My son graduated at the same time as you, also engineering. He also moved away, thankfully not as far. I'm sure you understand, but I hope you know how much your Father appreciates your time in the shop when you are home.
When you were moving the board around at the end I realized that people back in the 60’s would really freak out looking at them. 😵💫 They turned out great. I never knew what it took to make one with that pattern. Doing 2 at once was definitely a time saver.
It moves me to tears to see a father and son enjoying being together and creating something special together. I envy what they have so much because my dad never wanted to spend any of his time with me. Anyone who has this type of relationship with their dad is so lucky. It changes who you become. But I'm happy for anyone who gets it.
I have to admit after watching so many videos of you building the speedster this didn't excite me.. until I watched it. Great job mate you nail absolutely everything you do!
I appreciate each and everyone of your videos. I also think that there is not enough people like you in the planet. Keep going, and enjoy the process. Thanks to your parents too.
Ok I already had to come to terms with you being a better mechanic/fabricator than me now I have to make peace with you being a better wood worker too. Great video!! 👍🏻👍🏻
you and your dad seems to have this kind of friendship like father/son best friend mentor style. this is priceless. never take any day for grantet.... I had this kind of relationship withy gramps back in the day.... when he passed away, I was sad for any day I missed with him. But I was also super thankfull for all those days we had together. Long story short: you and your dad are really cool dudes;-)
Very nice, exceptional design. I’d have put in a gutter around the periphery and a hand hold grove on opposing edges… yeah I know I’ll do that on the one I make. This reminds me of my wife saying, “never ask an engineer to make anything, because it becomes a big damn deal!”
Ahhh yes the cutting board , my first one was in freshman year of high school wood shop we made pig shaped cutting boards out of white oak , mom finally tossed it in the fire place some thirty years later 😄, I must admit that optical gimmick “ seems like totally cali dude “ ! 😂👍
The pattern is total optical madness, it disrupts depth perception. I'm scared to even think about putting my fingers near a knife! I wish you all the luck!
Beautiful! Nice work! Now then... ... ... could you please engineer batteries and fast charging so that a Tesla can out run a Yugo in a cross country race. Can't wait to see the roadster at cars n coffee. Enjoy the weather out west.
I personally would have done it in the opposite direction, meaning having the smaller squares in the middle and the larger squares out at the corners; just so that you can avoid having all those smaller pieces exposed to the outside, so they aren't so prone to falling off or breaking off. You guys are sure putting a lot of trust in that glue. lol... It looks great though
Those are two perfect cutting boards BUT I would be afraid to use them for two reasons 1.) they are more of a work of art and I would hate to chop on them and make cuts on the board it self. 2.) that pattern you did Is a master piece but it looks like it could be a bit dizzying, seams to have a 3D effect, I would not want to be dizzy when working with a knife lol...
At this point I'm convinced that MacroMachine's dad sees his son as his hero and waits excitedly to join him in the shop to spend time with him.
to be fair
if your son has acomplished so much while being so young,
making a car, wood working,
iirc isnt this the guy who's a damn rocket scientist?
Pretty sure it's a mutual admiration society.
My son graduated at the same time as you, also engineering. He also moved away, thankfully not as far. I'm sure you understand, but I hope you know how much your Father appreciates your time in the shop when you are home.
i hope my kids stay with me for as long as possible, but on the other hand i would be proud as hell the day that they start their own lives
Wow! Great pattern, props to your dad for the great job he did teaching you invaluable skills.

same thought its very complex

I’ve never been able to do that.
LOL, when "10 minutes" of thinking turns into a 4 day project. Love the end product.
I have to admit after watching so many videos of you building the speedster this didn't excite me.. until I watched it. Great job mate you nail absolutely everything you do!
great skills fella - bet your dad loved having you around to get these made
I'm guessing the optical illusion was an accident? Haha. Very cool.
Amazing cutting boards, but even cooler to get to do that with your Dad
😎
As allways, all you're doing is simply amazing, great job. More of these father and son projects! 👍👍👍 Greetings from Germany.
That custom pushbar is brilliant.
The cuttingboards turned out crazy amazing. Fun to se you and your father doing this together.
With access to those workshops I’d never be leaving home!.
Memories like that will last you a lifetime.
I appreciate each and everyone of your videos.
I also think that there is not enough people like you in the planet.
Keep going, and enjoy the process.
Thanks to your parents too.
Great job, they look like pillows from some directions...
👍👍👍
Great job! There is a lot of precise work to get those boards to come out so well. Very nicely equipped wood shop too.
Ok I already had to come to terms with you being a better mechanic/fabricator than me now I have to make peace with you being a better wood worker too. Great video!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Everything you do gets top results ⭐
Absolutely wonderful on so many levels. Love the patterns even though they hurt my eyes LOL.
That’s amazing! Such a great family heirloom
Spending time building with my sons is more important than what were doing. They may not see at the time, but they figure it out.
a great dad has a great shop(s).
The cutting boards turned out absolutely fantastic, you are very talented, thanks for the video. 👍
So not only u do have a professional metal shop at home, but also a woodworking one 🥺
Amazing project and amazing skills mate

