I finally managed to upload a long-form video!!☺ I’m planning to upload another one next week, so I’m looking forward to your comments! I’ll be doing more vlog-style videos-do you like today’s kind of content?
I love this content. A normal day rather than a curated one for the camera is much more enjoyable. I wish that I was in the habit of eating like you, it seems so nourishing for the body and spirit. And I really appreciate you showing so many vegan dishes?
@@mariakern6793 I’ve never come across soy sauce that still contains alcohol. However, one thing that comes to mind is that men-tsuyu (noodle soup base) contains mirin, and mirin does have alcohol in it. Could that be what you’re referring to? In most cases, the alcohol in the mirin used in men-tsuyu is cooked off.
I’ve been doing Japanese style of eating for a week. I ❤ it! I feel satisfied, energized and healthy. Now my mind is always trying to figure out the sides! I got some small dishes and they’ve inspired me to really be artistic when plating the food! I don’t want to read or watch tv while eating anymore because I put so much effort into the aesthetics of the meal, I want to focus on it and enjoy it. A couple of times, I’ve eaten in my old less healthy habits, but it’s a big, healthy, happy shift. Thank you!
Wow!!! This is so great and exciting to hear! The shift might not be easy for you, but once you make it a habit, it’s a treasure you’ll want to carry forever.
I’m so happy to hear that I will have time to myself again someday. I watched the video while holding my second baby and had to pause it 3 times. I’m glad to hear it will get easier!
Your family is blessed to have your well cooked healthy meals. Good food = good body =good mind! I've learned so much from you over the years. Thank you for your recipes and instruction! You will always be an inspiration to me. ❤.
When I was in my twenties, I had the least confidence in myself. I was constantly comparing myself to others and always wished I could be like the beautiful people I saw. I focused only on my appearance. But now, in my late thirties, I’ve stopped worrying so much-in a good way. Of course, there are still things I want to change, but I’ve learned to appreciate and accept the effort I put in every day. That day will come for you too. But before you get there, enjoy your twenties to the fullest!
@@MiwasJapaneseCooking I didn't mean me, but your comment could be beautiful for anyone who reads my comment and saying "I'm one of those people". What I wanted to say was, in the video it seemed you were embarrassed about showing your face after waking up. But your face looked great! Something to be proud of, not embarrassed about.

Thank you for not trying to make the day 'glamorous' for UA-cam and keeping it real. Also the Question about store bought fermented food would be good to know! Does it benefit our gut? Arigato!
Haha! I wish I could make it as glamorous as other UA-camrs do, but being authentic reaches more of an audience who really appreciates my cooking and life. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it!
You are inspirational! All of the food looks so delicious, and I can see why you still look vibrant and healthy. I love what you said at the end of the video about being happy.
I am from New Jersey a college student and I have been wanting to travel to japan for a long time hopefully get to soon I have been fascinated with the traditional culture of japan , and have been trying to learn Hiragana !
Don't worry about how you look early morning. I turned 40 last August and sleep with my hair up in a bun and I often look as if I slept through a typhone 😅 I used to do yoga just at home and would love to get back doing this but first I need to deal with some health issues and it's very busy here with my daughter being in her last year of elementary school. So that will come back later. I try to walk every day just ro get out of the house. Though with househokd chores and having 2 stairs in my house I get a lot of walking in that way. Did you know you can really easy make saurkraut at home? It's a fermented cabbage with just cabbage and salt. It's so easy especially in winter when te temperatures in the home are cooler. It's a lacto ferment. You can use things like cucumbers and peppers for it as well.
Love this video from start to finish, very inspiring 🥰 Please share the mushroom recipe you served for breakfast, it looks mild and less spicy & salty to start day. Also the recipe for the stir fry with ramen noodles. Thank you !
About gut health. As you mentioned eczema in childhood, and also increased skin sensitivity, the chances are you have a special hormonal metabolism in direction of Neurodermitis, that also hangs very much with gut and digestion together. That is what you should ask the specialist for your personal situation.
@@MiwasJapaneseCooking you should, it is a very specific situation you have, and a good gut specialist can help you find balance with your skin and other irritation very well ) wish you interesting time at the interview ))

I'm East Asian as well and at 39, I still looked quite young. When I hit 42/43, the aging started to hit me. Not much can stop it. Lifelong religious user of sunscreen and other serums, etc; Haven't used botox or anything either.
