The one were he’s like “the left eyes blink before the right if you’re gay” then winks with his left when he tries to look is classic and funny
Which episode was that? Cause it was funny
@@TheCRAZYAunt128 season 1, episode 3 "
"The Reaper's Helper""
Was he trying to be funny?
@@dinakruchina6415 Episode 4, I just checked because i don't remember that one but it tracks.
Logan hitting that kid with a trash can lid is one of the best moments of season 1
It was really
I could watch that 100 times
Never gets old.
& 1 of the oldest tricks in the book 2. U know that?
I seen this since I was seven years old
Now they're made of plastic so that wouldn't work.
It's too bad Greevy didn't last more than one season. He was one of my favorites
That's because his actor George Dzundza was under the impression that his character was supposed to be the star of the show. When he realized that Law & Order was more an ensemble show, his contract was never renewed for season 2.
Kinda sad too. Greevey always played a great foil to Logan's hot headedness and rash decision making.
Also, he was living in LA at that time and the show was being filmed in new york. So he used to travel back and forth which was tiring.
If you've seen the film basic instinct, george dzundza plays a detective in that who is partners with Michael douglas. His character in that is similar to the role he played on law and order.
Same here!
He quit the show. Biggest career mistake of his life.
Greevey and Logan had such great chemistry -- such contrasting characters and yet made such a great team. There were other great team-ups subsequently but these two were my favourite.
Man!, I forgot that Samuel L. Jackson appeared as a defence attorney in one of the S1 episodes.
a SHIELD movie was made when in the early 1990s, Michael Moriarty would have made a great Phil Coulson.
Did Jackson "put a cap in the knee" of the ADA to teach him some manners?
@@ponygon777I saw that movie; the one with David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury, right? It stayed reasonably close to the source material, except that the HYDRA personnel were like something out of the 1966 Batman tv series.
Samuel L Jackson appeared in Law and Order, man no wonder the show is awesome and can have special guest appearances in episodes of the show. One day I'm gonna get the entire box set to binge watch.
@@theghoultaker7624 In regards to L&O DVD boxsets start with the S1 boxset, lots of great episodes.
Love that little "dance" they do
between 8:25 - 8:29...😁🕺
They might not be cool but silkie a fool... 😉
@@pandagodesu ~ 👍😉🎶
Yeah, very funny
😂😂😂
The one with Mike Logan with the garbage can lid was classic
Yeah it was
Like watching an animated cartoon on that scene. "CLANG!!" Classic!
5:23 CAN!
😆
Thought about the gun decided against it and used the trash can lid and the kid's black and I think all of America knows about the whole thing between cops and black kids and people in my opinion I don't care what color skin you have you're human regardless and should be treated like any other human would with respect
Season One was the best season of Law & Order
It’s too bad the behind the scenes drama was such that we didn’t get more than one season of Greevey and Logan. They were terrific
What behind the scenes drama?
@@LexisTheRueKid "drama" might be a little strong, but George Dzudza got the impression from his agent that he was going to be the star of the show and felt that the lawyers got all the best material. He also was flying in and out from LA to shoot and got tired of it
Jared Hannsohn looks like it was shot in new york
@@bigyay3372 It was. He lived in LA.
Jared Hannsohn ah makes more sense
I love Mikes sense of humor
The acting was so on point.
The first few seasons of "Law&Order" (1-5) represent pure classic television. Never duplicated but often (badly) copied. Plus seeing Samuel L. Jackson, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Aida Turturro and others early in their careers was a treat as well!
"There are prettier men in the can than my sistah"
To be fair this was arguably the golden age of the Law and Order franchise. Like there are light moments like Greeley and Logan dancing at 8:27 instead of the constant drama and darkness that we see today. They need moments like these to lighten up the darkness in a way (especially on SVU)
Totally agree 👍
Greevey and Logan with Cragen = best Law and Order squad!
With Briscoe and Green in close second.
Paul Sorvino and Logan were pretty good
Thanks for reminding how much I love Greevy & Logan! I was majoring in criminal justice during two seasons, it made the show more fun. Several of us had watch parties to find errors. 😂
The first five seasons of this show, when New York was still gritty, were by far and away the best show, it’s not even close. When Logan left the show died nothing ever got close again, SVU, no other franchise, got close. Heads and shoulders better than the rest.
For example the New York at 5:06 was a hold over from the 80s, New York was a rough character in the start of the show and as New York got nicer and nicer, abandoned lots got fixed, kids moved to the cities, white people bought black neighborhoods, the city transformed and once the city lost its grit the show did too.
i agree, i think that the state in which new york was at the time added a lot to the show, and i miss it a lot
Disagree, the days of L&O: CI with Mike Logan as the counterpart to Robert Goren were AWESOME television.
Logan and Curtis worked really well together.
I have to disagree with that a little. I watched L&O until the conclusion of Season 10, when Steven Hill left the show. Greevey and Logan were my second favourite duo next to Briscoe and Logan. Curtis wasn't too bad, and neither was Green.
Once Hill left and the character of Adam Schiff was gone, that's when the show changed. I couldn't watch it anymore after that point.
