Awesome work Mr. Sorastro. Am following you since 2015 when i bought the game, i guess. Was searching the internet for all the missing figures last couple of days and watched every video again to be prepared for priming :) Thanks for being my teacher.. greetings from germany!
Great video, Shyla Varad was the first miniature I painted without the help of a tutorial. I felt so strangely proud of myself for figuring out the color scheme and washes and highlights on my own :)
I've never understood who the people are that unlike a video like this. Did they watch until the end and disliked the final result? Either way, how can anyone dislike watching the process? I guess that it's just trolls on the prowl disliking anything that comes in their way, or other envious youtubers but I have a hard time believing anyone could be such a sorry person. Anyways! Wonderful video as always! It is very calming just listening to you, and the overall quality of your videos(and your painting of course) is top notch. Thank you!
Sorastro you have taught me so much. I've gone from dreaming of painting, to fantasizing while watching your videos, to painting more and more in an ever-improving arc. Every video of yours is like Christmas to me.
OH YESSSSSS!!!!! I have been given quite a few of this figure to paint since the Jabba's Realm set came out, and I am lovingly painting them :-) This is my favourite figure of that expansion, as it has ALL a painter could desire, from flesh/hair to uniform/armour, and adding some of my home-made scenic bases has made my painting service customers coming back for more :-D I honestly could just sit and watch your tutorials 24/7, and still come away with more tips and techniques every time, from how you even hold a brush, to how you mix and apply different paints from different suppliers. I always look for new ways to paint simple armour and highlight it, and now am using my own, home-made washes to add that extra "oomph" factor after watching how you do it in earlier tutorials. I admit, I don't use Citadel paints/washes/mediums anymore, but am beginning to add the odd one to my collection for "just in case" moments. I see how much your painting has improved since you started using a wet pallet too, and how much paint you save also, which shows that even experienced painters are always evolving their painting with new techniques and tools :-D I'd love to see more of your terrain building/painting when you have the time, too :-)
