Hi. I have a weird one. Deep well jet pump. So the pump has a pipe pressurizing the well, then another pipe provides the water to my home. Since installed. Gould J5 plus I can not build over 25 psi. It's not a switch issue. In face. I had to purchase a $120 special switch to be able to set a 10/15 PSi threshold. The cheap switch would not work correctly. Either it failed to engaged and/or constantly cycled. I have everything on top new. Did a foot valve test. Got to 25 psi. Checked in 30 minutes. No loss at all with house water shut off. I have multiple valves. I found a small air leak on the suction line. It's sealed. I have opaque pipes so I can see any air bubbles. Once in a while. I get a tiny bubble. My well is at approximately 70 feet. Estimated from what the local well guys tell me. Is it possible that the diaphragm could cause this issue? A little more details in the way to fix and weird failures might be helpful. It's a half HP pump. New plumbing on top of well head. New tank. Ideas? Do you sell Gould parts? Happy to purchase what you think it might be. Help!
Hi. Thanks for all your information. I have a question that you might be able to help me with. I have a cistern and a jet pump system for my house. We had water delivered and after when I used the water in the house, the jet pump started clicking on and off and the gauge was moving up and down. This was very loud and concerning. It happen every time we used the water and stopped after about 5x. This also happen last month when we had water delivered, but never before. Any thoughts on what this could be? I have a video of it if that would help. Thank you.
I m sure you found out after a year. The on and off or cycling, is coming from the pressure switch, you have to set the minimum and maximum pressure so it would stop cycling. Search how to set it, there are 2 springs inside
My inlaw left pump running for about 45 minutes when the feed tank was empty. I shut the main water off to let tank drain to relocated tank and the pressure pump. Now it's all hooked up and primed but won't build pressure over 10psi. Is the jet part most likely burnt up?
I’m shopping for a pump for my 600 sqft cottage I’m building it has a well already not working the property is by a lot of lakes so I want a jet pump but not sure how much horsepower to get or how deep to go it’s got one toilet and one toilet I will be buying a water softener
Am I correct in assuming that a worn impeller would produce the same resistance/cavitation issues you referred to when you spoke about new installs? I have a Gould J5S, it's been working great for 3-4 years and we do have a good amount of sediment which tapered off after the first year or two of use. Lately the pump runs longer times to fill, I hear that cavitation that I was familiar with back when I had to prime it originally. I'm thinking the impeller finally lost enough blade to produce proper pressure to fill quickly. Thanks for the great straight forward video!
It could be cavitation, it could also be broken bits of impeller/sediment rocking around inside the pump housing. Give us a call and we can quote the cost for the needed replacement parts: 855.329.4519
Our pump is directly attached to the water supply pipe. The problem is when there's no water in the pipe it makes no sound, but when it's sucking water it makes hell-like vibration-like noise. I have taken this to the manufacturer's factory. Those idiots replaced certain parts, making a huge bill, without 1% improvement even. In a nutshell, it makes noise while sucking water. Without water, there's no noise. Please helppp!
Exactly the same thing. If I turn off the valve on the water supply pipe, it makes lo, noise, if I open it, it s whistling and it's hard to cope with that level of noise
great timing! plumber is on his way here to look at mine.... prob replace seal. thanks!
Thanks for watching!
An example of the noise it makes would be helpful

You need to make videos of how to fix problems of the constant pressure system “subdrive 300 & subdrive connect” thanks
Are there standard bronze replacement impellers for general replacement?
Thanks for the video. Great info. May I send you a video of my jet pump for feedback? I’m not sure if this sounds like a bearing issue.
Can low voltage cause unusual noise in the pump?
Question - Can a water pump make noise when it is unplugged from an electrical circuit?
good info! What is the most quiet Convertible Jet Pump?
Helpfull. Thanks.

Should also mentioned that both times I had enough water left in the cistern. Measured both times before delivery so it was never dry.
I m sure you found out after a year.

There's likely some melted plastic in the pump end. I would take it apart and see what needs to be replaced.
My pump is actuLly making a buzzing sound. Motor is not turning, however motor is not stuck

My pump have pressure in running, have water flow and no leak in seal
But there is to much noise, its not in the motor also
