@@GettingSoberAgain honestly. Yesterday was very reflective. I didn't know what to do with myself or how to feel. Today I am in a much better headspace. I've just got back from the gym and crushing a workout. Now I'm gonna take myself out for a nice bowl of Japanese ramen and sushi
@@jthomas420 that's how it's done! It doesn't "have to be" anything other than what you make it. If it happened to be my last day on Earth and I managed to get a great workout in and followed it up with some ramen, I would absolutely believe that I did it right! We have this awesome ramen spot out here called otani that Sam and I go to a couple times a month. 🍜
Im on 10 days, its a huge difference already, Im not falling asleep in the middle of the day, Im not eating junk food all day long, my digestive system isnt causing a riot in my stomach, the only problem is now I can see the mess I have to clean up
It's cliché, but it's been said "Find opportunity in the crisis" Seeing your mess is a "problem", but now that things are more clear, you have the "opportunity" to better understand the problem and work on it. An old boss of mine told me to "focus on the solution, not the problem". We were talking about something specific at work, but I started using it universally. What a game changer. My whole perspective on life changed. "Deal with it, don't dwell on it" is another good one Best wishes!
Truth! I just hit 7 months this past Sunday and can testify that all of this is true. I'm still struggling to love myself but it's worlds apart from where I was 213 days ago. Congratulations on your 1 year of sobriety, Jae! Thanks so much for all you have done for me and everyone. 👊💪🙏
Hello everyone! I've been 13 months sober and I am feeling fantastic! I'm really proud of myself. I never thought I'd be here. A year ago I thought it would be SO cool if i made it to a year. And now I'm there. 🤗
@@TSJ99 life's never been better! Move to a new city, got a new job and left my old life behind me. Couldn't imagine where I'd be now if I never got sober!
Day 60 🎉 survived a work pub event after closing a lengthy project, and have spent the evening with my parents whilst the wife is out with friends, played chess with my own friends and am clear headed and looking forward to a good night sleep and a fresh head in the morning 👌. Thank you Jae for helping me get this far and engaging with your community like you do ❤
Talk about a man on a mission!! YOU DID IT!!!!!! I hope you have a great night and a great weekend! You deserve it. TREAT YOURSELF! (with ice cream or amazon or something lol)
@@TermiteVideohey, glad to hear your progress! I started over on Jan 1st after drinking a bit more end of last year. Had lots of life change which was the reason, but it’s not an excuse. I regret starting to slip back into old ways. But I’m doing well at the moment and I am aiming for 1 year sober and beyond. I definitely saw the benefits last time around, but alcohol likes to creep back to you if you let it. Stay strong :)
You hit a home run, Jae! Congrats again on your one year soberversary! Yesterday was my 35th birthday and day 124 sober. Today is 125 days for me. I made it to 4 months. WHOO HOO!!!!
Still here from Australia hopefully day one .................I know say 2moro never comes here in Australia 2moro is Monday have sober planned will let you know finding your channel made a very large difference thank you
Congratulations! This channel has been a big inspiration to me. Last week I managed 3 full days in a row for the first time in years. But unfortunately, today is Day 1… again. Here’s hoping it sticks this time
Its a mental game, you gotta be ready to do it, I was drinking for decades, I finally decided I don’t wanna feel like shit anymore, the thought of a beer right now makes me wanna puke. Dont torture yourself, if the urge gets to strong have a beer and try again, if you want to. Im working on not smoking right now, I crashed and burned 2 days ago, now I gotta get my mind right and try it again.
@@floydsmithjr7999try to cut out coffee completely the first two months and drink alot of water. I replaced my coffee with rooibos tee with milk its cafeine free. And dont make a big deal out of it thats the main thing i quit without really any withdrawls lol smoked years 30 aday. That helped me stop smoking for 11months now hope it can help you in someway.
I did a year sober a few years ago and it was the best year of my adult life. I regret going back to drinking (sober reader, you're not missing out on anything!) and am 2 weeks back into sobriety for good. It takes time to see the massive compounding benefits, but I'm eager to be my best self again. Thank you for your videos, they're excellent, and congratulations on your accomplishment 🎉 Keep going 🙌🏼
Congratulations to YOU and thank you for posting your informative position on sobriety. Feel free to comment often and as many videos as you can. People look to the comment section for guidance and wisdom!
Awesome. I began my sober journey the same time as you, However I've failed over and over. I just hit my longest streak at 18 days. Confident it is going to stick this time. Feel so much better physically and mentally after getting way off track the past year and a half.
It's good to see you again! I would say that 85% of people disappear at some point and only a handful of those people disappear because they got sober and stayed sober. It's a journey. Eventually when you commit to saying enough is enough, and stop craving the mental break from achieving real and meaningful life goals, it gets easy. The first step is believing in yourself. 30 days of sobriety is a great place to start
@ metal_mechanic happy new year! How is it going? You are not alone and this is a great community here at getting sober We care about you , please dont stop trying! take care hope to see you at our live stream sometime :)
I’m right behind you. 11 days until 1 year for me. I remember when you started this 1 year ago. You’ve come a long way and you always have good content and messages. Thanks for helping others.
