It a blessing to hear that Jamaicans want to come home but my advice to you all is :if you can afford it buy a house in a community that you are not from buy it,why? Most time when you are from a community, leave and come back, people think that you owe them something. If you live somewhere else then you avoid all of that and might be able to enjoy the money that you work so hard for over the years.
It is not right what happen but God is good a d he will see you through because he is lord over all so.e of us have it much harder than you Give thanks always he will see you through
Every black person Carribbean, African, etc. Needs a black experience in any of these Countries. It takes us back to respect, family unity, joy, natural foods etc. And just the joy of the people. Awesone, i love youd cooking. Keep rising.
Yes Morris, I was recently in Jamaica and was sorely disappointed too. I had savings at JTA and wanted to get a loan to buy property. I had a great balance in my account but they wanted a title (I don’t buy the land yet) among other things. Short story, I had to withdraw most of my shares to finance my business. Next, I went to Jamaica National New Kingston branch to open an account. I waited over an hour just to see a teller, she started the process, asked me for proof of who I am. I gave my US passport, my TRN, my pay stubs, my job letter, utility bills, NIS number, A state ID, and these were NOT enough to open the account. They wanted a Jamaican passport that was current too. I had an account with them and they found the account online. But, they still denied me the account. They discourage returning residents opening accounts with them. Well, I wanted the convenience of having the same bank in New York to transact business. Suffice to say, I went to Scotia bank (Liguanea) to open an account. Same documents presented. Account opened!!! Big up Scotia Bank!!!
Which bank would give a loan to a "foreigner"? Using a U.S. passport instead of a Jamaican one makes it seem like you don't have strong ties to Jamaica, raising concerns that you might abandon your loan. It's unfortunate that this has to be explained to an adult.
I lift my hat to you young man that you decided to move back home to Jamaica based on your personal conviction. You've closed your ears to the naysayers and the doom and gloom people who discredit and discouraged people to return. You are not alone. Stay strong and stay positive. Blessings be upon you continually. 🙏
You’re a very wise young man. Credit cards are useful, just make sure you pay the balance in full every month. Don’t pay interest. Carry a zero balance, gain the points. Those points can buy a plane ticket. Nice car! Congratulations!
It's a shame, I didn't know that they make it so hard for returnees. The government need to put things in place for Jamaicans abroad who want to invest and build back the country.
Ironically thats the reason why I would not retire in jamaica, I have no problem with whomever want to make that choice, I respect their personal decision. However, for me the same thing that this video is complaining about is exactly why I would not retire in jamaica, I said it before and I will say it again, jamaica is a backward place run by incompetent leaders. They have no vision and or foresight. There are so many places one can retire in the world with tropical environment and safety without compromise, jamaica is not the only place with nice beaches and sunshine.
Bless up king, watched your video and am inspired, from the Uk. Your right about not sharing your vision until its fulfilled. I’m a artist and a regular my family tell me not to because people mouth a wul dung. I’m planning to go back to, to try push my music. I did 18 months before, Jamaica needs to step up.
The system in Jamaica makes it hard for Jamaicans living overseas to transact business there indeed. I am so happy that God has blessed you and I pray that more blessings will be poured upon you and your family. Those experiences that Jahmar will have are priceless. Gwaan do yu ting Adrian. All the best.
Hi Mi Chef friend! I want to tell you to keep planning and making Decisions that are first guided by our GOD, family centered and self gratifying. My grandmother always said, “If a man has a plan, a good woman will follow him anywhere!” In other words, some men lack direction and rely on other things including the woman to make all decisions for his family. He is not sure of his role as a man, leader, husband and father, the provider. Right. So families are often time over stressed and destroyed as a result of this. As long as you keep GOD first and allow Him to order your steps, YOU and all things attached to you will be ever blessed by GOD(cars, health, finances, family, everything Mi friend!). Thanks for sharing. Nuf love from Dallas, Texas ✋🏽🙏🏽❤️✋🏽🤗
I understand fully. I grew up in the UK from the age of 7 but the pull was always there for my homeland. I am in my 60s have, my children are all grown up, with their own children. I have been back home now for 4 years and l could not be happier, living my best life, eating healthy. So many people can't believe l just upped and moved back home after so many years, there was so much negativity but God has been good to me and home is where my heart has always been and l wanted to spend my money in my home country. I used to visit Canada often before the Pandemic as l have lots of relatives there. The system in JA really needs improvement. I really admire what you are doing and wish all the best for the future for you and your family.
