Who will lead MTL in goals..

- OK Guys, it's time to take a look at the past few seasons.. and break down the Habs "lack of goal scoring issue". Aside from Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, there hasn't really been a whole lot of guys around who can find the back of the net. But with Patrick Laine added to the lineup.. Juraj Slafkovsky taking big steps forward, and a hungry Kirby Dach ready to get back into action.. Who will lead the MTL Canadiens in goal scoring next season?

The world is not ready for the Mario Armia Rocket Richard season
Mario is going to be so crazy that they will be making a whole new trophy just for him
Hell yeah
It’s not even gonna be close
Can you Armia when he enters his prime? Ouhhhweeee
Wawawewaa
I'm going to say Caufield, his tribute to Gaudreau will give him the puck luck he was missing last year.
I’m happy to not be the only who think about that. Gaudreau passing will hopefully unlock the true potentiel of Caufield 🙏🏻
I hope Caufield and Laine will shine as true snipers but I'm putting my money on dark horse Slafzilla. Watch him ROCK this season!
@@MarvoloRipley tbh if he's gonna play with nick and cole his role gonna be more about puck battles in the offensive zone. He isn't the guy always looking for a great spot to receive pucks for shooting. If you know what I mean. Nick and cole definitely gonna make chances for him, but he has the body for battling in the corners. He has to be productive in PP to improve his goals statistics.
@@dominik_9619 I get u totally. He will not be the target man for sure, but his style of play and evolution from the end of last season especially makes me think "what if". Especially his chemistry w Nick seemed on a different level when I compare Nick and Cole chem together for example. So I think he will defo have chances to put the garbage out in front of the net and we saw his 1T ability awakening last season too on that PP as long as Matheson passes him the freaking puck!😂 so yea I'm hopeful but nonetheless I just hope for a healthy season from all the players first and foremost!
Caufield and Laine will shine mark my words but then so is Slafkovsky Dach and Suzuki my friends Montreal will score over 300 this year. Ohh and ya you can take that to the bank.
PL - 39
CC - 37
NS - 35
Armia for Calder
Mario Armia, that is
Players who can score five goals in a single game are hard to come by, and Laine is part of that club, can't wait for the season to start!!
Nick had nice chemistry with Slaf, they both have great hands and vision.
It think Laine will, with our little bundle of joy in close second.
Josh Anderson no doubt
Plzzzzzz bro pllllzzz
Maybe for Laval
for laval aure but in montreal its impossible
A little bit of MSL TLC - love it - love our coach! Since getting hooked on this channel I don’t think I have ever been to excited to see the new season start. Keep up the awesome work hockey junkie. 👍
I would say Suzuki, Caufield, and Laine have the best chance at cracking 30+. Dach and Slaf should be able to hit 25 minimum (if healthy). Newhook, Roy, Matheson, and Hutson should be good for 20 with the rest potting 10-15 each (praying for Anderson to bounce back)
I predict around 280 total goals with healthy Laine this season
Give or take 20.
236 without dach 23-25 goals and laine 32-35. its more 291-296 we cannot be 20 below 300
I couldn't care less if Cole scores in the mid 20s, as long as he keeps increasing the assists numbers (ideally getting close to 100 pts) . If he gets more comfortable as a passer, so be it. I think it is a 3 way race between Suzuki - keeping his numbers up, Slaf - to continue his roll from the 2nd half of last season, and Laine - to show that he has the heart to get back in the game and adjust to our team; who will win? Hopefully not Suzuki again, only because he can't continue being the only constantly good producer. My heart wants a battle between Slaf and Laine for most goals, with Suzuki and Caufield cleaning up the damage with a nice 30+ goal season. Wouldn't that be something?
I obviously am not privy to that kind of information, but I felt like Caufield was asked to work on his passing game last season. The assists numbers of last year might not be accidental. My pet theory is that MSL wants Caufield to avoid becoming a one-trick pony that is too predictable. Using his accuracy with the puck to also make the right pass makes it harder to defend against and leverages the whole trio’s ability to put it in.
Watch it be Hutson...
...cause everyone else suffers season ending injuries
Caufield's +/- has risen drastically under the tutelage of MSL. Mid 30's this year is my prediction.