I appreciate you being so kind! That's what this community is all about! Congratulations on your BIG upcoming day! Make sure to sign up for your sobriety shout out on our website. It only takes 30 seconds or so www.gettingsoberagain.com
Boom! First part of 3090 goal accomplished! Life is improving so much, super grateful to be alive and to have found this channel. Took me 18 years and 30 days to get 30 days sober. Love watching the videos like this that show all the positives of long term sobriety as it really helps with my motivation. Thanks
Great to hear your story and success against this demon. Retired military vet that struggles mightily with drinking, but still functioning. The shit don’t even taste that good…but some of us will do anything to cover up mental and physical pains suffered from military service. At this point, the goal is to start by only drinking the recommended amount per day and build up to skipping days, weeks, months, a year…small steps.
You're right, there is no exact way for anyone to approach becoming alcohol free and slowly tapering off is certainly a better option for those who are heavy and longtime drinkers. Navigating the mental battlefield of pain and trauma without your preferred weapon of alcohol certainly takes time and getting used to and I'm glad that you are here and giving an important voice to those out there who are also struggling with the traumas of military service 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much for your service. ❤️🤍💙 I have a close relative who suffers from PTSD from military and became an alcoholic due to it. He’s now over 5 years sober. Wishing you strength and happiness.
@@geechie-don7157 You’re welcome. This community has helped me a lot. Jae is awesome and it’s a fun place to hangout when he does livestreams. I’m pretty new here. 72 days sober and it’s longest I’ve gone and tried to quit many times. I don’t think I could have done it without the support of wonderful people like Jae and the sober family he is building here. I’m glad to chat with you on this Veteran’s Day. Btw, my Dad retired Marine and his name and my brothers name are both Don.😊 One day at a time. 🤍
Great stuff again Jae and hugely inspiring. My wife and I are approaching 100 days sober and life really has never been better! Thank you for sharing your story - it is people like you, Annie Grace, William Porter and Sober Dave who inspire others to make this hugely positive change. The effects are genuinely wonderful. Alcohol is so ingrained in our culture that finally having freedom from it makes society appear like the Matrix! Thanks for the inspiration.
What a wonderful testimony! I am so glad that you took the time and made the extra effort to share your experience with us and congratulations to you both on your 100 days!!! 🥳🥳🥳 Don't be a stranger 😉
Jae, first off let me say congratulations. You have successfully achieved something that so many of us only dream of. And second, thank you for keeping it real. It's not all kittens and roses every day of the week...I appreciate your honesty.
Great video JAE :) You've definitely inspired me in many ways to be better and i can't wait to celebrate my own one year sober. Thanks for keeping me accountable and having such awesome hair. 😄
Month 10,11, & 12 are the championship rounds! I Love that so much. Congratulations again on such a monumental accomplishment. Thank you for everything you're doing for this community. Nothing but gratitude.
Jae, humor is your forte when you incorporate it within your episodes. Again laughed out loud at your "props"😁Loved the Superman kid. ONE YEAR! Just realizing what you've done this past year should motivate everyone. Breaking destructive habits and replacing them with constructive habits. CONGRATULATIONS!! 🎊
Thank you T.K!! It's been my mission and purpose to show people that it CAN be done. People don't realize but I didn't just decide to quit drinking, this is also a very big change for me in many ways. I've spent the past year being abstinent from multiple things other than alcohol as well as making major changes in my personal and professional life to allow me to not have to go back to my old life. I'd be lying if I said taking these leaps of faith hasn't been scary, but it has certainly been worth it!
Day 66. Nearly 1/3 the way too 100!! That will be such a milestone for me. I haven’t had any issues so far, it seems odd. As I’ve mentioned before, I think the mindset change has been super important. I’m not trying to quit, I HAVE quit. It’s a different perspective in my mind. Still mindful that old habits die hard, so I’m still holding myself accountable each and every day, and posting here helps me achieve that. ❤ EDIT: on that note, I will add for the benefit of anyone who reads this, that if you are struggling just like I have many times before, have you thought about the perspective you are viewing your attempt at sobriety from? This has worked for me so far and it’s my best stretch yet. But I don’t see it as a stretch, I see it as another day free from the chains of a poisonous, one sided relationship. And it feels great.
Day 61! Road to 90, although everyday is another win. I realise I’ve been writing these updates in the morning usually, and historically I would have had to wait until the end of the day to see whether I actually made it. That is confidence that I will stay the path 💪😁
I’m trying so hard to get sober and having a hard time but ur videos always make me feel understood and really ignite a fire under my ass to do the damn thing!! Wondering if joining aa would help 🤔
I appreciate you :) AA is certainly a resource that may add the additional tool that you're missing to you approach. It should be pretty easy to find the next meeting time and location thru their website www.aa.org/pages/en_US/find-aa-resources Keep us updated on your progress. There will be people reading your comment thread looking for inspiration to do the same. It's bigger than you now 🙏🏽

