Tips to use anti-dandruff shampoo

Dandruff usually occur due to a build-up of dead cells on the scalp and over growth of a yeast called Malassezia.
How to make sure your anti dandruff shampoo would work for you?
1️⃣First of all, Opt for the right ingredients. 2% ketoconazole zinc pyrithione, 2% selenium sulfide or ciclopirox are the ingredients to look out for.
2️⃣Secondly, Do not just wash your hair with anti-dandruff shampoo. You have to allow it to soak into the scalp. So take a cap of it. Add a few drops of water. And rub it into your scalp just as you apply oil and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Then get into the shower and rinse it, you may use your regular shampoo conditioner over and about it.
3️⃣Third, you have to be consistent.
1-2 washes are not enough. You may have to use this for about 6-8 weeks. If your dandruff persists, you may be having an inflammatory disorder like psoriasis, sebopsoriasis etc.
So, consult with your dermatologist.