Hello there I am also making the move back after 37years....It feel right..it feels good to be home...I am learning to adjust to it all ...It is tranquil...peaceful...calming..exactly what I need in my life now...we can all live with a lot less than we want to believe....a whole lot less.....
Same thing with me. I left when I was 7 also grew up in New York. 45 now and if it wasn't for my son, I would pack up and leave too and head back to st bess. Bless up!
New subscriber. 🇯🇲 based in the 🇺🇸 .Very inspirational video. I totally agree that Jamaica needs to upgrade their banking system. I tried to open a savings account in JA, it took me months. The same is true for investment accounts. They ask for your entire life story. Here in the US, it takes less than 1 hr to open a bank account.
Scotiabank has a system where you go through the account opening pain once and after that, if you sign up for internet banking, you can open your own accounts online.
Its not Jamaica, Its the US govt that requested this information as the US govt tracks everything you do. Ive seen legitimate business men have to turn over documents to show where they derived the money from. If not the US seizes their assest and puts a freeze on their accounts. Its no joke. The US govt is watching you even if you live in Jamaica. The other day a house in Whitehouse Jamaica was raided and $600 million US dollars was found stacked in a bedroom from floor to ceiling. Within a week the US Coast Guard were patroling the waters up and down the south coast. I witnessed this myself. ( The US Ship that is )
Best move you have made, I am on my way home survival is the key. Canada is rolling ground for the Rest. I am here in 🇨🇦 too. That a part of my problem my family refuse to come with. But I realize I can only save myself.
This happened to me but I was trying to buy a house in Jamaica. Here’s what you do, go to a credit union instead of the big banks. They will assist you and the process is way smother.
Joan, what credit union did you use? I was back home in May & went to update my information on my joint account I opened with my mother when I was a preteen before migrating to Canada. Despite having my IDs, bill showing my address, pay information they still wouldn’t update my info & asking for 2 people to vouch for me in JA! I’m like, I haven’t lived in JA since I was 13, I don’t know any Pastor or accountant etc. Plus my aunt is a vice principal & they said I can’t use her. Mind you I work for a major financial institution in Canada for over almost 2 decades and they wouldn’t update my information. I found this mind boggling as I’m already on the account and not even opening a new account. Such a turn off. I’d rather open an account with a credit union as you suggested.
Chef Adrienne, nuff respect to you!!! You are such a humble God fearing man. Alyssa and the kids are so blessed to have you as their provider and protector. Big up to Mommy for raising a God fearing humble man. Peace, blessings, much and continued success!!!
JAMAICA is behind. They have nothing in place for Jamaican residents who live overseas. I spent 2 days at a cable company just to connect the cable and wi fi at my house. I have to be paying this bill every month, simply because I waste two days out of vacation each time I visit JA at FLOW. Wise words in terms of setting a foundation in JA. All the best on that journey
That was divinely done as brother, the Master of all creation relocated my family and I back home to Jamaica from the US also to start a homestead in Portland. Big up Fam keep following the voice of the Great Shepherd!
Love the reasonings Adrian. Jamaica tough, and only the strongest people will servive. Words are powerful 🙏 not just car but house is expensive to buy as well. Jamaicans living here don't have it easy, and when you go overseas to try and make a few $$ to thier name and come back with the intentions to do good and build, rejection from the bank left, right, and center. So true, they need to put things in place for residents aboard.
I am so excited for Jahmier, he will have a great time in Jamaica.....playing marbles, climbing trees and going to the river will be memories that will never be forgotten......enjoy
Thank you fi loving Jamaica and moving back to help the country grow we need our authentic Jamaicans to stay here have them beautiful patwah and culture and nice vibes 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
What about moving back to be with his children. I don't know how old they are but all the stories being told about parents leaving their kids and then the kids become sad because the parent is not there to give them support.