Im young be i felt I needed to get sober and I’ve seen the difference in my mood, financially I’m looking at my bank and asking how do I have this much money lol ,and my health has completely changed I feel like my old self where I can run for days and not be tired !!! Life is better without being drunk everyday
I just know this video is going to bring so many more new community members looking for encouragement and someone who is speaking the awesome truth about what is waiting for them when they choose sobriety. It's the most monumental thing I've done all year, possibly ever, for my own self care. And 60 days in I can already identify with so much of what you talked about here today. So glad to have joined this community and thrilled to share this journey with all of you! Great video Jae!!
It's a pleasure to be speaking to the current best version of you. I'll leave a message for future you "Never forget how long it actually took you to get here"

Watched it twice..😍😍 Thanks, Jae for all your hard work & dedication in keeping this community moving forward with your positivity & honesty & awesome sense of humor!!!!
I'm at 1 year sobriety and it feels great. Know more constant cravings. Sure I think about it from time to time but I don't dwell on it anymore. Rather I smile about what I've been through and think how much better I feel.
What you said starting at 4:23...….Amen! There are always more things to be grateful for when you look for them. Thanks for another great and inspirational video. There are times when I need to take a step back and tell myself that I'm blessed.
Love this video and this channel. It’s only been 2 weeks but I relate to so many of these changes already! Well I mean I guess I would be actually at 3 weeks but I had a drink one of the days so maybe I need to look more into the asterix method more, especially as it wasn’t a full on relapse
Day 62… starting to make some meaningful changes to life planning and thinking of the future. Feels like I can think about that stuff clearly now. Breaking ‘the cycle’ is responsible for this clarity 😊
Congratulations Jae, such a fantastic achievement and you continue to be motivating whilst keeping it ‘real’. 7 months for me now. December is historically a tough month for me, however this year I’ve made positive plans and trips to smooth that out. I know it’ll still be a wobbly time but I’m feeling positive and totally in control. Thanks for all your honesty and the support from the rest of the community 💪
Thank you for being kind and keeping it real too 😎 You've come too far to just give up sobriety. Put in the practice saying no! In most cases it only takes saying "No" one time to any old familiar temptations, holidays included :)

