Coffee Table Railroad - December 2023

Still under construction, but growing and developing the downtown area. Admittedly, there is a lot of clean-up of dust and debris, but a lot of it gets rearranged when there is a new addition, so most of it is not "nailed down" yet in any way. It will be removed from the frame at some point, and the downtown area, pavement, lighting, roads, signs, buildings, structures, trees, landscaping will be done in "final form". I have been able to continue to bring the little town closer to my vision of some of the towns I've lived in (Poughkeepsie NY, White Plains NY, Dayton OH) which I suppose comes from an affection for old timey vintage antiquity. So there it is, every night, right in front of us as we watch TV from the living room couch. Reminds me that there are people everywhere who are living these moments contemporaneously together with us... in their own spaces of refuge and comfort..

Your father's nieces (daughters of your Aunt Peggy) saw the CTRR when they were here last week for a few hours to visit! They come down from Indianapolis to a place every year for a few months. It just happens to be only 40 minutes from us, so this is our fourth time getting together. That's all the news from Lake Wobegone ... :)