Congratulations my brother 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’m very happy that you persevered and came out victorious 💪🏿🤙🏿 I know all the hassle you’ve been through I can relate. It’s very irritating to know that our island treat us as if we are strangers when we go back for business. It’s like they’re punishing you for migrating.. there is an easier process but the hands on experience that you have obtained I’m sure is more retainable than someone showing, cause that you will never forget. I’m a subscriber to your cooking channel but just stumbled across your vlog channel. I’m happy for you and I’m proud of you with your purchase and they way you cater to your family. I wish you and your family a safe and happy vacation and loads more of achievements. Blessings 🇯🇲🇨🇦🙏🏿💫
I agree with you 100 % I was in J.A few months ago n I went to the bank from 9;30 am to almost 2pm before the close at 2pm and I still did not get through to receive my own money ,but my plan the next time go I'm closing that account. It a modern time now, and still jamaica you have to spend the whole day to get your business done.
Congratulation Chef Adrian Morris on achieving and surpassing this new milestone in your life, and the car pretty too!😁 You are an inspiration and a fine example of a strong and loving husband and father. Keep pushing and stay blessed.🙏🏿👍
Amazing. Jamaican banking system does need to improve on their process. May God bless you and keep you. I applaud you for acknowledging that God made the way possible for you and your family. Stay blessed
Real talk! Establish yourself back home. When I was moving from Jamaica I was told multiple time sell the car I didn't for the same reason when me come Jamaica me have something to move round. Also a house is important dont need to pay rent or hotel when I am home. Thank God for a supporting husband.I am proud of your mindset and you will reach far set yourself a yard like how you set yourself abroad. Respect turn up for you Adrian 💯 🙏.
Adrian congratulation on been home. I loved the bond you have with your mother which is a blessing. Adrian you are super talented, and you could do anything you want to in Jamaica. Shop around there are a lot of opportunities in Jamaica to be achieve. You are a great cook, and you know Jamaican products are in high demand all over the World you can create your own sauce , seasonings etcs. You have to think outside the box. I have a nephew who lives abroad, has a family and manage a business in Jamaica. With the sophistication of the l phones, and cameras in various business places, you will do well. You are very intelligent, and you know what you want out of life. I am so happy for you , and wish you and your family all the best. You Mom needs her own cooking show. Keep Up The Cook Work . Blessings.
Congratulations Adrian, your the true definition of a man and leader. Nuff man go foreign and forget their kids here in ja much more to come back and set a foundation for them. I have mad respect for you, I'm new to your family channel but I subscribe to your cooking channel. You've got my support always!! Wish you all the best with any and everything you do. Nuff love and blessings.
Bro, I have been in Canada since the 70’s I have the same sentiments. I DON’T want to be stuck in a country where I am locked up in a house! I have decided to make Jamaica my home and Canada my vacation home. I have been a Canadian Citizen since November 1980. Nuh weh nuh betta dan yaad. 🇯🇲🇨🇦
I so respect your outlook on life and wanting your son to experience what you did. Many times we shield our children from the very things that made us who we are: strong, responsible, having respect, confidence, tenacity, appreciation for hard work, trust/praise God etc. and instead of preparing them for the future, we prepare the future for them. Your son has such a solid foundation to emulate. For a young man, you have my respect 🙏
Wow Heather, I love your comment about the parents who in error do this to their kids '...instead of preparing them for the future we prepare the future for them.'
Jamaica system too slow when you go to the bank their it’s a hold day ting, if you trying to open a bank account they asking for so much paper work I just walk away, best bank to join is credit union, they won’t ever close your account, while scotiabank, close account with money in it lol and NCB
@@jahmallajaima yes Jamaica have credit union bank, I have account their for decades now best bank, even if you don’t put money in it for 10 years credit union don’t close your account are take your money
I understand how Jamaica makes things unnecessary hard. I'm a permanent resident in the US and I have similar experience. I bought a used vehicle myself and I built a house there, but is having a lot of second thought
It has been a while since sharing in the comment section but had to make the time for this comment. Yes, I saw when you landed an ting but so busy (me). I give this video 100% of my support. You hit every single nail on the head with the comparison with yaad and abroad. There are so many points go could agree and share but yuh dun know the space and time. Welcome home!!! You did the right thing in sorting fam ahead of time great route in securing your car. So proud of you. Never give up and keep sharing with us. Fingers crossed for you and fam in attaining a bigger home space. Continue giving God thanks. Big up yourself. Can't wait to see the fam in Jam and you and Jham making memorable memories. Safe travels on yaad gravel.