Getting sober is not just a switch that is turned on. You have helped me prepare for the journey. Thanks for sharing your roadmap and help me avoid some detours and road construction and where to find the best rest stops.
Day 80 checking in. Still strong, working hard to make that last. EDIT: I felt like having a drink earlier. I had a stressful time dealing with an agency for my onboarding to my new role. I picked up wine and vodka on the shopping (not for me) but damn, I felt close to having a drink. I knew I’d feel bad if I had, it was tempting to think I would stop at one or two, but I’ve been there before. I even said to my wife that I’d have a glass of wine with her, and she calmly asked me if I was sure, because although it’s my choice, how would I feel about it afterwards. I remained steadfast, and I’m glad I did. Just goes to show that plain sailing can be almost railroaded in short order. I’m glad I have the support here and in my home 🙏
Hello! Thank You for your contents. I am almost 2 months sober from alcohol. I'm having issues replacing alcohol with sugar. Well not to bad but enough to get my attention.
Day 91* I’ve started to get in a gallon of water a day and it leaves no room for alcohol even if I wanted it. I love that there is just no desire for alcohol in me day to day. Such a change. It started to become a physical feeling before this, which I’m glad to have seen the back of.
How do you drink so much water??? lol. are you putting essential minerals in your body too? be careful with excessive water intake as you're also washing out essential minerals 🙏🏼
@@GettingSoberAgain I work out a lot, and I keep my electrolytes balanced with a homemade concontion of sodium, pottasium with a little bit of mag and calcium. If I wasn't working out so much I would lower the intake, but thank you for the concern and asking :) before this it was still 2 to 3 litres per day.
Today will be my first day of sobriety. Seeing a Psychiatrist and a therapist. On Naltrexone and librium for withdrawals. I am a functioning alcoholic. I have great everything. I have been a heavy drinker for 40+ years. every bad decision or action I did was backed by booze. Covid times made me drink more and I lost my best friend of 43 years last August from kidney failure. (Diabetes) I was rapidly going down hill and I saw it my self. I know it was a slippery slope and needed help. Talked to my primary care giver and he recommended the docs I am seeing. I decided last night would be the last night of drinking. My father and grandfather were alchys. I may have the gene. Anyway, thank you for your channel and time. I will face this M F'ing demon like a super hero because I need for ME!

What a great list of reminders for getting and staying sober Jae. I went for a walk yesterday and had a feeling that something was wrong and as I strolled along I realised that what was worrying me was the fact it was evening and I was out walking with other people around me. For the very longest time I hadn’t done this, I was too busy drinking!!! Now I am free of this and so many other burdens. Please keep those reminders coming Jae. They are really encouraging. With thanks from your admirer Patrick (60 days sober)
You're the best! I'm glad that you're taking the moments of silence to be aware of your feelings. it's important to really evaluate how we feel, and why we feel what we feel. examining takes time practice, patience and perspective. 🙏🏼

We’ve even stopped buying bread and started making our own. Being mindful in so many ways. I'm on my day 12. Only was drinking beers 4-5 a day for a few years now. Have ADHD and I guess I used it to calm down at night. And yes it helped the moment the alcohol was in my body, but it is a snake bitting its tail. The negative side of alcohol does not pay off. Just in 12 days I'm already feeling the difference. My plan was quiting for a while. But watching your videos are really inspiring me to walk the whole milky-way as a sober traveler. I'm deffenetly going for the year. Thank you for inspiring people for a better life🙌❤️
Day 42 (yesterday) and Day 43 checking in, sober! This is the longest I’ve had without drink since I was a teenager and started drinking at 15. Big milestone for me. Looking forward to day 60! I have been very productive and I have a super positive outlook on our families future ❤️
Day 54, 6 days to the big 60! Super proud of my achievement. I remember looking at people celebrating 60 days, or whatever figure it was, and once upon time thinking “that’s easy, why celebrate something like that”, but never actually doing it myself, so never appreciating how powerful it is. I am better educated now. I make better decisions. ❤
I am 5 days sober so far. I feel great. I won't lie, the thought of going to the local sports bar has crossed my mind but I am keeping myself busy and know this is the best path for me. Good luck to all of you on your journey to sobriety.
That is the right attitude! Think of recovering from heavy alcohol use like recovering from a broken leg. Sobriety gives you the time you need to truly heal. For most people out of the tens of thousands of comments I've read, it takes about 3 months before you really truly can acclimate back into triggering places or situations where you are strong enough to stand up on your feet and RESIST the temptation, BECAUSE, the temptation will be mostly non existent. Do everything that you can to protect your newly hatched sobriety. It is fragile. And it needs proper care and support 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Then the next year my 8 year relationship ended when I found out my dad was terminally ill. Then Covid happened. But here we are. Stronger than ever, on a solid 19 month streak without blemishes 💪🏽 We are here to help. Remember, this community is all about "No Judgement Sobriety"

