When this song was released, UA-cam did not exist, but it was a very good song and was heard on all music radio and TV channels. Now we are lucky that UA-cam exists and we can listen to it whatever we want. Very good song. Memories of those times are a real relief for the times we live in today.
Words can not describe what I feel for this song. I knew this song since I was 3 or 4 years old and the intro sound still makes me shiver 20 years later as it did then. The vocals are total on spot. For example, in the breathing out at the "the way that you pulled me inside" at 3:25, you can hear all the passion and emotions that are delivered by this song. The drum fill at 4:15 is the best drum fill of all times for me (I'm q drummer myself). And don't get me started on the guitar thenes they used at this song. I don't know how they can put so many different and great different guitar sounds in one song and make them still sound like it all fits so well. For example this catchy solo at 2:46 or the heavy guitar sound at 3:04. I could go on and on and on, but as I said: Words can not describe my emotions I have for this song. But what I can say is, that after 25 years of listening to music from all genres, from the 1950s until today, I can say that - to me - this is the greatest song of all times. Nothing comes close to this incredible masterpiece. Thank you, Simple Minds and sorry for my bad english.
I don't know why this was not a chart topper in 1995! I came across this album in the early 2000's, as a friend used to get all their albums. I had not heard muich from them since Belfast Child. I was hooked as soon as I heard it. It was a regular listen on my favourite playlists on my 2007 ipod. I still crank it when I have feeling for music. 7 Deadly Sins, what an opening riff! 🙂
You are right, I was hypnotised by u2, but Simple Minds came to Belgrade and sang. What a paradox, but nice one. Since then I love Simple Minds the same as U2.
@@kristinakrstanovic6797 I have been keeping track of both bands. Both are amazing, life-changing bands. What I preferred in Simple Minds was their lower profile and their more romantic approach. Cheers Kristina !
I remember the first time i heard Simple Minds. My father bought this album “good news from the next world”. I love this music an every time i hear it, I’m hypnotised
Crazy I remember listening to this song on virgin radio about 2002. I'd thought it was U2 but couldn't find it.But remembered some of the lyrics.Thank you top of the pops BBC 4. Played it today and recognised it immediately.
This brilliantly seductive song has been with me since the early 90s. It's about that deep desired, out of reach, forbidden love, so wrong that there's no excuse for it. In my mind, I have it together with Duran Duran's Come Undone💘, both give me shivers.
Brilliant song, I remember when it was released back in 95 and it sounds just as good today. The album Good News From The Next World is really underrated. This is a timeless classic, great lyrics and guitars. Jim Kerr's voice is brilliant on this track
This songs remember good things…I was 15 and I kissed a girl in a party when this song was playing. The time stopped in that moment and I always remember that day 😊
I found a place in a secret place, the sea. Everything remains and there is no nostalgia for any memory...Live in joy. Eternity is that moment where you are and you Will say what beautiful times. Nice song from my adolescence...🧠 Forever 🎼🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶😑
In my eyes Simple minds were one of the biggest and best band in the world and anyone who was anyone knew about simple minds, they weren't underrated at all!! Just some people had crap taste in music! SM is and will always be my favourite band!!
I love this video. It is such a beautiful work of art. It is the magic that happens when the right team of highly skilled professionals work together and all the pieces fit perfectly. The writing, costumes, makeup, sets, lighting, direction, production, everything is just totally on point. It feels to me like everyone who worked on it understood the music and were working from the same page. Something which I feel early Simple Minds videos miss. It is incredibly sensual, sexy, beautiful and seductive. Everything a video to accompany such a song should be. And purrrrr.... what vocals.
Sie.....................I always found this song fabulous....incredible tones, a lovely rhythm, a more than wonderful voice.....disliking this song is "simple no mind".....WONDERFUL SONG....VERY GOODOOOOOO
😂😂😂I was 14 years old in '95 when this song was released. When they played it on the radio or on MTV I turned the volume all the way up. Cuánto extraño aquellos tiempos ....Oh Dios! God! I would give days of my life what I have left if I could go back for a moment in those times
I heard this song first time at the backseat of my father's car. I was six years old at the time. I still have that same c-cassette where this song is and always when i see a car that is same that my father used to have, i remember this song instantly. Sweet memories and i miss them...
I was a kid growing up in war zone...95 war was over, new life, new world, new feelings and this song...always when I hear this song it feels like I am coming on this world again...so much good vibrations in this song for me...
"Good News From The Next World" is such a masterpiece.
From the next world huh! That's good to hear. I swear.
Since 1995 im hipnotized, great band
Muy buena banda
These lyrics perfectly describe how it feels to be manipulated and abused. "It's never easy" to notice that...
Omg so true!!
Back in time when music used to be great.
When this song was released, UA-cam did not exist, but it was a very good song and was heard on all music radio and TV channels. Now we are lucky that UA-cam exists and we can listen to it whatever we want. Very good song. Memories of those times are a real relief for the times we live in today.

Since '95 till today I'm still hypnotized
There are some songs that have this incredible flow, that makes you feel like flying, and this is one of those songs.

A good track from a top band.
this song came in an era when Simple Minds were completely underrated, and look at that genius song they came up with !!

One of the best bands ever. I listen to their songs all the time.

Reggaeton de mierda
Nostalgia: envy of my own past...
Simple minds doesn't just make noise or shout opinions/problems.

The age of good music and decent videos. What the fuck has happened?
+donlogan666 hip hop ruined music
+don fuk you ur stupid true
Music has grown immensely since then, and quality music is still out there just a bit harder to find.
The song that started my SM obsession😏
The bass line, always the bass line, so nice in all Simple Minds songs. Well all compositions are brilliant.
The album version is a full minute longer (and better). This is the abridged, radio version.
O solo e fenomenal ?!!!
The girl with a red dress and fox mask (in 3:33) seems a clear reference to the cover of Genesis' album Foxtrot.
I have a musical snow globe that plays that same tune at the very beginning of this video!!!
Me too!! Does someone know from which song comes that melody??
In my eyes Simple minds were one of the biggest and best band in the world and anyone who was anyone knew about simple minds, they weren't underrated at all!! Just some people had crap taste in music!
SM is and will always be my favourite band!!

This song was played in the background of a boxing clip around 1997 with Roy Jones and some others. Who has this clip?
Magnificent song. It truly is hypnotizing and is pure art ❤

Even though I prefer their early work, this is really good. They´ve kept their sounds.
A profoundly impacting masterpiece.

I couldn’t agree more
I'm hypnotised by this band.
Just in time.
Simple Minds forever ❤❤
Fantastica ❤
I just discovered this video and adore it. So strange to see Jim so still, I wonder if he found it strange to film. It looks amazing though.
Wciąż magiczny!
Eye on the signature in the sound. I could tell it was you BOINGO!!! I can't lose that track. I know where you're going with it. ❤❤❤
Simple Minds at their very best. This is an absolute classic.
Bono has nothing even remotely as good as this.
Oh, boy! The way this song sounds on proper hifi gear in 2021! The base line, the drums... Mindblowing!
😂😂😂I was 14 years old in '95 when this song was released. When they played it on the radio or on MTV I turned the volume all the way up.
Cuánto extraño aquellos tiempos ....Oh Dios! God! I would give days of my life what I have left if I could go back for a moment in those times