I enjoy your videos ! Cant wait this season to start! Go Habs Go
mario (gretzky) armia might really become the goal scorer for the habs
Then we're in major trouble 😂
My prediction for Mario Armia is that he because no less than a goal per game player. This will be his long awaited breakout season.
@@densel.c8935I mean, he's just 18, he's got many years ahead of him
If he can play properly and get traded for a 1st choice, that would be the best
In 23-24 someone said that Caufield's average shot speed was down by 5 km/h, which I suppose is a lot at elite leveI. So I believe that is shoulder wasn't totally repaired. By the end of the year he started to score more. My call is that he will be back on track this year.
36 goals caufield(71 points), 32 goals laine (60 points), 28 goals thick nick(83 points), 25 goals slaf (68 points), 19 goals newhook(48 points) and 19 goals dach 50 points, 17 roy (38 points), anderson and gally both hit 17 goals as well. matheson gets 13 goals and 53 points, lane gets 11 goals and 47 points
My heart tells me Caufield, but I think Suzuki has a monster year and hits 45 goals this year.
Hope you feel better soon!!
I think Suzuki not a big goal scorer. Last season's an exception because he had to stands up. But I hope he proves me wrong and put 35.
Slaf will go off this season 😎
So pumped!! Bring on the games already!!
Hard to predict, but I would say the Finn, the newfoundland kid,and the American finished 1 2 3 in scoring forwards for the Habs this year.. just my unprofessional opinion. Lol.
Laine with 42 goals
Caufield with 39 goals
Slafkovsky with 35 goals
Suzuki with 33 goals
Dach with 33 goals
Roy with 28 goals
I think this season is going to be excellent in Montreal. The top 6 will be amazing, meaning the 3rd line will be great too, Armia - Newhook - Gallagher.
That's a playoffs season right there
@@MetalCharlo Let's go!! Go Habs Go!
Well that would be fucking amazing (and I hope you're right) but I doubt we will have that many 30 goals scorers this season! Especially not Dach since he hasn't played in a year!
I think Harvey pinard is closer to producing 28 goals than Roy, but that's a good problem to have lol
@@philtess3126 RHP isn't as good as Roy, and the poor guy is injured.
Philippines 🇵🇭. Thanks mate.
Great vid bro ! Suzuki
I really hope for a friendly and deadly competition with cole and laine. Could make the difference for a spot in series and it could create a huge surprise 🤞
Love the dirty work clip
Suzuki = 39
Caufield = 44
Slafkovsky = 34
Laine = 37
Dach = 29
Newhook = 25
Gallagher = 18
Mario Armia = 103
gally will be under 18 goals hes wash
I'm rooting for Mario Armia 😊
The fact that we are talking about 3 guys with the potential to reach 30+ goals and maybe 4 if Slavsila get it going is pretty amazing in MTL. Will Dach join in???? Man I am so excited for this weekend’s games against the baby Maple Laughts…..the future of the Habs on display against a hated rival !!! #GOHABSGO
It should be caufield
Definitely
Not if Laine is healthy
Armia memes will never not be funny 😂😂😂😂
Your backround music is soo good
I think Montreal has 4 players that could lead for sure. I dont believe were Stanley Cup bound yet but they can always surprise us. They did it in 1993. No one had them picked that year to win the cup.
Mario Armia for sure!!
It's obviously going to be Mario Armia with 50 goals... PER GAME!
I see zero flaws in this choice. 10/10 would choose for King of Hockey.
If you go through the lineup top to bottom, and give an honest guestimation (with tempered expectations) on goal totals for each player, its pretty impressive and exciting. Even if you adjust for injury and a bit of over enthusiasm it's still a playoff number. Yet I still have a hard time seeing them being anywhere higher than fighting for a wildcard. Very interesting.
Internal competition can only help! A race between Laine and Caufield (and Matheson :P) for the lead would be SO sweet!!!
I'll believe it when I see it. If Montreal's physical condition is on par with previous seasons we'll have all of those guys on the IR list before December and we'll watch some no-names trying to feed Pizzeta's terrifying goal scoring abilities.