Day 100* 🎉🎉🎉 have to say I am very proud of myself getting to this point. It’s the best relationship I’ve ever had with alcohol. Thank you Jae for engaging with me along the way, making time time for your viewers is super cool of you. Legend ❤️
5 days sober and my longest is 50 days a few years ago. During those 50 days what broke my sobriety is that I didn't notice any big changes in myself so I thought what's the use if nothing crazy positive in my life changes, like financial freedom or something to show for my sacrifice. Sounds like a negative outlook on life but I believe most people think the same.
if you ask yourself "am I there yet?" and the answer is "no", what do you do: quit, or keep going? each person has their own answer. for some people it's quit. for some people it's keep going. for most of us, it was the former. for some of us, it has become the latter 💪🏽
Day 48, wow, feeling good. I have had a couple of times when I've caved to craving sugar still, and I'm working on knocking that on the head. It didn't help that we've had terrible weather for the last couple of days and we've been stuck inside. I will be putting in a monster workout later today to balance things out a bit. The main thing is I have no craving for alcohol, at all. Zero. I really think this is the time I have conquered it. I've had so many failed attempts in the past, but they always felt like breaks, rather than anything permenant. I went into them with the wrong mindset, the classic 'if I can just quit for x number of weeks, I'll be able to moderate'. It's funny how it takes so many failures of that before you realise you just need to sack it off, period.
Posting this in the main comments as suggest by Jae, a great idea to share. I found this only yesterday, and on my journey with sobriety it hit me in ALL the feels about all the things in life I should be appreciating more and the things I need to worry about less. This could have been written yesterday, but it’s is from 1927. Desiderata: Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. by Max Ehrmann
Congratulations Jae!!!!! What an inspiration to all of us you are!! I am so thankful to have met you and the wonderful group you have attracted here. I know it was not easy, but you surmounted each and every obstacle. Hilarious video - again! Look how much your channel has grown and all of the people you have helped. You really are living your life's purpose. Way to go! I wish you another great year!! :D :D :D
Just rolling over one full year in 4 days! I started only with the intention of stopping for a while as I could sense my little love affair with alcohol could increase easily if I didn’t do something. Being a 3 to 4 drinks every day guy, without a day off for over a year, I could see it was starting to slowly make day to day life less than great. Plus I found myself looking forward to numbing out around 4 or 5 pm. After a month, I decided I would not put a fixed time on the sober period , as I was really enjoying being sober all the time. Now at this point, my feeling is why go back? Yes there are times I miss it, and would like to have that crutch while enduring an issue with someone or whatever, but what I have experienced is that facing the issues directly, or by simply being more understanding or accepting, the problems usually fizzle out and/or resolve. Anyways, I wish you all the best in your journeys and keep up the good life!
Jae, posting this here rather than buried in my other comments :) Day 34. Sober. Resisted a work leaving do and a catch up with a close friend where we would usually sink a few tins, remained a clean event. I’ve been super productive with my career aspirations as well and have made great progress towards where I want to be professionally. My blood pressure remains the best it’s been since I was a kid. Happy camper right here!
This is great news!! Another sober notch on the sobriety belt💪🏼 thank you for the positive update and a very relevant one that people will have to deal with 🙏🏼
Day 90* - things are going pretty easy for me at the moment. Before I started this journey, I would have drunk excessively maybe 45 to 50% of these 90 days. I've only done it once, and needed to get it out of my system. I am a better person for making it this far. Thank you Jae, for making this video (and all the others), which gave me the real drive to give this a serious effort.
they say it takes about 21 days to start a habit and about 90 days for it to become a more permanent lifestyle change! Congrats to you and the progress and persistence that you've shown!!!
Day 76 checking in. Going strong. For those that find trying to quit hard, just remember that one time, it won’t be ‘as’ hard. Each try and subsequent failure, like I’ve had, are little bits of training for your final sobriety journey, the one that stays the path. You have it in you. Much love ❤