Give HIM the glory because, through HIM, all things are possible!!! What an amazing journey and an admirable one if I might add. You are the epitome of STRENGTH, RESILIENCE, DETERMINATION....the list goes on. I remember when I first came across your channel, years ago----you've definitely come a long way 🙏🏽🙏🏽. I'm happy but more importantly excited to be a part of this journey with you and your family. I'm proud of you!!! P.S. Hellshire beach is a place to visit. Not necessarily for the beach (😫), but for the seafood!!! Respected and highly favoured 🙌🏾
Yes he really does come a far way I use to talk what I need to do it don’t work out even my own mom and siblings talk me out of what I need to do so you know what I start to stop talk and get a journal and write and when it come to pass I cross it out and move to the next and when my other siblings and family member see things a gone them start yap yap them mouth I stay far from them not not even know where am living I support my children in whatever I like or look to do and they are doing great i give the a journal each and tell them put it in it and tell no one when I come to pass the watchers will see with their eyes this is my cent
Like wow! You're such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others. God bless and continue to keep you and your family towards your Jamaican Summer and all endeavours to come. Congratulations on every milestone you've achieved thus far. I don't get to comment on every video you may post, but once given the opportunity, I take time to listen like a podcast while I'm working or on break. You always keep my mind ticking on how better I can improve and better myself as a young person. You amaze me of the way you think, in terms of certain decisions you make as a young person. Thanks for sharing various aspects of your life and your family, and I'm in total agreement about when you share your achievements after you've seen them to fruition, that's very wise of you. You are humble, thankful to God for & in every aspect of your life, and always selfless, to your family and your followers. Those videos you share, definitely encourage and help others, including myself, along our own journeys.
Good move Chef, sorry you had to go through that difficult process, Jamaica really needs to do better and put things in place to accommodate investment in the country. Congrats on the addition to your portfolio 😊👍. Keep achieving. Bless up uself 🙏🙏
Respect to you Morris. I always love your cooking videos. I admire how spiritual you are and that you are family oriented, and remember where you’re coming from. Continue to stay humble and God will send down the blessing more and work things out in your favor. Love how you inform and encourage us! 🙏🏽👍🏽
Good info brother, this is Dee, Mark's brother, good move you make, when the pandemic hit I moved to JA, best decision I could have ever made. Back in Canada now for a little bit still.
Good morning all, Morris I cant begin to tell you how proud I am of you, your a young man doing what myself and my husband has done in the past, but I just love all your content and how you want to share your story to help others, BIG CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW CAR, 🥳🥳 It will definitely help your family to feel more comfortable when they come to visit 🇯🇲🇯🇲 No more TAXI
Congratulations 🎉 You remind me so much of my brother.Family man!!You deserve all the goodness that has come to you and that you are about to receive. Blessings
Thank you, thank you. This info is so important to know. Because I too tried to to open an account in Jamaica while here in Canada and could not do it. I found Jamaica make it difficult for their own people and easier for foreigners to their country. Yes Jamaica needs to do better.
Greetings mi “G”. Mi know bout salt fish 🐟 chicken 🐓 foot and all a dat!! I hit that like button before watching the video, just so you know. A so mi rate you. May Jah guide and protect you and the family. You have given me encouragement to do something in Jamaica 🇯🇲 because trust me, I’ve given up long ago due to how things run compared to here in the U.S. I’m truly happy for you!!!
First time watching your channel love love love how authentic you are and showing that there is still hope being back in Jamaica...I too advise others to travel and experience a foreign country...but WE need to do our part and help in that building up , to make Jamaica the place we wish it to be while also accepting that it is NOT the first world country we compare it to.
I have watched your cooking channels a few times and I always hear and see you and your family. And now you're in Jamaica and I was thinking, (oh my goodness me, he leaves his wife and family after he got his landing like what a lot of Jamaican men does?!?!😢😢😢but now you have Clair in the air, I am so happy that that's not been the case. Praise God!!! I have never been this happy about a family like I do about you and that your family!!!! I am so happy that you're not like a male scorpion🦂 which means, making a family and running away and leaving them after they get all what they wanted!!! Again, thank You Lord, he is a family man!!!
Looking forward to seeing you and the family going to different waterfalls. Go to Bath and do the real outdoor treatment in the hills. Beach of course, eating the Jamaican fruits that you cannot get in Canada.