Just think of Laine's attitude when he's surounded by 36 reporters after the first PRE-season game asking why he didn't score and if he can say 3 words in french... He'll be begging for a trade prior to the season start 🙂
Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see them score goals and be a good team, finally. I'll just believe it when I see it. Not any time earlier.
I think Caufield played an adjusting season. He got better
Mario 100% is gonna get the calder and the vezina this season
Mario Armia. Book it.
Look at CC's +/-. Steady improvement. He's rounding out his game. Nothing to worry about.
I suppose a four way tie for 35 is asking a bit much.
Gonna be Slaff! 42! Patrick with 38! Let’s Go
Heres what Jojo medium told me!
Laine 39
Caufield 35
Suzie and Slaf 25
Armia and Dach 20
Powerplay will be fun to watch!
That "Get your ass outta here" about Doucharme cracked me up !!! Lmao
Put Caufield and Laine on the same line and they're gonna score 90 goals between the two.
Why would you put both snipers on the same line when you got dach on the second line that's needs a sniper as well? You need physical presence to complete the line, slat for the first and maybe Anderson for the second? Or you pitch in the fact that dach is 6'4 and Laine 6'5 and you add newhook for speed. I really don't see Caulfield and laine on the ice at the same time unless your one the pp
Also, don't forget the habs arent the team with the greatest bottom 6, so they can very well play both of the top lines up to 22 minutes a night and give only 10 ish minutes to the 4th line without being scarred of halting any prospect's development
@@philtess3126 Two shooting threats on the same line should mean more space for both of them. And Laine is a pretty good playmaker as well, not just a sniper. The other top line doesn't necessarily need a dedicated sniper to be effective.
@@romaliop it means if we face a good defensive line, they could shutdown both our top scorers at the same time. It also means that the ones who are gonna have to play the physical game on the line is Laine and dach (Caulfield isn't really effective along the boards) and both haven't had the greatest history when it comes to physical contact. Besides the pp, I really don't wanna see Caulfield and laine on the same line.
If every Hab increases their productivity by 1% and both Dach and Laine have the bounce-back we're all hoping to see then this team will be an absolute thorn in the side of the Eastern conference probably less than 10 points out of a playoff spot if not even better than that.
Josh Anderson 60 goals incoming
for his career
I'd like to say Mario Armia but that's too easy 😂 so I'll say slaf-zilla with 36
Caulfield led the team by far in shots around a hundred more than Nic, but had a very low under 9% scoring percentage. That can’t happen on a winning team. He should be more of a set up guy or in the bumper spot on the # PP.
Team’s are anticipating his schtlck. If he focuses less on shooting, Slav will reach 30 goals and I could see Suzi and him reach 30 as well. If Dach pans out Laine will get close to 40. Dach should be the straw that stirs this drink. His health will be the biggest task for the Habs build this year.
The Habs players will be shooting like a Gattling Gun , and some internal competition for top goal scorer will be awesome to witness.
Secondary scoring from the D... Hutson and Arber Xhekaj... Now that's another topic.
Goal Caulfield
Get better soon. Only 10 sleeps left until the preseason.
Everyone know it's Mario Armia!
Increase for Caufield, Laine, and Slaf. But Slick Nick will take it again!!
We all know Mario armia is bringing home the mariuce Richard
Mario Armia Will finally EXPLODE to his full potential this year...mark my words.
I Habsolutely think Anderson is going to have a huge bounce back year on the second line
Could you imagine how that would add wins to our season total!
I have a feeling he's gonna be just as bad
@@adamCarter20 we can only hope he gets back to where he was before
on second sure for his trade value in future we dont want him 😌
@@JeanJames-ff3wx That I agree with, IF he bounces back, easier to trade
It's gonna be suzuki. Maybe that's the boring answer, but it is what it is.
Laine’s gonna put up 38 goals and make Hughes look like Nostradamus. GHG!
Laine - Caufield - Slaf - Suzuki - some D man
Thx for the vid. Obviously it will be Carey Price :)
My TOTs are...Thomas...TAAAAAAAAAATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaarrrrrrr
Caufield scores 38, Laine 37, Suzuki 35, Slaf 30
That would just be crazy
I think it's possible if no injuries. Newhook Dach and possibly even Mario Armia could sniff 20. Anderson and Gallagher can get to 20 if they find a time machine.
