similar to these Porsche's as far as power goes 555bhp and this one belonged to my Uncle. The BMW I will say felt much more flat and a bit more alive over some of the bigger bumps but the wheels were massive and they were staggered I believe from the factory. I could be wrong but they appeared to be much wider wheels in the rear from the Factory. Very similar as far as performance goes though, extremely fast for something so large and in turns once again I was surprised that I could do the things I was doing. I am a fan of these high performance SUV's even if they aren't exactly the most practical choices since they price goes up insanely quick compared to something that could do it all with lesss power for half the price, BUT Where's the fun in that!!!
Nice to see this filmed in Crete. I must admit I also have a soft spot for the Cayenne. I prefer the way the previous generation looked though.

I still prefer the previous gen 2016 Cayenne Turbo S. What was the point in downsizing from the 4.8 litre to the 4.0 litre when it's actually less efficient.... :(

Isn't this 4th gen? There was 955, 957, 958, and now the 4th gen? Why do they lump the 955 and 957 in as one generation when they're completely different model numbers?

I do not understand this idea of naming a car year that far in advance. He is driving a '2019' model in 2017. What? Also, Henry is the man.
I love it’s looks especially the rear with the new taillight strip. The front however isn’t my favourite, the black long and thin mouth looks ugly and needs redesigning.
It looks like this thing has no roll and it pretty much corners flat.
