Yes. Thank God for LOOP. Before that, I recorded this song on cassette back-to-back, over and over, to get that slide again and again. It is haunting and everything else, rolled into one.
Every time I think I've heard George's most beautiful tune, another one comes along to blow my heart, mind, and soul. He had the unique ability to channel the Heavens
He's such a legendary guitarist, I love him so much, his voice his playing. his personality. Ugh the beatles were everything, and I'm not that old. They're music will last forever, AI will never replace humans and this is an example.
I have discovered George only lately. Beautiful snd spiritual man , great musician and songwriter. John and Paul were so busy being John and Paul that failed to realize who was around them at the time. Paul now recognize how talented was George and always pays tribute to his beloved ' babybrother' in every concert by singing Something with the Ukulele.
Cloud 9 is still one of my all time favorite albums. An I have lost track how often I have played this in years wishing I was some place else.. Bless you George
Jesus Cristo!!! Que música linda!!! Sem querer ser chato, mas não há nada sequer parecido com uma preciosidade dessas nesses tempos atuais… George, assim como seus colegas de banda, não são desse mundo…
The ultimate ballad for me, tears me up! The tone of George's slide shreds the heart. I heard this during a traumatic time in my life n it said soo much, excellent stuff!
Ive never ever heard these songs ( apart from Something, Here Comes the Sun,While My Guitar Gently Weeps,, All Those Years Ago) of George Harrison until recently. His songs are so meaningful and soulful. Such a talented guitarist, singer/ songwriter ,You are sadly missed!!
@@Roland1965fromBavariaI am now listening to a lot of George’s songs that I have not heard before. They are all beautiful songs which I’ve now included in my playlist.
Hello Elfleda, I wanted to tell you one more thing. An advice from me, if you want to see George in his happiest time of his life, then watch the video sessions with` The Traveling Wilburys`. Songs like " Handle me with care ", End of the line " and " Inside Out " will simply blow you away. I wish you lots of joy and all the best, Roland.

Totally FAB. Fabulous. Thank you, George. Probably THE greatest single song that impacted my life. I have played it 3,000 times and it never gets old. Still on loop. For IP and copyright people, yes, I did BUY it, too. On cassette. In the first year when it was released. George was still alive and hopefully got use of the royalty money.
Indeed! I am so sorry I never heard of his other songs apart from Something ,Here Comes the Sun etc. But happy now that i've been listening to all his songs which I've included in my playlist.
I got really surprised when I found this song. People may not believe but something really beautiful happened, I dreamed of George again inside a church here in my city. Before sleeping I was so sad...I am living terrible times. And that night I went to sleep almost crying. Then I met him, He come to me and gave such a warm hug...And I talked to him...I said words very much like the lyrics of this song. And I didn't know the lyrics! I said that he got into my dream...and I didn't know how he found me...but he did. It is amazing. I could not believe when I found this song just a few days later. I also asked him to confort me.. very much like the lyrics. Guess I was blessed.
What an inspiring story. Thanks for sharing. I have been going through a George Harrison phase which I had intended to relieve the stresses of the post-Christmas lockdown (living in Northern Ireland brought). I purchased Cloud Nine and this song in particular has stuck with me. Thrilling to hear that something good came out of your turbulent situation and the fact that George spoke to you in the dream shows you that life can be worth living.
@@alexsmyth17 Only now I saw your comment...Thank you so much. I met him again in another dream but the first surprised me more because I used the words from his song...and I didn't know the words before. How something like that is possible? Mysteries of life. Thank you again!
I have tremendous affection and admiration for each of the Beatles. I was an original Beatle fan. I grew up to learn of their human flaws. I learned to not idolize them. And yes, one of the worst things the Beatle machine did was ignore George. Paul has frequently said that John broke up the Beatles. That is incorrect. George did. He grew impatient with the lack of recognition and had a huge backlog of songs he wanted to record. He knew he wouldn't get that opportunity in the group, so he broke off and started going on his own. Paul wouldn't even acknowledge that because it would confirm that they all pretty much ganged up and blocked him. George's solo work, I think, exceeds Paul's in quality, and especially in Soul. Many other people believe that. If George hadn't left the Beatles, we would never have known of his amazing talent beyond "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun. It was there, in every song they did put on the Beatle albums. But they were only the tip of the iceberg. I'm so glad he left and we now have all of the icebergs of George, including the Traveling Wilburys!!!

George was constantly writing and making songs that were just plain gems. He was just that talented.
The most successful Beatle after the breakup.
