    Thank you for the interesting content and the good explanations. I would be interested in a video series about your multimedia A/V-setup and alarm clock automation.

Treba fibaro ma zaluziovy ovladac, ktery by mel fungovat take a byt jenodussi na instalaci.

      @@bruxy70 Nakonec jsem namontoval na zkoušku jeden vypínač Sonoff TX2 do kterého bych rád nahrál Tasmota nebo ESP firmware - ale úplně nejvíc namakaný je ten Váš. Není nějaká možnost zkusit nahrát i do toho vypínače? Nebo je to blbost? Děkuji

      @@trnkavojtech Teoreticky by to melo jit, je tam konstanta _two_covers_, ktera kdyz se zakomentuje, tak by to mohlo fungovat. Ale nezkousel jsem to, predpokladam, ze nejake drobne ladeni to bude chtit. Minimalne nastavit spravne GPIOs

    Thanks, great video. I have 2 questions if I may; what kind/brand of blinds are these or have you installed your own motor?
    How did you install the wall buttons to the Sonoff (video?).

    • @bruxy70
      @bruxy70  4 роки тому

      They are from company www.stoma.ch/ I think. But I guess it would work with other brands too. The buttons are connected to wires soldered to the original sonoff buttons, as sown in the video.

    Hello Vaclav! Will this code work on new Sonoff Dual R3 witch have ESP32 board? I guess, no :/ Will you update code also for that board?

    • @bruxy70
      @bruxy70  3 роки тому

      Sorry, I will not update the code. I think the same can now be achieved with ESPHome. So if I ever did replace them, this is what I'd probably do.

    Vaclav, why not Z-Wave? Actuators for shades and light do exactly what you implemented, with existing swithes

    Thank you so much for your great video, I appreciate your work.
    I have a question:
    when compiling the code I got 2 errors:
    - ESP8266WebServerSecureBearSSL.h: No such file or directory
    - ESP8266WebServerSecureAxTLS.h: No such file or directory
    what do you suggest to resolve this issue?

      I think the ESP8266 Arduino board version got updated and they made some breaking changes. So it needs to be reviewed and fixed. If you know how and you do that, please share the code with the others.
      Or use the same board version I used originally (2.5.0). It should still work.
      Or use something else, such as Fibaro (www.fibaro.com/en/products/smart-roller-shutter/). When I did mine, it did not exist, but if I did it today, I think I'd use that. Or if you do not have Z-Wave, I think Shelly has one as well that uses WiFi.

      @Pilot16H Thank you, yes I know. I tried to install them but I didn't find them, so I deleted the two lines and it's working

    Hi Vaclav. Can your firmware be flashed on the Shelly 2.5 to control roller shades like the ones in the video?

    • @bruxy70
      @bruxy70  4 роки тому

      I have not tested that. I love Shelly's, I use them recently for lights, but I do not have 2.5 to test it, sorry.
      I think it runs on ESP8266, so technically this should work. But you'll need to set-up the right GPIOs and set the parameters building the project. Tasmota should have that in the documentation.
      If you are going to test it, it would be great to put the parameters in the GitHub site, so other people can re-use it.

    Hello Vaclav. I hope you are well. I just had my blinds installed (they look a lot like yours). They installed a 3 button latching switch with the blinds. An UP a DOWN and a stop button in the middle. When I click and release the down button and the blind is open, the blind fully closes and stops automatically (the button stays in, and I guess a limit switch stops the blind). The same at the opposite direction. At any point I press the middle button, the active switch is disengaged and the blind stops at that position. If I press the other button while the blind is stopped, it tilts (i.e. if I press down the blind starts closing, it stops if I press the middle button and then tilts if I click on the up button). 3 Cables go to the switch L, Up and down. Do you see any problem with this setup if I use your firmware on an ESP device (probably the sonoff dual) as you explain it in the video? Thank you

      I do not think it will work without modifications to the code. The way it works is, it will keep the relay closed for the shutter to move, and the shutter will stop as soon as the relay opens. If I did that today, I'd probably use a shutter actuator from fibaro. But I looked at them and they also only support 2 buttons.

      @@bruxy70 hello my friend. While playing with my shutters and their wall switch, I realized that the "stop" button is not actually a button (ie no wire goes on it) . It is just a mechanical interlock button that just allows 1 switch only to be operated at a time. There are only 3 wires coming from the motor , Up Down and Line. In this case, will your firmware work without modification? I am also experimenting on using the shelley 2.5 with your firmware, I will inform you if I manage to get it working, Thanks

    Hello Vaclav. Very nice video. I have a tilting shutter exactly like yours. Unfortunately I am totally new to arduino programming. Could you please post some instructions on how to download the files from your github and program the sonoff. Also a tutorial for home assistant configuration would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

      On the GitHub, click on the Green button Clone or Download, and choose download ZIP. I will try to go into some more basic videos when I am finished with this series. I might be perhaps a bit more advanced for someone who has no experience with Home Assistant and Arduino. Sorry about that.

    Can this setup work on it's own, without connecting it to home assistant?

    • @bruxy70
      @bruxy70  4 роки тому

      Yes, the buttons do work normally. But it does not open/close automatically and you cannot control it from your pc/mobile/Alexa etc.