Wow! They turned out beautiful!!!
Beautiful work another Job well done glad to see a post from you
WOW! Nice job..... I love it.
very nice. would make a great looking shop floor. just make a bunch of these and use them as tiles, like a giant parquet floor.
Very nice, exceptional design. I’d have put in a gutter around the periphery and a hand hold grove on opposing edges… yeah I know I’ll do that on the one I make. This reminds me of my wife saying, “never ask an engineer to make anything, because it becomes a big damn deal!”
fantastic little project again. beautiful end result. cheers!
That is TOO COOL!!!
Those turned out great. Enjoy them for many years to come
My eyes hurt!!! 😍

I made my first one in 7th grade wood shop. I have no idea what ever happened to it.
That pattern's hurting my head, which just goes to show how cool it is
this made me cry
Looks awesome, nice work lads!
They look great 👍
Now you need an early Porsche 928!
Absolutely fantastic!!
That is very cool looking
Fantastic job!
Nice work, and a very nice thing(things) to have, and know that you made it with your own hands.
When is your Dad going to start his channel?
Very very impressive. Not the usual material for this channel, but entertaining anyway.
Excellent video! Doing it with your made it even better!! Thanks for your videos!
man, those are too nice to use.
That board you held up at the end give me vertigo
Awesome!
very cool.
Not a roadster, but still pretty damn cool. Side note, don't be inebriated while watching this one! Pretty awesome idea though. One on each coast!
Cool but alot of work into it, but the results are great and having them as a project you and dad it is cool 👍🏽🤙
This boards are nice, a get dizzy watch them👍😎
The pattern is total optical madness, it disrupts depth perception. I'm scared to even think about putting my fingers near a knife! I wish you all the luck!
Fine work!
More great work, man! 👌
A small blood groove around the outside would help when cutting meat or juicy veggies....looks great
Superb!
Man those look awesome
Fantastic. Have you any limitations to your laments
Many skills............
Wonderful end result!
Very cool! I noticed you laid them out in a dopler wave.
That's cool!
Wonderful, be careful cutting on those the pattern will make you dizzy...lol
Beautiiful resulting pattern, stunning!
Welcome back !
Looks like a porsche 928 seat upholstery pattern.
Great work but a finishing touch would be a metal band round the outside just to prevent any expansion...
Beautiful work.
I put bee's wax and mineral oil. You will not have to treat it as much.
Thats awesome. Next level would be to get the pattern on the sides as well :D
❤️❤️❤️❤️
nice visual effect
What's the background story behind all those great tools you guys have?
Beautiful! Nice work! Now then... ... ... could you please engineer batteries and fast charging so that a Tesla can out run a Yugo in a cross country race. Can't wait to see the roadster at cars n coffee. Enjoy the weather out west.

Same pattern as some Porsche seat fabrics from the 70s
*The forbidden chess table*
ps: you should do a wood patern for the boat tail interior shift stick console or the speedometer!
Cool 🍻🇨🇦👨🏭
Should enter in state fair.
wow... those boards messes with my brain lolllll
Those are two perfect cutting boards BUT I would be afraid to use them for two reasons
1.) they are more of a work of art and I would hate to chop on them and make cuts on the board it self.
2.) that pattern you did Is a master piece but it looks like it could be a bit dizzying, seams to have a 3D effect, I would not want to be dizzy when working with a knife lol...
Porsche Pasha fabric of the 80's - very cool!
4:53 That loose sleeve in the close proximity of the blade looks really risky.
that chopping board is nice but i could never use it that pattern messes with my eyes
That's a sweet set of cutting boards! And what a set of woodworking tools! Is you dad a carpenter or cabinet maker or just a hobby shop?
Just wondering, are you by any chance related with a certain Nik Blackhurst?😂 Wow, what a piece of art!
Very cool cutting boards!! I discovered watching this video that I smoke way too much pot!!!
A cutting board to cut up what? Bloody Humans? Look at the size of them 👁️👁️🤯
I live in pacific northwest in Oregon
How are y’all
A little concerned about the shirt sleeve while ripping strips, otherwise 👍
Quite possibly the most psychedelic thing I’ve ever seen on UA-cam.