I am a new subscriber I lived in Canada also I respect you so much and the reason is you never forget where you came from..keep up the good work and keep uplifting yourself blessings.
I have been living in the USA for 53 years. I retired in 2013 & have been thinking of moving back to Jamaica, however after numerous visits I am hesitant to make that move because of the backwards way the banks operate..I am still sitting on the fence not sure about that move! Move your money out of that bank that denied you the loan!
I joined CNB here in Miami in 1983, in 1989 I went fr a loan to buy a bigger house as I was selling the 1 I BOUGHT in 1981, they wd not lend me. I went to another bank where I had no account n they lent me, I never mssed 1 payment n paid off, I still do business w/them up to this day. The first bank is calling if I want to borrow or know anyone who does I said 'No thanks' n told them y. Most of the banks in Ja is so unfair, it's discouraging.
I feel the same way when the pandemic hit I was sad and depressed for 2yrs I stayed for a month and I can't wait to go back I feel free when I was there enjoy your time jamaica may be difficult but it nice
very nice man and may the good lord keep blessing you, I received the first time when you went back to Jamaica,,and u did color your hair,,watch u go and paint your Dad grave your mom and family,,I pray that God keep blessing you and family 👪,,,,
Congratulations on your achievement!!! Thanks for sharing your experience. I myself learned the hard way not to tell ppl your move until it’s made regardless if it’s family….. bad energy stifle it
Adrian congratulations 🎊 👏 on your new family vehicle in Jamaica. Can't wait to see the family vacation vlogs. Jahmier will be so excited. Bless up yourselves Morris family. 🇨🇦
Well we'll. I worked in the health sector for years in Jamaica. My father bought me my first car,. I sold it and wanted a loan for an upgrade. The bank refused my application initially and said my salary couldn't afford me the requested portion. Long and short, the bank manager reviewed my request and granted me the loan. I bought my car, repaid my loan before the time now the bank wants to lend me more. They kept calling that I am now qualified for 3.5 million and I never ever had requested a million at that time, It's too funny
It isnot only in Jamaica but basically all Caribbean countries do the same. It is simply a system that is in place that has an attitude towards people who live abroad and have that entrepreneurship energy to reinvest at home. The system doesn’t want it happening but sir keep that strong spirit and they could never keep you down . RISE UP Caribbean people RISE UP
Adrian so proud of you and your journey I too been in Jamaica since March battling almost the same struggles building a house hoping to live in Jamaica majority of the time but it's been a struggle like you've said with the banks, taxi, even a trip to the supermarket. Very nice car, beautiful interior. This will be my next purchase but wanted to get close finishing the house first . I have been following your journey for atleast 4yrs and really am happy for you and your wife. Much love and blessings to you and the family. 🌺❤️💕🇯🇲
I'm overseas and I'm building in Jamaica, can you guys tell me where I can buy roofing that is not too expensive. Ive roofed the entire house but it left one room and my goodness if I told you the prices fir the material, you'd be shock. Also to roof one room in jamaica it's 80, 000 Jamaican dollars. The man did it in less than 3 days.
@@tweetyslife253 not sure about the roofing I decked my roof because plan to add a second story. Yes everything is so expensive after going through this process of building I wish I would have just bought a finished structure in a gated community or scheme. Good luck in your building endeavors I am frustrated daily by this process and the prices increase every 48,hrs so if you see something you like at a decent price but it them and store it especially if you have the place to keep it. Plus depending on which parish you're in the price varies it seems everything in Portland is twice the price of any other Parish
@@mooreflava thanks bridgette. i did deck the first floor and my goodness , i roofed nearly the entire house and now just for a big room the lumber and the materials for the roofing takes so much, three times the price in europe.
It's very important that people know this. I'm super proud to be a Jamaican, and I love most things in my country. But some things have to change the system is really bad and they have to really and truly do better 💯
Good day Morris you are a inspiration to a lot of us I've been in the United States for a good while and I've been through most of what you are saying but thanks be to God am now a citizen of the United States and build my credit and doing better for my children and help others who need my help but it didn't come easy and it took a long time for me to get to where I am now to God be the glory 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations in achieving your goals. Perseverance is the key to success. Oh yes, Jamaica needs to do much better when dealing with residents who live overseas. You may want to look into getting a piece of heavyweight plastic and a couple of milk crates to carry coconut and other items in the car trunk. It's has saved me the hassle of detailing my vehicle after carrying sod, plants etc. May God bless you richly as you strive in all your endeavors. Thanks for sharing. Respect to you, your mom and family.