Im on 10 days, its a huge difference already, Im not falling asleep in the middle of the day, Im not eating junk food all day long, my digestive system isnt causing a riot in my stomach, the only problem is now I can see the mess I have to clean up
Being able to see is a gift! There are many people voluntarily keeping themselves blind. Let's do the real work
Go! Great work. Celebrate each day. No one who drinks ever woke up the next morning and said, “damn! I wish I drank more last night!”
@@n9zmn Truth
@@GettingSoberAgain Even my wife said
“Wow, you’re actually paying attention to me when Im talking to you”
😅
It's cliché, but it's been said "Find opportunity in the crisis"
Seeing your mess is a "problem", but now that things are more clear, you have the "opportunity" to better understand the problem and work on it.
An old boss of mine told me to "focus on the solution, not the problem". We were talking about something specific at work, but I started using it universally.
What a game changer.
My whole perspective on life changed.
"Deal with it, don't dwell on it" is another good one
Best wishes!
It only gets better you’ll see it’s not gonna make life perfect but just so much bettet👍
“And you aren’t limited by the mistakes of your past”…… very good
Truth! I just hit 7 months this past Sunday and can testify that all of this is true. I'm still struggling to love myself but it's worlds apart from where I was 213 days ago. Congratulations on your 1 year of sobriety, Jae! Thanks so much for all you have done for me and everyone. 👊💪🙏

@MulunaLewi
Why is it a vice? Are you referring to narcissism?
Hello everyone! I've been 13 months sober and I am feeling fantastic! I'm really proud of myself. I never thought I'd be here. A year ago I thought it would be SO cool if i made it to a year. And now I'm there. 🤗

Thanks Oliver! What a wonderful day :)

EDIT: on that note, I will add for the benefit of anyone who reads this, that if you are struggling just like I have many times before, have you thought about the perspective you are viewing your attempt at sobriety from? This has worked for me so far and it’s my best stretch yet. But I don’t see it as a stretch, I see it as another day free from the chains of a poisonous, one sided relationship. And it feels great.
We like to call it "Practicing Perspective"! What a powerful tool to take time out of your day to try and understand the world from different lenses
Day 61! Road to 90, although everyday is another win. I realise I’ve been writing these updates in the morning usually, and historically I would have had to wait until the end of the day to see whether I actually made it. That is confidence that I will stay the path 💪😁
Waking up sober and refreshed is a great time to leave a comment 😍

@@zenstiller8938 as long as you know that you are at the beginning and just like the beginnings of any journey we know there is much to learn, mistakes will be made and we will continue moving forward.
Even after I started this channel, 3.5 years ago, 45 days later I was on a cross country bender from LA back to Cleveland.
Then the next year my 8 year relationship ended when I found out my dad was terminally ill.
Then Covid happened.
But here we are. Stronger than ever, on a solid 19 month streak without blemishes 💪🏽
We are here to help.
Remember, this community is all about "No Judgement Sobriety"
Not going back to alcohol or any mind-altering substance ever again. Never thought I would make it past 6 months. Now, I'm here. 9 months and a week, which is 281 days sober tonight.
HAPPY 281!!!
well edited video. hope your channel grows. good content.
Thanks for your positivity! Appreciate ya!
Congrats man. I'm one month sober it feels great. I love your videos.
1 month is something to be PROUD of!!! Keep up the good work AND the positivity!
@GettingSoberAgain I will man. Thank you. Keep up the great content.
Day 100* 🎉🎉🎉 have to say I am very proud of myself getting to this point. It’s the best relationship I’ve ever had with alcohol. Thank you Jae for engaging with me along the way, making time time for your viewers is super cool of you. Legend ❤️
💯💯💯💯 You've EARNED IT 💯💯💯💯
5 days sober and my longest is 50 days a few years ago.
Day 38 sober. 5 more days and that is a record. On that count down! 🤟
Thank you for your insights. Very inspiring.
Thanks for watching Lisa. What brings you here =)
Day 73, still hanging in there. No cravings, diet and exercise still on point. Feeling like success right now :D
Desiderata:
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

