My childhood "friend " borrowed tons of money from me ,knowing i was drunk. When i became sober and asked for repayment , he got mad, and stopped talking to me. Well, his wife left him, he lost his house, his business, and became a car saleman. Nothing wrong with that. But from having all that to where he is now, karma 😊❤
T@@Kate_TheSoberSchool I had to go out to an event tonight & I know that almost everyone would have drinks. I was very nervous about it so I watched a few of your videos while getting ready & after the event we went out for drinks but I ordered a cranberry juice with seltzer & a lime in a big glass. And I felt very good that I was fine & I did not feel like I was missing out on anything. It's a Saturday night so on the walk back home I saw all the people that had to much to drink & theirs friends walking with them & holding them up so they could walk & I said to myself am So Happy am Not that person right now. Love Your Videos 🙏
being totally and completely present is really something that I had never thought of, but It is true and I no longer have that constant guilt of did I drink 3 drinks or 4 oh no 6 empty cans... wtf. I also have noticed that I am not wanting to be out and about at all really unless my kids call and invite me out.
This hit on all points that I am currently experiencing. It was great to hear it out in the open. I am going to call and get into a treatment center but first I need medical detox. Thank you and I have subscribed to your site.
Very interesting that you mention having "two conversations." Very definitely recognise this but have never seen anyone else bring it up. It makes perfect sense that you would be more "present" if you were not having that inner dialogue about your next drink etc, and that you and others with you would have a better time if you could stop that. Thanks.
I’m much gentler and kinder to myself and others.

The silent pain of anxiety, paranoia, depression, and regret will never be seen on the outside. 4 mos sober after 40 years of drinking. Great video.
Congratulations on your 4 months! That's brilliant. Well done 🥳

Congratulations! I’m 51 days sober after 23 years of drinking without a break!
Keep it up! ❤
@@bugajk25 Excellent. Stay with it. It gets better every day.
I can see how the ice maker in my refrigerator is now able to keep up with the demand for ice.😮
😂😂😂
Great advice. 4 months now. Feel switched on all the time.
Many congratulations on your 4 months Michael! 🙌

The better sleep even after less hours sleeping, to me that’s the big core benefit
Nice video, nice background. The best benefit is that I am much more in the moment when I spend time with my daughter.

You can do this. Alcohol killed my dad unexpectedly at 59 yrs old. He was found dead in his bathroom. It lies, steals, and destroys to many.
3 days and it's literally night and day! never going back :D
Amazing - keep going! 🙌
How’s it going
@@TSJ99 Im on day 50 and it feels amazing

No problem - I'm glad this resonated with you. It is very tiring, having two conversations at once!
I haven’t seen any…
I see what you did there