The minister of finance needs to first provide a SENSIBLE explanation to the CITIZENS of Jamaica, who just happen to have a foreign address, why they are treated with such disrespect, if/ when try try to do business with one of the excuse for financial institutions in the country of their birth. If you think it’s bad being denied a loan…imagine being denied the opportunity to open a savings account and put honestly earned money INTO a Jamaican bank, to open a savings account, on the grounds that I was not currently employed(because I had resigned from my work shortly prior to that)…even tho I could show proof of regular paychecks coming from an employer and electronically deposited into my foreign accounts for MANY years. So if you worked for many years abroad and saved the money your earned…and then decide you want to use some of that honestly earned money to open a SAVINGS account in Jamaica, expect to face the possibility of spending half the day on line (some of it even waiting outside 🙄), only to be rejected by TWO different banks. I went from feeling shocked, to feeling angry, and now I just feel a deep sense of embarrassment mixed with DISGUST, that the land of my birth is being run with such arrogance, stupidity, sloppiness, and financial negligence.
Soon move back home....pandemic teach me a lesson...tough or rough i will have come and face my challenges...going with God in my top pocket...respect my bother❤❤❤
Young man you are inspiration to many of us your strong determination pays off your family will benefit from your hard work you are a real Man that is not afraid to take on anything life throws at you keep up the Good work Gid Bless you and your beautiful family
First I must say Congrats I am so proud of you and wish you all the best ! Dude I understand the foreign struggle , I too have been through the struggle so I know what time it is and you right about Jamaica needing to do better and help entrepreneurs ,who are trying to do business in Jamaica! You seems like a very ambitious and determining person and you will make it because you are on the right path ,continue to keep the faith ! Good luck 👍🏿
MR MORRIS RESPECT AS A YOUNG MAN JUST SEE YOU VIDEO YOUR GRANNIE HERE LIFT HER HAT TO YOU WISHING YOU GOD'S RICHEST BLESSINGS BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HOME AND ABROAD
Thanks for sharing Adrian 👏👏🙌🏿.. You think them make it hard for You?? Imagine us living out here ! It’s a nightmare, it’s terrible as an entrepreneur, it’s a mess smh . As a regular working class citizen it’s a mess !
Congratulations!🎊 What an achievement for you and the family. Love how remain humble and use your journey as teachable moments for others in similar situations. Big up yourself 👊🏾👏🏾
True thing you talking about for this whole video. I also don’t like sharing about what I am working on so people can talk negatively about it. I learned that the hard way too. Banks in Jamaica are slow. I can’t stand them and it annoys me. If you have a bank account in Jamaica from you are a child maintain it as it is hard to open one in Jamaica at this time. Thank you for telling us about the loan process in Jamaica, never realize a suh dem hard to Jamaicans who live overseas. Hope you and the family have a great summer in Jamaica
Man thanks for sharing your information. I visit every year and I have an account that I started when I used to live there. So when I go to the bank that account is still there and I tried to end it because they were giving me such a hard time but I’m glad I did not cancel it and so it’s working for me when I go back-and-forth so you’re right if you have an account or even as a child keep that account active put some money in it because it’s another thing they’ll shut it down if you don’t have money going in and then it takes a long time to get it up again so keep it active OK
Happy for you Morris, nice car too!I love that you were talking about us,that we have to wake up after covid. It was hard and that's when I was thinking that we have to have sumn there. I told my relatives and friends the same thing some really do and few might not want to but that's our home. I am just praying for peace and hope to retire in my forever land we love. I hope you will bake a potato pudding on coal or wood fire if your family will like it
I pray that God guides you on your journey Morris 🙏🙏🙏 You have your head screwed on right, therefore whatever you do will be a success. Blessings to you and family each and every time 🙏🙏🙏
It a blessing to hear that Jamaicans want to come home but my advice to you all is :if you can afford it buy a house in a community that you are not from buy it,why? Most time when you are from a community, leave and come back, people think that you owe them something. If you live somewhere else then you avoid all of that and might be able to enjoy the money that you work so hard for over the years.
So true
Facts

So true its so hard 😫

I have done the same return back. After 50 years I travel out sometimes.
