    Fun story about Encanto: Disney execs also didn’t think Luisa was cool or pretty and got kinda blindsided by the high demand for Luisa merch. They expected little girls to like Isabela way more (which they didn’t, because she was kinda prickly for a big part of the movie). The animators also had to fight to keep Luisa’s body type, because she was not deemed conventionally pretty enough. Instead she turned out to be one of the most beloved characters on the cast. That dude couldn’t be more wrong, actually :D

    To defend NASA's tampon blunder, they're nerds. I work in a male dominated engineering field and 100% they went, "Well a period lasts 5-7 days and tampons need to be changed every 4-8 hours... let's say 8 days and every 4 hours as a worst case, that's 48 tampons. Double it for redundancy, so... is 100 enough?"

      Yep, and at least they made sure she had tampons. Also, nobody had ever had a period in space before so they wouldn't have known if it effected the flow at all, and if any of the tampons had somehow ended up being unusable for whatever reason they couldn't have gotten any more. Better safe than sorry.

      Yes, Im not from Bulgaria but from Hungary and we have a different kinda sexism here, where people DO belive women are made to be wives and mothers, but those proffessions are seen as respectable and difficult, while I get the impression that in the US sexists see women as bumbling idiots that are "only" good to be wives an mothers and they should be doing those things not because they are better at it than men, but because those are tiresome timewasting activities men are to valuable for. So people do respect women and mothers in that way here and if you badmouth women men tend to take it personally and it won't reflect on you favorably.

    Age of consent in the UK is 16, but its illegal for someone over 18 to have sex with someone under 18. People always mix up the two and it's annoying af

    • @malkuusha
      @malkuusha 2 місяці тому +24

      No man, it is legal. No one mixing up anything. That’s the whole thing about age of consent duh Otherwise it makes no sense.
      In the UK the age of consent is 16, which means it's legal for adults of any age to have consensual sex with a 16-year-old - provided they are not in a position of trust, such as their teacher.
      The age of consent is the age at which a person is considered to be legally competent to consent to sexual acts. If one person is 16, it doesn’t matter how older the other person is, it’s still legal.
      So yeah, no offense, but you really should learn laws and definitions before saying anything. It is quite annoying when people do so without doing a minimum research. I honestly don’t know where or when some ppl for some reason began to say that the age of consent is only for those who under 18, but this is just false. You’re spreading misinformation

    • @karasu543
      @karasu543 2 місяці тому +107

      @@malkuusha"Currently, the age of consent for penetrative sex, oral sex and mutual masturbation in the United Kingdom is 16 years. This means that if any individual 18 or older has sex with someone 15 or less, then they may be charged with a criminal offence and may receive a 14-year prison sentence. The law also applies to those under 18 but above 15 with a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison." Please do your research. It took 30 seconds to search on Wikipedia, then copy and paste. Please do not spread misinformation.

      @@malkuusha You clearly didn't read the entire thing, "The law also applies to those under 18 but above 15 with a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison" it only lessens the prison sentence, not makes it legal.

    • @malkuusha
      @malkuusha 2 місяці тому +12

      @@ryryo2423 I’ve read it just fine thank you. Again, what does it have to do with anything we were talking about? We weren’t talking about the cases when one person is under 18 but above 15 and the other person is under 16. We weren’t talking about the cases when one person is under 16 and the other is over 18. We were talking only about the cases when one person is above 16 but under 18 and the other person is above 18, which is, yet again, legal. It’s honestly getting funny, it’s like I’m talking about the sky and you’re talking about the ground.
      UPD: You even made me doubt myself a little so I googled it again and searched through many different sites and everywhere it says it’s legal. Which is quite predictable, since this what “age of consent” is about, an age when you can give your consent to whoever 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Joke's on that dudebro because a man in the medieval period was considered to be a grown adult fit to marry and have kids around 30 and no earlier because they had to have learned a trade and be able to provide for their family.
    And the myth that people were considered boinkable at 13 is because nobles tended to arrange marriages when the kids were young but there was no actual wedding and consummation until MUCH LATER. But it was not the norm (royals and nobles were not the norm). Heck, the reason why Juliet is 13 in the play is precisely to show how fucked up it is that her father decides to marry her off in a fit of the Father Tantrum.

      All kinds of other gross laws of married life.
      400CE.
      Being considered “a man” at 13 and “a woman” at 12 in Jewish culture stems from that being the age where one would be capable of fulfilling all the commandments.

      @@LGBTQLegend Mostly it comes from church records. Across Europe, they were pretty good at recording births, marriages and deaths. This left behind a pretty good sample size to determine lifestyle statistics. The average person married between 21-25. They died around 75-80, barring death at birth or war. The whole "died at 30" came from averages being pulled down due to a huge number of infant deaths. The "married at 13" came from it being common to BETROTH children and adolescents, even though those marriages rarely took place or were consummated. They were less about the couple and more a symbol that the two families were united in whatever treaty or business deal it was sealing.

    Fun fact it has never been normal to have s3x with children. The age of menstruation has gone down significantly since the advent of factory farming/hormones in food/genetic factors. In the 1800s menarche began on average at 16. The average age of marriage through recorded times was 19-21 with men being 3-5 years older. In fact you can see in the oft-cited Romeo and Juliet characters in the play keep telling them they are too young. Sometimes nobility would “marry” as children but that was more of a betrothal to cement a political alliance - average people didn’t get married until they were able to live independently, and biologically the best time for a woman to have children is her 20s (intersection of fertility and bodily strength.). Teenagers have worse outcomes for pregnancy medically for both mother and baby. So this p3do apologist behavior pretending that little girls are supposed to be having kids can f right off.

      Alpha: tries to control everyone, demands loyalty from everyone, highly jealous and always suspicious

      It’s not incorrect that discomfort during penetration can be caused by medical or psychological issues but the way he frames it as « she broke up with me because she doesn’t understand sex » is completely missing the mark. Also even if it were true that she had medical issues preventing her from enjoying penetration, those kinds of issues are usually not resolved after one appointment. They can take a long time, sometimes years, to overcome, so he would still have to be okay with exploring other ways to enjoy intimacy together outside of penetration for as long as it would take her to want to try it again.

It's sometimes a mental/emotional issue, but most times it's physiological. And women absolutely should not fake it to make their man feel better about themselves. I recently had the delightful discovery about how men's clothing used to be chock full of pockets in literally ANY SEAM POSSIBLE including the tails of tailcoats! Doesn't matter how inconvenient the pocket location is - if a pocket fits, it goes in. Boss asked what brands they were so I slid them across the table while we talked work. He pretended to be interested in them then put them out of my reach.
      Was told boss had spoken with "the creator of god" and my dead father. They had proclaimed me this rpst's soulmate and deemed it his righteous and sacred duty to get me "barefoot and pregnant with the race that would inherit the world".

    There are 1000 dudes in the world that do it with EVERY woman and THAT is why so many guys don't have partners also these 1000 guys can teleport and keep going forever.