@@benjamingagnon7486 not out of the realm of possibility however
Of course, the last time the team had 4 players with 30 goals or more was 1993, so ...
@@viper29ca im still really optimist for that Seasons :) God damn that right now !!
How could you forget Armia with 50….
If Laine play 80 games, we should withness....40 goals at least. Ça fait tellement longtemps que nous attendons cela. And maybe Cole gonna take that as à challenge ahd score 41....
If Mario played with Patrik on a line... dope times ahead!
My prediction for Top 6 for 2024-25...
L1 Slafkovsky 30G 40A - Suzuki 40G 40A - Caulfield 35G 40A
L2 Newhook 25G 35A - Dach 20G 45A - Laine 35G 35A
Call it now.
Laine and CC photo finish, with 40 and 41.
2:31 what was that word? colo something caufield? what mean?
Suomeksi perätähystys caufield
I want to say Caufield but I think Slaf is going to be a goal beast and lead them , Zuk with more points over all and Cole a hard 2nd and Laine 3rd if put on the 1st pp
Hey @HockeyJunkie - I always wanted to know, do you make your own videos all by yourself? Or did you have a producer like Steve Dangle does?
Hey bud, yup, I make these videos by myself.
@@HockeyJunkie I have to say that's pretty impressive. You have the best Habs channel on UA-cam and it's not even close.
Safe bet is on Suzuki
Caufield and Laine equal top scorers.
Don't think anybody scores 40 next year but would be nice to have 3-4 / 30 goal scorers
Caufeild
Suzuki
Laine
New hook or Slaf
Caufeild 41 goal,laine 35,Suzuki 32,Slaf 30
My guess is the presents of Laine will jumpstart Cole and we might even get to see them battle for goals on the team and see who gets 40 first🎉 😃
Suzi scores 35. CC and Laine both score 40.
Laine best year yet in carrière 65g
I’m going Suzuki. There were many times he was forcing passes. It seems he is always tasked with getting everyone going. I’d like to see him a-bit more selfish.
Newhook will benefit the most from Dachs return and Laines presence.
patrik laine, 75 goal -hockey junkie
Not easy to score 40 when you are on the only dangerous trio of your team. Laine will help him a lot on this part, Caufield won’t have to always play against their best Def trio.
I’m saying now Laine will hit 40 with the Habs
I'm thinking Laine
Healthy Laine 35+
Healthy Caufield 35+
Healthy Suzuki 30~
Healthy Slafkovsky 25+
Healthy Dach 20~
Healthy Newhook 20~
Healthy Roy 15-20
Healthy Gallagher 15~
Healthy Armia 15~
Healthy Dvorak 10~
Healthy Anderson 10~
Healthy Evans 10.
But can they stay healthy ?
LAINE - 38
CAUFIELD - 35
SUZUKI - 30
SLAF - 28
I'm saying, its either Caufield or Slaf, both ending with between 33 and 35 goals. Caufield will continue to rise and Slaf will simply pop off
I got Laine hitting 40+ not sure caufields there yet but either of them could lead in scoring
Enter Patrick Laine! Enter Lane Hutson! And re-enter Kirby Dach!
Pezzetta will dominate this team in all categories. He’ll be the runaway MVP of the Habs!! 😂
Caufield’s going for 40!
Here we go, my unbias predictions (if they stay healthy):
Laine: 35 goals
Caufield: 32 goals
Suzuki: 28 goals
Slaf: 28 goals
Dach: 20 goals
Newhook: 18 goals
they not ready for wideman to score 53 goals😮💨😮💨
Patrick laine is my guess
Je pense que Laine va jouer un rôle de grand frère. (Had to say this is french, otherwise it wouldn't work).
Suzuki
a VERY unpredictable team because IF the coach has any merit at all he goes with the best players NOT the favorites. So if the second line is playing better hockey they should be promoted to top ice time duties then we might see Dach or Laine at the top.
My eyes will be much more interested to see if our inept coaches can solve the poor defensive zone play STOP the long cycles.
I really don't care if Laine scores 50 if he is on for more goals against it just means we are losing hockey games.