Congratulations to you. Keep shining!
You are just a lovely lovely lovely person and I hope your life is as wonderful as your comments
Awwwwww thank you Jae😄🥰 you are such a lovely person too. Right back at you 🤩👍
Just rolling over one full year in 4 days!
1 YEAR LETS GOOOOOO!!!!
Jae, posting this here rather than buried in my other comments :)
Day 34.
Another sober notch on the sobriety belt💪🏼 thank you for the positive update and a very relevant one that people will have to deal with 🙏🏼
@@GettingSoberAgain day 35, sober :)
These are the right videos at the right time! So glad this came across my feed! Thank you, sir!
Well the good news is there's WAY MORE!

Truly motivational. Keep it up!
Thanks Bart!!! It's nice to hear from you this morning. How's your own journey heading along??
Day 90* - things are going pretty easy for me at the moment. Before I started this journey, I would have drunk excessively maybe 45 to 50% of these 90 days. I've only done it once, and needed to get it out of my system. I am a better person for making it this far. Thank you Jae, for making this video (and all the others), which gave me the real drive to give this a serious effort.
they say it takes about 21 days to start a habit and about 90 days for it to become a more permanent lifestyle change! Congrats to you and the progress and persistence that you've shown!!!
@@GettingSoberAgain ❤️ I read Atomic Habits not long ago. Rings true!
Great job I’m on day 6
Keep up the good work! You will make it!
Day 76 checking in. Going strong. For those that find trying to quit hard, just remember that one time, it won’t be ‘as’ hard. Each try and subsequent failure, like I’ve had, are little bits of training for your final sobriety journey, the one that stays the path. You have it in you. Much love ❤
Happy Sunday! what are you up to today? we just got back home yesterday after being gone for 3 months. lots to do here around the house 😁
@@GettingSoberAgain 3 months wow! I can imagine. I don’t think our cats would like us doing that 😂
I travelled 160 miles to a family birthday today, visiting parents for 3 days too. All sober and will remember all of it 👌 bet it’s nice to be home again Jae 🎉
@@_.alex.- We took the kitties with us 🥰 They were surprisingly adaptable
Sober ..again... 1 week here. Wish me luck. Thank you.
You know they say luck is when opportunity meets preparation. Better preparation = longer sobriety
@@GettingSoberAgain New here.. thank you. Yes it is very hard...I have had a lot of practice preparing lol. Fine tuning it and listening to you tube videos like this help me look forward to and acknowledge the benefits of sobriety. Thank you for the wonderful video.💖💖💖
Hi Sue just checking in to see how you are doing! this is a great community here at getting sober and I am glad you are here
@@CD-zy5te thank you so much. I messed up 2 days ago. Am Journaling on it. Seems when I am tired it is a tempting time and I use the booze to push though. I am trying to get in touch with my feelings more and react in healthier ways. Thank you for touching bases. I appreciate the support.🥰
Day 106* and 107* checking in. Yesterday was a crazy blur due to work, travel and helping elderly parents. All good here!
PHEW!
@@GettingSoberAgain 😂😊 I’m starting a new job next month, a big change for me. I might forget the occasional update because I’m going to very busy getting up to speed. I’m not planning on drinking (obviously) so I can keep a clear head. I’ll use any stress as motivation to dig deeper into my craft!
Man! Love this video! Just about the most inspiring thing out there!
Wowowowowowwwwwww that's such an amazing compliment!! You make yourself at home lol
Come hang out on Wednesday/Friday/Sunday for our 2 hour sober livestreams. It's a lot of fun!