Early 90s In the UK, season one turned up on BBC One in the late hours around midnight, I watched every episode and was hooked. Since then, because Law & Order, SVU, and its other spin-offs never had regular TV slots in the UK, there are still literally hundreds of episodes to enjoy for the first time on various channels and streaming services. What a brilliant series of shows across 30 years. Thank you Dick Wolf and all the fantastic people involved, with a special nod to Dann Florek, a personal favorite across the decades.
Season 1-4, Logan, Briscoe, Cragen and Stone was the best tv, I want to go back to these times in New York
My Favorite Team Of The Original Law & Order, Sgt. Greevey & Det. Logan
Wow NYC sure has changed since 1990.
Yeah gentrification and advanced technology is the reason
@@eazy-cheez-e8033 They really cleaned the place up, didn't they? Shame they can't do the same for L.A.
@@ExplorerDS6789 well I mean they have in LA with a lot of redeveloping especially in south central neighbourhoods. But yeah compared to NY it hasnt changed a lot.
2:23 is that Samuel L Jackson? It looks and sounds just like him
Yep. That will be him. That is Samuel L Jackson.
@@MJBUA-camNetwork OMG he looks sooo young
The one and only.
yes it Samuel L Jackson
Ray W I did a double take too! It wasn’t until he spoke that I was sure.
I like the Old Law an Order, with Max and Logan and Lenny. Never cared for later episodes after 2006
I love these guys. Even after a few clips, I loved their shenanigans and teamwork
Raise your hand if you found them walking away dancing hysterical✋😅
✋
8:25
Back in those days, cops were a part of the community, this little scene captured that perfectly...
Sam Jackson didnt do much episodic tv before he became a big movie star. Then never again. Fun to watch this show in it's early years and see all the up and coming actors that went on to big careers or even just different roles on this show and it's many permutations.
Yes law & order was the stepping stone for alot of major actors and actresses, it was considered by alot of film makers that if they haven't been on law and order they would get side swiped , it's amazing how many there are that just play minor roles.
@@Dee-wz6nn The same could be said for NYPD Blue and Hill Street Blues, the latter having a Miami Vice connection to certain actors and writers.
The early years had such a different vibe.
lol at 5:12 the man’s handkerchief signals that there are cops around. Subtle but impressive touch
Daddy, Pookie's scared.. Pookie doesn't want to go to jail....
Oh my god, when I saw that episode, it made me pissed off and yet scared for that woman. She needed help.
My favourite team. But Dzundza didn’t want to live in NY at the time iirc. Funny how those actors were far from bffs, but it didn’t come across in their acting. Great those early years.
What do you mean?
@@mew10521the cast really didn’t like each other. A lot of strong personalities. But it didn’t affect their work. They were amazing
@@Subo23 I thought the 2 detectives didn't get along; also Dzundza didn't get along with the rest of the cast
Ah, so that’s what Fury was doing between Captain Marvel and Iron Man.
5:46 I didn't expect to see slapstick in Law & Order, but I ain't complaining. XD
😅
It's also a smart move the kid had a gun if Logan jumped out with his out the kid could have ended up dead with either Logan shooting him or Max if Logan had been shot.
0:45 Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Samuel L. Jackson in 1 episode. L&O is like a time capsule.
Greavy was a favourite of mine but love the original Law and Order! Wish they would play reruns on tv! So sad! 💙
Marcia Kurtz and David Kroh were amazing as Carla and Jacob Lowenstein....GREAT acting!
Agree! That episode still haunts me!
That was the first episode I watched. Riveting, always think of it if I ever see the actress in other shows.
Those rapping girls (at 7:56) and Greevey and Logan's reactions is HILLARIOUS !!! So lemme spit a lil rhyme: "Yo, bro. You friend or foe? Don't go. I'ma want my do!"
5:49 LOVE the trashcan lid bit:)
Classic lid to the face lol 🤣 lmao when I saw that
the wink i’m LAUGHING
I think Mike Logan had the most partners of anyone in the series!
I don't know about other detectives because I stopped watching after season 13 or so, but here are all the partners Logan had (I had no idea it was this many!):
27th Manhattan
Sgt. Max Greevey
Sgt. Phil Cerreta
Det. Lennie Briscoe
128th Staten Island Domestic Dispute
Det. Tony Boyer
Det. Frankie Silvera
1PP Manhattan Major Case Squad
Det. Carolyn Barek
Det. Megan Wheeler
Det. Nola Falacci
blf112761. Thanks for looking it up!
Finally realized where I've seen Greevey's actor he played ascended Anubis in the diner in Stargate: SG-1
They Are So Damn Funny😂😂😂 I Love There Dancing 8:25 !!!!
A very young Philip Seymour Hoffman.
And Gil Bellows
Sam Jackson lol
Absolutely one of my favourite teams on the show ever!
the stinebergs case riped straight from the headlines.
Except lisa wasn't molested by the Male didi was
They said that it wasn’t at the end of the episode
Exactly, obviously they change things just to stay away from being sued for credit rights but we know it was from that story.
Nice to see Janice Soprano helping the police.
this must've been before she met the guy in Montreal....
