Thanks for the heads up. I'll watch this doc tonight. It takes a conscious effort to pull yourself away from blatant & subtle advertising. I began years ago, 1980's, by avoiding the ads in the Wed and Sun newspapers. I just stopped. I became aware that instead of looking for particular items on sale, I found myself unconsciously looking at all the ads FOR something to buy on sale. VCR's meant watching TV & FF commercials. Then the DVR recording. Again FF past commercials. Once the internet became available, I trained myself to focus on what I'm reading and don't notice advertising on the left, right, top or bottom of my screen. Ad free streaming is a dream come true. No contracts so pay for a month or two of Netflix, cancel, then pay for a month or two of Hulu. I also alternate with Peacock and UA-cam.