SVOTIA IS KNOWN FOR STEALING MONIES FROM ACCOUNTS....
Proud of you young man. Greetings from london. You will reach your goal. Stay safe. Big up yourself. One love.❤❤
I lift my hat to you young man that you decided to move back home to Jamaica based on your personal conviction. You've closed your ears to the naysayers and the doom and gloom people who discredit and discouraged people to return. You are not alone. Stay strong and stay positive. Did you get Dip. ? As no one leave their wife and kids as a man.
The best place in the world to lived is Jamaica. Respect bro am in the UK and am looking to move back to my home Jamaica.
You’ve hit the nail on the head that Jamaicans, makes it really hard for it’s own Jamaican people to strive
Should take a leaf out of how the Asian and Chinese culture because they support and help each other and that is how they succeed.
The risk to the bank would be too high. I understand their point.
Don’t take it personal. The bank must measure the risk.
Well that sounds really stupid they need to get a clue and start helping their own people. good luck to you friend God bless you and all the Jamaicans
Congratulations to you and your family! However, move in silence don’t show too much for your safety. Always love you and your videos. Stay safe
@Wyndell Ferron OMG what do mean by that??
True
Don't show too much!
Congratulations 🎉👏🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@Patricia Carter true dat, MOVE IN SILENCE

You’re a very wise young man. Credit cards are useful, just make sure you pay the balance in full every month. Don’t pay interest. Carry a zero balance, gain the points. Those points can buy a plane ticket. Nice car! Congratulations!
I made sure that whenever I make a purchase I make sure I pay my bill in FULL every billing cycle.
U should have your own money to buy your car u are coming from away.
It's a shame, I didn't know that they make it so hard for returnees. The government need to put things in place for Jamaicans abroad who want to invest and build back the country.
I've been saying this!!! Yes👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Vote IUC and all that will change. The system is set up to kill the returnees with tax.
Too much jesus worshiping
@@haloking1988 exactly that’s the main issue…
Proud of you my jamaican brother. Keep pushing

God bless you continue to do you
Hi Mi Chef friend!
You need to meet Errol Stevens..... you and him love to share and you can link up and make jamaica 🇯🇲better
I agree
I give thank for you don't give God will see you true
Hello there I am also making the move back after 37years....It feel right..it feels good to be home...I am learning to adjust to it all ...It is tranquil...peaceful...calming..exactly what I need in my life now...we can all live with a lot less than we want to believe....a whole lot less.....
Same thing with me. I left when I was 7 also grew up in New York. 45 now and if it wasn't for my son, I would pack up and leave too and head back to st bess. Bless up!
Bless wish and happy retirement

New subscriber. 🇯🇲 based in the 🇺🇸 .Very inspirational video. I totally agree that Jamaica needs to upgrade their banking system. I tried to open a savings account in JA, it took me months. The same is true for investment accounts. They ask for your entire life story. Here in the US, it takes less than 1 hr to open a bank account.
Here in Canada as well. I can open a bank account online in a few minutes. Even if I have to go into a bank, it not taking the entire day to open it.
Scotiabank has a system where you go through the account opening pain once and after that, if you sign up for internet banking, you can open your own accounts online.
@@mnqolivia Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out.
@@KevinTheFoodExplora You are welcome. Best wishes.
@@angellewhyte7731 I used JPS credit Union in Kingston

VMBS( Victoria Mutual Building Society) is a really great bank in Jamaica to have an account. And for returning residents as well!
Yes VMBS is great 👍

This young man is going please, hes got a good heart ❤❤
JAMAICA is behind. They have nothing in place for Jamaican residents who live overseas. I spent 2 days at a cable company just to connect the cable and wi fi at my house. I have to be paying this bill every month, simply because I waste two days out of vacation each time I visit JA at FLOW. Wise words in terms of setting a foundation in JA. All the best on that journey
That was divinely done as brother, the Master of all creation relocated my family and I back home to Jamaica from the US also to start a homestead in Portland. Big up Fam keep following the voice of the Great Shepherd!
VMBS is a great great bank. Customer service is 💯. Never had any issues with then. Always supportive of overseas Jamaicans and locals alike.

Yes, but The shooting of birds part could be skipped, as the bird population appears to have been depleted in most locations, just like the fisheries.