Holy crap so many great actors in ten minutes!
This is so raw and rustic... Loving it
Sammy!
Dang! Who WASN'T on this show?
TheBatugan77 me ...yet
@@jss8215 Well, SVU is still in production, they've also got Organized Crime and they even brought back the ORIGINAL. I'm sure if you go to New York and try to get a walk-on part, you probably could.
i’m in love 🥰 with Chris n ur smile oohhhh drives me crazy 😍😍💝💝
God how I adore that 16mm film noise from the celluloid. Wish they still shot it that way.
I love Law and Order! My greatest regret that I didn't join the Force!
Well, SVU is still on, and they just started Organized Crime. Of course, if you wanted to audition, you'd probably play a witness or a victim, as the criminals and detectives are reserved for seasoned actors.
"the force will be with you....always"
Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi

A Long Time ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away
Philip S Hoffman, Samuel L Jackson and Aida Turturo…. Awesome af
One of the best shows on tv
The more clips I see I this series the more I want to go watch this series
Ahh, the early 1990´s, what a great time i wish i could´ve been part of it.
7:55 was my favorite
La pareja original siempre sera la mejor, joder hermano, todos han tenido sus buenos momentos y temporadas, sea aquí o en SVU, L.A. CRIMINAL INTENT, no importa, pero la química de este par era increíble.
Greevy's face on 8:13 lmaooooooooo
I might actually subscribe to Peacock if they had these episodes available. The later ones were okay, but these early shows were the best.
I asked Peacock about the early seasons and they said that they rotate them.
I miss the early early Law & Order
The choice between lethal gun or non lethal garbage can. Gotta be Hollywood.
SLJ as the defense attorney...!
The best pairing by far. These two were excellent.
I cannot believe that Samuel L. Jackson was not ill-tempered and hot-tempered here. I love this franchise even if I wasn't born when this series started. 💕💕
It’s good seeing Anubis in his ascended form ding some good for the universe. Lolol
Are you gonna post scenes of Mike and Phil because I would love to see scenes of Logan with his other partners
How could anyone ever get anywhere on time with all that traffic
not an eminette I'm me see no in in me you cant...thats why we walk
@@jss8215 lol that makes sense then.. it would drive me nuts being in that crowded a city. I'm shocking even going to a market place or shopping at Christmas time. It's too stressful. When the shopping from home first came out I must admit I was like.. damn yanks are unbelievable.. I need to retract that thought because it's bloody fantastic. It's only when it's I like that item but what does it actually look like or trying to understand sizing because at times that can be shoddy from a pic.
I liked all the shows, but the earlier ones were more straight forward and not as over the top as the new ones. I know some say they have to in order to compete with cable networks but IDK I still think they stand the test of time.
7:46 What do you say to that Mike?
I say you’re under arrest😂
It’s fun to think this is what Big did before going into business.
Love these two!💙💜
The episode is so.old FedEx was still Federal Express.
wow, is that Samuel L. Jackson?! 😮😮
This show made me establish my 'Lenny Briscoe scale' as in if I ever do anything wrong I want this guy chasing me this much! Lenny is a 10 on there, he won't get you today, probably not tomorrow....but one day you will get up, walk into the kitchen to start the coffee makes AND LENNY WILL BE THERE WAITING! Greevey is another 10 on there won't quit, won't give up.... He chases you will GET GOT!!!
Janice soprano at 4:30!!!!
Si duda, la mejor pareja de toda la franquicia.
Mike and that fampus temper!!! LoL
@7:56-@8:29 was the best part 😂
Sin duda, una de las mejores parejas no de la serie, sino de toda la jodida franquicia.
5:47 - Perp just got canned.
Music was so good early on, very different.
Samuel Jackson!? MF! YES!
Is there anything that Samuel Jackson ISN'T in?
Chris Both, be still my heart!😍😍😍😗😘😄
Adele Ballard Noth
Love it
8:26 😂😂😂
Samuel L. Jackson was on Law & Order!
There was something about the look of NYC in those early seasons.
George Dzundza and Paul Sorvino were fools to quit this show after one season.
Their departures left the door open to Jerry Orbach's arrival.
@@trevonpernell0814 Ironically, Orbach auditioned for both of their roles beforehand, so third time was definitely the charm.
@@ExplorerDS6789 Yeah, I can't envision Jerry as either Max Greevey or Phil Cerreta. Orbach fits into Lennie Briscoe like fine wine.
@@trevonpernell0814 The thing about Law & Order is that the actors make the characters. It's a show where you can put so much of yourself into the characters, so if Orbach played Greevy or Cerreta, they would have been very different, much like if Dzundza and Sorvino played Briscoe.
@@ExplorerDS6789 Or if Sam Waterston played Ben Stone?
God I forgot Sam Jackson was a lawyer in the 1st season.

We're being cheated of these episodes not streaming on the Peacock app.😢💔

2:23 Ok is that a young Samuel L. Jackson because the minute I saw him it came to my mind. He looks like him he sounds like him. I know that Law & Order series always has Guest-Stars as law enforcement or criminals.
