- "Aquarela do Brasil", known to us in America simply as "Brazil", was written by Ary Barroso in 1939. It has been recorded many times as a Samba, and one of my favorite versions was Lenny Dee's, as a "disco-samba". Thought I'd give it a try, with the sun beginning to set, on a cold day in Ohio.....brrr.....Samba! Rev-up that Hammond.....
Mike Reed has left us with many fine songs to remember him by and wish he could have recovered from his illness. He so enjoyed playing for us!
Organo hammond di mike red andrebbe messo in ricordo . Nel museo dei grandi musicisti!..
That was in the Disney film, “The Three Caballeros” I saw as a very young child-- when it first came out!

Bravo!
When I feel blue. This song perks me right up.
I think his name was Ronnie Newman. He was the organist at the old Met stadium in Bloomington Minnesota. He played the Twins games for years. I remember back in the 70’s hearing him play this tune. It brought back a lot of great memories. Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL JOB !!!!!!!!!!!! I am playing this on loop, over and over.....very nice!!!! Thanks, Joe

My favourite version of this song- by Catherine Valente.
Super, Sauber, Klasse !!!!
Why don't we have composers that write music like this today ? Much that is produced today is computer generated noise. Thanks Mike!
As I work at my computer I am listening to Mike Reed songs on UA-cam and this song is a favorite. You seem very comfortable with this song...Nice job...makes me want to visit Rio.
I am so glad that Mike shared these videos before he passed. He will be forever memorialized with his music. Blessings, and farewell you master of music.
Tears flowing! LOVE THIS! MANY MEMORIES OF PLAYING. THANK YOU!
Mike, not too many people can still play an organ, I know I can't. But, there is something special about 'the Hammond' sound. I really appreciate your work on the few videos I've watched of you. I hope you continue to play for a very long time. Thank you for the lovely trips down memory lane and the great Hammond sound!
This is jus WONDERFUL thank you MIKe
Without words Mike, as already said in another comment, below, continue to toast us with his high technique and patience with his fans. We will not have opportunity and pleasure and play a Hammond, life has not allowed us, but we feel fulfilled in hearing it. Thank you.
