Delroy, you're a star! As someone with Tradespeople in the family who did the old school apprenticeships, I have respect for people who know their trade and have high standards. Some people have no idea what is involved to keep us safe in our homes via good Electricians, Gas Fitters, Builders, Roofers, Carpenters, Plumbers.. It's not just your knowledge, it's your attitude - you are polite to the most trying of customers, you work steadily till the problem is solved and you leave the place safe and tidy! I honestly haven't got a clue what some of the stuff is you're talking about, as my City and Guilds are in Environmental Management - Landscape Gardening, Trees, Plants blah blah. 🙂 Don't worry, I never touch anything I'm not qualified for, I won't be using your videos for DIY tips, but I enjoy watching and learning. Love it when you and Marley have your van chats, great example you set for him. Respect where it's due, bet you're a great teacher for apprentices too. Stay safe, all the best! (PS I used to live near the Eastway, Leyton /Stratford - is that the manor for the company name?)

Might have been connected to a socket upstairs? You just never know unless you do circuit identification. Respect👊

At 13:34 the socket at the fridge looks really badly cracked, if so i would've advised swapping that out

Wonder if the owner has mice or been screwing floor boards down with the faulty leg coming in from the bottom of the socket and bottom of the cu. Those who say ring circuits are obsolete and old fashioned are talking nonsense, you couldn't restore power like that on a radial albeit the circuit is now rated at 16 amp. Notice you took the earth off the back box del, I'm still old school and still earth them up even though the screw and fixed lug provide an earth. Great videos 👍

Thankfully we aren't allowed to do ring circuits in Australia.

That coat rack in the cupboard above the socket could have been screwed up n into the cable coming down. Might have cleared if take a dodgy looking misplaced screw 🤷🏿

Even so, I wouldn't trust the damaged cable for continued use. He did right to take it out of the circuit.

@@michael.a.covington I agree. Although tbf someone more observant than me noted cables are bottom entry. If it was the case a simple conductor resistance test either by wondering lead or joining 2 conductors together would help to know if it was broken and not fit for purpose.

Will you be going back to repair the ring and put it back to 32A ? I'm assuming the cable runs up the wall, then under the floor upstairs and finally down the wall and into the under stairs cupboard.
