Its sad when you learn more from a fellow weekend golfer than you have from certified teaching pros. These are the best set of lessons ive seen in 20 years.
Agree…these suckers are in it for the money.
Right O, you gotta stay sucker free!
By far the best explanation of a golf swing I’ve ever seen. It’s almost like the industry keeps this all a secret so you keep going back for lessons….never actually explaining the motions in layman’s terms. Thanks!
You have a very beautiful fluid golf swing
You’re sure something special, I really like Pete Cowen ,but you’ve just explained a golf swing that will teach and train anyone, thanks I’ll certainly follow you and recommend you to anyone in future, thankyou, thankyou 👍and best wishes to your future, from Aussie Graham 👍👍👍👍.
Thank you sir
Thanks for putting these golf vids together. I’m enjoying and learning. 🤙
Thanks for watching. I appreciate the comment
I am so glad you use coil instead of turn. I have seen so many young golfers get derailed by instructors who discuss turning and rotating but coil is much more accurate. Great video. Keep them coming.
Some will say tilt, not coil or turn.
Just the best frickin set of videos ever period
Thank you so much for knowledge and clarity. - I grow up caddying in the 50s and Ben Hogan book The 5 fundamentals was the Bible. Please know that Hogan would be very proud you. Super well done
The very best to you,
Dan
You’re doing a great job with your lessons played for 35 yrs 5 handicap and these videos have helped thank you and keep helping golfers
Best golf vids hands down. And you’re not a pro. But you know all the pro instructors all say something different. I never knew who was right! Great job brother.
Excellent Instruction ,the Anti X factor which has destroyed an lot of Backs ! Also love Front and down the Line views!
Well done.
I enjoy the musings of non teaching professionals.
Awesome swing 🎉
That lag you described I think used to be called the "caddie drag". A lot of great golfers many years ago did it.
They talk about Hogan's, it was his arms, his elbow, this hand that hand, he had incredible foot work and left knee action early hip turn much like your swing. Snead was the same.
Another great video buddy keep it up
Don’t hump the ball! Great advice!😮
You are sure right about the difficulty keeping the hips or butt back. I had a lesson last year for the first time in years and the pro pointed out a slight hip extension toward the ball with a drill to fix it. I've made many changes over the years, usually without too much of a problem, but this has been bar none THE hardest thing to change. Keeping the butt back and clearing the lead butt cheek back and out of the way....just struggle terribly with this move. At one point I really gave it a really strong effort on the first tee one day. Lightning shot through my lower left back and I had to wobble in pain back to the car. Luckily I have a remote control cart. Couldn't play for 2+ weeks.
At last someone is teaching you to get better with proper teaching and not agenda driven- this lag takeaway is the quickest way anyone can strike a ball properly - I did this with my dad years ago and he was amazed he started flushing the ball straight away
Thanks for putting these videos out there.👍 I notice you have a very flat swing is that natural for you or something you worked on achieving?
I consider this to be on plane, neither flat nor steep. Compared to current swing thoughts and theory it may be considered flat. It all depends on what we determine to be neutral. I consider most modern swings to be steep and above the plane. Nothing in golf has come naturally for me. I have worked very hard to understand how I wanted my body to move in order to produce the desired results, and then doubly hard to get my body to move that way. I am still in the process of learning and always will be.
All that work you've put in has indeed paid off for you.👍 Any chance of driver specific video with tips and drills? Thanks again.
@billmccann217 we’re getting there. Stay tuned!
It appears to me in frame 8:40 the right hand is more underneath - v pointing more towards right shoulder than was prescribed in lesson 1. Am I mistaken? Or did I misunderstand lesson 1 ?
Great observation! You’re not mistaken at all. This RH position will produce a slightly hooded or closed position at impact, and I just chose to grip it this way this time. Both the right hand and left hand are variable depending on the shot needed. More on this later. For full shots, most important is for the pad of left hand to be on top. Weak or strong variations of right hand will alter club delivery and shot shape. Try it for yourself and see.
Question please: What do you think about pre-hinging the wrist as a first step? I get movement is more fluid if you "cock you gun" (hinge the wrist) at the top, but for beginners I think that wiping motion with a heavy object (the club) introduces vibration that destabilizes the following downswing... Just wondering...
I think that any manner that allows you to reach a good position at impact is acceptable.
@@ArtemagoHi. Do you have an email adress i have specific questions. I am very greatfull i foind these videos. Hreat job!
How do get a zoom lesson
I’m thinking and working out the details for this option. Thx
This guy is talking from experience
Dude never hits any shots and golfers still listen. SMFH
