It's a matter of Ngannou surpassing expectations and Fury falling short of them. The latter still edged it out, though.

Ngannou won that for sure but he was never getting a decision from boxing judges.... What shocked me was that Fury was the one who got tired, Francis did some decent work to the body and he bullied Fury in those clinches instead of the other way around.

Super proud of Francis. He proved a lot of haters wrong in there. It just sucks he was never gonna win a decision. Boxing judges weren't gonna let an MMA fighter waltz into their sport and beat their poster boy on a decision. To be fair though, I feel like Tyson "won" more rounds, but similar to Volk vs Islam 1, I feel like Ngannou WON the fight. Furys rounds were technical and just peppering Ngannou, while Ngannou made his presence felt in there and had Fury backing up a lot
Ultimately though, it was a great fight
