- Just thinking Summer happy thoughts, and enjoying the Sunny day here. Thought I'd deliver up some of my favorites.....just little bits of delicacies from the Latin table of Mr. Antonio Carlos Jobim. Simply no one can top his finesse with melodies, harmonies and rhythms..... One more Mocha with Diet Coke, please..... "Beach Life is Good, too" Live it to the fullest, and practice those tunes. :0)
You can not help but feel good when you see how much he enjoys playing
Although he is gone home. He will still spread the joy of music to everyone who find his channel. Thank you Mike for the blessing of your music to all of us.
Those pieces i used to play in different restaurants and hotel lobbies. Oh those were the days! At weddings as a background music. Jobim and Sergio Mendez genre!
This was the first of Mike's videos I stumbled across, and still listen to it all the time because there's something really homely about it. Im forever grateful for all the music he shared with us, he really was a blessing. Thank you so much xx
Love all your selections. Miss hearing the organ. Thanks for sharing your remarkable talent.

I have a cheapo Kimball Swinger organ I got for free years ago. I love to combine the latin beats with the rock beats. really nice vibes from that, that make me feel so happy. so fun to jam with.
😢 Awesome
Just when I think your new stuff can’t get any better, I find this 5 year old gem. Corcovado was hauntingly beautiful!
Magnificent! Love your technique! One can feel how much you love this music when you play! Thank you so much for this performance! Bravo!!!

I would second that Geoff :)
Fantástico...👌👌
Brilliant thank you MIKE
An expert makes an excellent melody in something very current and pleasant to hear. Mike Reed has the power to feel us present in the wonderful past in his time machine, without having to close his eyes. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Thank you Mike!
BRAZILLIAN GENIALITY.
Love youvmike. Always be in our hearts.
I was enjoying your playing when I realized that you were doing something that has a parallel in watercolor painting.
Often when painting something like a green leaf, it is not un common to change the color from one side to the other. Start with a green then add some blue, then some yellow, then some orange… This is pretty much what you do when you play. You add or subtract harmonics or change the percussion on the fly, and not just at the new verses. It keeps the song fresh.
Well done!
Scott Sharp sent me here 😄
Love it 💯

Magnificient! Does anyone know where I can find the tabs/chords for this song? The way Mike is playing it? I have a comparable organ myself and would LOVE to be able to play this.. Cheers :)
I have lost Mike on my device …don’t know what went wrong hope he’s ok
I know he was very sick and am praying 🙏 that he is doing better…he gave so much to his listeners and only wish there were something we could do for him….Donna from land of pilgrims….love you, Mike…
You've found some of my favorite music, Mike. I commented on another one of your videos, now I've subscribed to you. I hope we'll continue to hear great stuff from you for a long time. I'll be going through your catalog of videos.
Great playing and an inspiration :) Could we hear your interpretation of Copacabana (At the Copa)?
Walter Wanderly...Eat Your heart out. I would guess he did not know his way around his B-3 like you do.
Mike do you ever play your A-100 without accompaniment?
Mike doesn't have a B-3, or an A-100. His performing preference is his 1974 Hammond Grandee.
hey guys....my club organ was a B-3, and Walter played an M-100, not a B! In the old days we had no rhythm units, so I always had a drummer, if possible.
I guess they all have the basic set of sounds and all can be made to sound very similar to each other. Like the sound of a B-3 with Leslie.
with that same tone generator, even the spinets sounded just like the big consoles. My spinet M-3 played through my regular speakers that my B-3 used, sounded the same. Crazy, isn't it, but Hammond wanted everyone to have the same big sound no matter what their organ model was. :0)
Love the tone wheel generated sound. Friends have experimented with replacing the old tube amplifiers with higher powered solid state amps and it just was not the same...we need the harmonics produced by tubes.
I like Rock albums like Booker T & The MGs' McLemore Avenue (Beatles Abbey Road Instrumental Cover) which features the B-3 sound. And artists like Billy Preston. But I also love the sound of a big Classical Pipe organ like the Skinner Organ at the Rockefeller Chapel on the U of Chicago campus. And as much as I love the B-3 sound, I love the piano too.
can i use the music in my videos?
Like always Mike, very good play... for my taste a bit to fast...
